Early 2026 is just around the corner @danielledanielle. Happy to hear that the brand will be in Sephora and Sephora at Kohl's stores (and online, of course). They have a ton of product so I'll be interested to see which of their product offerings will be made available.

This MAC to Sephora news gives me hope that perhaps Cle de Peau (which Sephora Canada also carries) may someday make its way to Sephora US. 🤞

Guess so @danielledanielle ! I’m still loyal to a few lip colors that I love so hopefully they’ll be available . Haven’t used much else but they were some of my first favorite reds way back in the day.

Wow, I haven’t used makeupalley in a long time. I probably posted there even before Sephora had a community page. At the time I was looking specifically into curly hair care, back when there were far fewer products. I remember it being fun and active but it looks like it must have gotten used less. 26 years is a long time for a platform, I guess. @greeneyedgirl107

Sad news from Ahead of the Kirb (I’ve also seen it reported a few other places within the last 18 hours, including People magazine):

Earlier this summer, I started getting text messages again from UOMA. I hoped Sharon would regain control, or at least be brought on as creative director. My heart goes out to her loved ones. This loss really hurts.

I'm shocked. It's sad, and horrifying. Without knowing the cause, it just feels like Sharon put her whole self into Uoma and just was burned out -- inside and out. Terribly sad.

DE MINIMIS EXCEPTION IS ENDING SOON

Just wanted to remind everyone that if you're used to buying indie makeup or skincare from international retailers, the De Minimis exception is ending on August 28th. It had already expired for China and Hong Kong but now Canadian, European, Australian, Korean, Japanese, etc, retailers will also be affected. I've seen posts from Cosmic Brushes saying they probably won't be shipping to the US for a while. Olive Young is adding 15% to your purchase.

Maybe they'll get pushed back again but just something to remember.

Ulta, Target to end beauty mini-shop partnership in 2026

(Reuters) -Ulta will wrap up its mini-store partnership in Target stores after the current contract ends in August 2026, the companies said on Thursday.

The partnership, announced in November 2020 and rolled out in August 2021, aimed at giving Target shoppers greater access to prestige beauty brands.

Shares of Target fell 2%, while Ulta was down around 1%. They did not elaborate on why the partnership was ending.

Target has been facing softening demand as customers pulled back on discretionary purchases due to ongoing worries about inflation and the economy, due to U.S. President Donald Trump's trade war.

However, beauty segment sales rose 5% in 2024, standing out as a bright spot, compared to a 0.9% decline in overall merchandise sales for the year.

The companies said the Ulta Beauty at Target experience will continue in Target stores and on Target.com until the partnership ceases.
