Beauty Insider Community Feedback

Hello beautiful Beauty Insider Community members! 

 

We’re starting this thread for you guys to report any issues and weird things that you are seeing or ask any questions. We have a number of issues logged that we are already working on a fix for, so this is a work in process.

 

Some things to note as you are reporting issues:

  • If you are looking for a thread and can’t find it, please post here. We’ll need to manually move some threads that got lost in the migration to their correct groups.
  • If you are reporting a bug please be specific about the issue you're seeing, how you got there (“I clicked here and it did *this*”), the device you're using and which browser you're in. 

 

Some tips:

  • If you are looking for a thread that you commented on in the old community, go to the front page of conversations and click the “My Posts” tab. This is where you will find all of your conversations activity, including your heart count.

 

It’s good to see you all and thanks for being patient!

 

Whenever reporting a bug we need as much info as possible or our tech team cannot reproduce the issue and verify it's actually occurring. If they can't see the issue they cannot fix it. You cannot overshare details, test on too many devices or share too many screenshots... The more detail the better!

@danielledanielle That was happening to me yesterday.  I put mine in private mode and haven't had any issues.  I don't need to clear cookies or anything.

This is in the app, though @SportyGirly125 .  Can you put it in private mode? If so, walkthrough plz.

 

R/T original comment - for anyone - you can click off the login and continue, as I started to do last night, but it's very cumbersome to keep doing and if the app is encouraged as apps often are, it shouldn't be happening.. Also, I'm on an Android, a pixel phone.

@danielledanielle @TeamBIC I only use the App as the last resort when replying or posting.  I couldn't log in mobile web like normal (never had to clear cookies just re type the website to get in).  For some reason it was glitching where I couldn't type my password, or when I did it wouldn't log me in.  Being in private mode was the only way I could get in mobile web.

 

The app works for me but it's a pain as it doesn't show recent posts like on mobile web or desktop.  Also, the search menu sucks.

Good Morning

I wanted to convey a few things I’m noticing one of them is the same as last week 

 

  • Notifications not showing up 
  • Getting some emails but not all
  • Error screen on Sephora home page which I couldn’t take a snap shot of because it logged me out 
  • finally site is logging in and out 


Update: I haven’t gotten any notifications or emails since yesterday.

Hi all! Thanks for chiming in with reports of various issues you're seeing (e.g., continued log in problems, missing notifications, etc.). I want to acknowledge quickly that we're aware of these issues, and our tech partners are working on improvements as well speak! A couple of you might've already seen a fix on the notifications issue 🤞 We appreciate your patience as we work through the bugs. 😊

@GeorginaBT  thank you so much for the update! My notification feed is back now, and I am getting some emails at least, although they still seem to be delayed.

For the last few days I haven't received email notifications and can't access my notification feed either, it just says I have none.

@peculiarzmakeup  same for me, no notifications at all since yesterday. I'm not getting notification emails, and my notifications are not showing up in the app, mobile site or desktop site. I hope this gets fixed soon!

@TeamBIC, all notifications are gone.  On laptop, firefox browser.

Also, still can't log in without having to clear cookies on my laptop.  It's a little better on mobile Firefox, but I usually have to clear my cookies the following day.

The only way I saw this is because I’m trying to go through my posts that’s how I can see replies but same here, I hope it’s resolved soon @danielledanielle 🫶

Hi @TeamBIC  I'm reporting an issue I've been having that others have mentioned on other threads as well.

Items I'm trying to add to my loves list. ( On the App and Chrome Website) won't stay selected. It's not consistent, some items I can add, and others I cannot. 

 

Right now for example, on either Chrome Brower or App from my Google Phone 

Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Moisture Repair Balm Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane 1.41 ... won't stay loved after I leave the screen, or appear on my loves list.
