Beginning August 1st, 2024 at around 9am Pacific Time, the default Forum private message setting will be set to “OFF” for all members of the Beauty Insider Community. This means that all members of the Beauty Insider Community, including existing members who currently have their private messages turned on, will have their PMs defaulted to OFF on August 1st. Please visit account settings (the gear icon) on a desktop or mobile web browser to adjust your preferences. Once private messaging is re-enabled after being toggled off by default, any previous message history will be restored. Going forward, new members joining Community for the first time will have their private messages turned off by default when they register, with the ability to visit account settings to adjust their preferences.

@caitbird, that's wonderful you can wear the pink and red eyeshadows - they look great on you. And yes, there was that stretch of time (we're beyond it, right?! 😅) where it seemed like a new pink and red eyeshadow palette was being released every day, sometimes multiple times during the day. Great for those who love and can wear those pretties, but it was easy to pass on those for me - and my wallet, I'm sure was grateful, which makes me think that I'm entitled to some splurges and healthy hauls now. 🤣 I feel like it's a combination of the dyes used and my eye area (and lids in particular) being particularly sensitive. Light or soft pink shadows I can usually wear without a problem; I'm finding rose gold shades are generally okay though to be fair, I haven't experimented to much with them.

@CookieGirl1, I'll likely pick up a face and eye brush, to see how they compare to existing brushes. I'll pick up one (or possibly both) of the sets as gifts as well, for recipients I have in mind as well as possibly a backup Christmas gift - if I have a last minute or unexpected guest over for a holiday get together, I like to have some gifts on hand that might be suitable, so everyone (who is open to gifts) feels included if/when are handed out 🎁

@ather, ahh, thank you! Summer is going by so fast! Oh, this Tatcha lip scrub only came out recently, along with a lip plumping balm (one of those that does sting). I think you may have told me already (sorry), but does it usually get warmer for you in late summer. It does for us: it tends to get a lot warmer in the traditional fall months, September to mid/late October.
