Items being OOS during a sale

MAKE UP FOR EVER - 270 Angled Eyebrow Brush

SEPHORA COLLECTION - Eye Love Eyeshadow Palette in Medium Cool

It seems the MUFE were all in the sale section, so I get that they went fast.  And the Sephora palette is inexpensive, so I can easily buy it at full cost.  But, the sell outs this early take some of the fun out of things.

Re: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

When the ENTIRE point of your purchase was to use the special sale code... and you forget to even use it... 🙃

Re: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

Smiley Sad Man, that's such a bummer. I wish Sephora allowed us to cancel orders within the first hour after an order is placed. I know of some other online retailers do this and I appreciate it so much. It would really help for those occasions where you make a mistake (i.e. selecting a wrong colour, forgetting a code, etc.).

When you buy something and next day it’s on sale 😭

RE: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

“In progress” going on the third day. Cool.

Re: RE: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

@Blackwhiskey - That's because there's only one step stool for the entire warehouse and your item is at the back on the top shelf!  Smiley Very Happy  💖💖💖

There's a $25 Rouge reward sitting in the (US) Bazaar for 1000 points. So that's a max take of 4k points for a $100 credit? I've taken Psych 101, I get the whole intermittent reward system thing, but except for Marc Jacobs eyeliners every single thing I buy at Sephora is something I can get at Nordstrom. I've been a staunch Sephora loyalist, but maybe Notes should be the way for me to go in the future 🤨

Re: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

@fieldsofclover  I just saw that when I checked the Bazaar and thought it must be a joke.  Aren't the $50 - 1500 points?  I'd like to use my points but to me that not a deal.  I've yet to see the $100 cards - I'd grab one of those since it would be at least something I could do with my points.  I'm really grasping at straws at their math here.

Re: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

@MCSSavvy @fieldsofclover - I saw $100 card about a month ago.  It was actually up for two days!  I don't remember how many points were required, 2500?, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay $2500 for $100 even though it was money already spent.  To me those points are still $.  It's a better deal than the $25 and $50, which I had not heard of until know.  If I see one again, I might change my mind and get it, even though it's ridiculously priced...

RE: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

I’m thinking the same thing - Nordstrom notes are much better deal than Sephora points

Beauty Pet Peeves 2

So whenever I shave I get annoying razor bumps. I decided to try wax, seemed like a decent product, and had decent reviews. I tried waxing, following the instructions religiously and it did not work. you can see it did not remove hair, my skin is red, irritated, and peeling, and there are small bruises where it damaged deeper down. I am going to go tomorrow and ask for a refund, this is just stupid. Seems like it had false reviews and deleted reviews as well...

RE: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

I wax for a living and sometimes my clients will buy wax kits for home if they’re trying to save money. They do it themselves and then they ALWAYS come back to me. The cheap wax kits non pros can buy aren’t great and it really takes a lot of training to get it perfect.

RE: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

I agree there’s definitely an art to waxing at home it’s not just about the product. I used to do my own waxing and purchased a professional wax pot but it took a little bit to learn the best techniques.

Re: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

@ChescaCat  Ouchi....what wax product did you use?

Re: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

My new pet peeve is foundation in glass bottles. Took one on a trip this weekend and knocked it onto the bathroom floor within minutes of unpacking it (before I could apply it, of course). Guess I'm sticking to plastic from now on!

@tastelikewater, Bummer :( I've done that, too, and final...

@tastelikewater, Bummer Smiley Sad I've done that, too, and finally invested in a stick foundation for travel. I feel like you get less for the money but that may not even be true. I have the Westman Atelier stick foundation but I hear great things about the Houglass, too.

Re: Beauty Pet Peeves 2

Filters are my biggest online beauty pet peeve. When I see people wanting to show off a new product, but there’s a filter on the picture, I don’t even bother. Only a filter-less photo will show how the product really works.

I must admit I feel this way about filters in general. Maybe it’s because I’m from the time before filters. I just feel it hides who we are, and doesn’t portray confidence. Confidence, to me, is what makes us all most beautiful.
