The other thread was getting too long and difficult to load!
So what are your beauty pet peeves? What grinds your gears? Share your stories!!!
I think that lady is 100% wrong here is why. Plum plump is not as good for sensitive skin, and all my friends have broken out from it, and it’s bad smell 🤮🤢🤢 yuck!
much more recommend the pink moisturizer option because it’s better for dry skin, doesn’t have any fake smells, looks better, and doesn’t break you out.
Honey sweetie hope this help! 😜
For dry skin they recommend Plum Plump @jackiesirl
It describes which skin type is best for each product in the products information if you expand on them, or if you scroll through the pictures there's a picture describing which one is for which skin type. I hope this helps!
Two more pet peeves: first, the Sephora sale pages never load right for me...I can't get onto the last two pages or so, and the previous ones take forever to load and get stuck; next, I updated my credit card, and my order just won't go through. I think I'm just going to pass on the Laura Mercier Rouge Essentiel Silky Cream Lipstick
@greeneyedgirl107 - I have the same issue with the sales pages. This afternoon I was looking at the shampoos and conditioners and at around the 300 item mark (so near the end) the list/page hung up. It wouldn't budge, reload, or anything else. I finally closed the tab. I thought this was just my tablet or Chrome being difficult.
I wish companies used individual pages instead of "load more" (I don't know what these continually loading pages are called), but they are so annoying. Between the above and when you click on a product to go to the product page and then return to the sales page and have to start from the top and "load more" over and over to get back to where you were (instead of defaulting back to where you were), it's almost to the point where I just don't want to browse any more! 😖
I thought it was just me. It really is frustrating sometimes.
@Titian06 @greeneyedgirl107 I have experienced this too, for me, the 'load more' eventually boots me back to the top of the screen and I have to start over completely. 😭
@CynthieLu @Titian06 it's a very crummy system having to start over each time you click on something from the sales page. What I've taken to doing is adding the items I'm potentially interested in to my loves list, then looking at them from my love list so I don't have to keep reloading. Of course, that assumes I can add them to my loves list. I had trouble today. I also had issues recently with adding other products to my loves, like some Kerastase; the heart either wouldn't activate or wouldn't stay activated.
Spending so much on a product only for it to and have air bubbles in it. It doesn’t look like a lot in the picture but it’s not picking up in all the little ones too. Low key giving me trypophobia 😭
@s0fiia awww, is it applying smoothly? The temptation is there to warm it up and gently smush the bubbles out….
I hate it when my favorite tinted moisturizer is caking…. *sad
@giegiepeachie A tinted moisturizer shouldn’t even be thick enough to cake. Yeah that’s definitely bad. Have you tried making your own tinted moisturizers by adding a little of your best matching foundation to moisturizer? The better the match the less likely you’ll be to notice caking if it occurs.
When I can't remember if I tried a product or not! Can't remember if I tried Good Molecules niacinamide or if I tried Essence Bye Bye Panda Eyes tubing mascara.
@greeneyedgirl107 @Oh I’ve had this happen! I used to remember everything I had tried and took pride in it and now I find myself not remembering. I guess that’s what happens when we want to try everything.
100% with you on this @greeneyedgirl107; definitely a pet peeve. 😞
@itsfi I think Ulta makes it a little difficult. I stopped writing reviews b/c it was too hard to manage them, as they don't keep track on your account of what you posted on. Of course, I don't think Sephora has been doing much better -- can we even access our Sephora reviews again?
@greeneyedgirl107 @itsfi I can see my reviews on the Sephora app.
@greeneyedgirl107 Agree with @SportyGirly125 , I realized I can both post reviews and see my last 20 or so reviews if I go in through the app. Neither is possible in desktop or mobile browser.
Of course, the app is useless for Community participation so it brings up that pet peeve, lol! Still, because the review process can be so hit or miss, I’ve taken to writing my reviews completely in Notes, then copy over to the review page.
@greeneyedgirl107, it’s a challenge not being able to search for your reviews. It would be great to be able to access them again; I know it’s being worked on. I try to keep track of products I review but some days are better than others.
Went to Kohl's + Sephora today, and so many testers were MIA!
When I out of sunscreen on my face and then concealer, and then later you look in a mirror and it’s peeling off! I hate this so muchhhhh!
@GraysieJ This tends to happen when you’ve applied too thick a layer and the outer layer dries leaving the product underneath still moist. Try thinner layers- especially with concealer in the mobile areas of your face where cracking and peeling is more likely to occur.
