Fragrance: SpoilerHarlem Candle Company The Wiz candle - a limited edition candle I hope will be restocked at least once, because I’d love to have a second one. Fragrance notes from HCC vs. what I smell: SpoilerTop: Bergamot, White Pepper, Incense Middle: Sichuan Pepper, Artemisia, Coriander Base: Australian Sandalwood, Tonka Bean, Palo Santo I don’t get a ton of bergamot, surprisingly. It’s there but muted; it doesn’t overpower or turn this into a citrus candle. My nose picks up more of the tonka bean, woods, incense, and coriander. I also get some green herbal notes, most likely from the artemisia, and a mellow spicy lemony kick from Sichuan pepper. When this candle’s unlit, it reminds me of warm spiced applesauce. ❤️ VOLUSPA Cordless Fragrance Oil Diffuser - thanks again to @eshoe for her helpful feedback on this diffuser. I love its small footprint, weighty feel, matte textured finish, and ability to run while charging. I do kinda wish it had an intermittent spray option instead of just a continuous spray, but I can just turn it off and on periodically. It’s working well for me so far. Hair: Spoileramika Reset Cleansing Oil 6.7 oz / 200 mL - a pre-poo scalp clarifier that doesn’t cause irritation or wreck my coils. I apply and massage it on my dry scalp (it always foams up on my dry hair, so I sometimes do some very light finger detangling here), let it sit up to 5 minutes, rinse it out, and follow with my usual Redken shampoo. Ever since I started using this, shampooing has been less of a physical and mental chore and my scalp’s felt better. The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + Hyaluronic Acid Scalp Serum 60ml - the perfect scalp moisturizer for me: milky (not oily), lightweight, non-greasy, and doesn’t create a ton of product buildup on its own. It’s very runny, so it initially took me a few uses to get the hang of application. Now I’m on my 3rd or 4th bottle. Definitely helps keep the itchies at bay. PATTERN by Tracee Ellis Ross Curl Gel - the only hair gel I use now. It gives me great curl definition that’s soft to the touch (no hard crunchy cast) and holds for 3-4 days. On wash days, I apply it to soaking wet hair and then run a brush (usually PATTERN by Tracee Ellis Ross Shower Detangling Brush) through my coils to make ‘em pop. On non-wash days, I wet my hair down, apply this gel, and run my fingers through my hair to distribute and do a bit of maintenance detangling. This gel has broken my longtime habit of just scrunching gel into my hair instead of running it through my hair. - a pre-poo scalp clarifier that doesn’t cause irritation or wreck my coils. Makeup: SpoilerLYS Beauty Higher Standard Cream Glow Blush Sticks Curvy - such a great dewy papaya orange shade on me! I dip into the stick with a brush (usually SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Blush Brush #99), then do my usual stamp-then-buff application to my cheeks. This blush lasts all day and, since it’s so pigmented, I only need to apply a small bit. It’ll take me a long time to empty my LYS blush sticks. 😅Ami Colé Skin-Enhancing Lightweight & Blurring Foundation Stick 300 - one of those “what glorious witchcraft is this” products that greatly exceed my expectations, and I’ll thank @danielledanielle again for convincing me to try it. I sometimes use this on and around my nose to mask redness. That’s where all my visible pores are, and it’s my oily zone. This magic stick blurs those pores (not something I was after, but a surprising feat nonetheless), blends effortlessly with a finger or brush, looks like natural skin, and stays put without setting powder or spray—even in warm sunny weather when my oily zone goes overboard. Plus, this shade is dang near perfect for me. I’ve used it a few times to tone down overdone blush (still trying to get used to the NARS powder blush reformulation) and, of course, it handles that task like a champ. I love it so much, I recently bought a backup. - such a great dewy papaya orange shade on me! I dip into the stick with a brush (usually ), then do my usual stamp-then-buff application to my cheeks. Skincare: SpoilerThe Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion Serum 0.5 oz / 15 ml - I’ve been testing this as a possible cost effective step-up from my beloved Avène RetrinAL 0.1 Intensive Cream. My main reason for using retinaldehyde is to reduce my large patches of hyperpigmentation. It’ll take another month of using The Ordinary’s serum before I can judge its effectiveness there. But for now, I love that it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy and hasn’t caused any irritation. I was able to ramp up to nightly use quickly with no issues, but that’s because I’ve used 0.1% retinal for a few years; my skin’s plenty used to retinaldehyde by now. Eventually I’ll test another brand’s much pricier retinal serum. For now, I’m enjoying The Ordinary’s. COSRX Low pH Niacinamide Micellar Cleansing Water - contains madecassoside (a component of centella asiatica) and allantoin to soothe my skin, plus zinc PCA, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. In all my head-to-head tests, this micellar water removed more makeup, sunscreen, and dirt than Bioderma Sensibio H2O. I still love Bioderma but will use it more as a solo morning cleanser when needed. The COSRX micellar water does leave my skin feeling lightly coated… not a greasy film though, more like a very light moisturizing layer if that makes sense. I can see that bothering some people. Not me though: I’ve used about 60% of this bottle and will restock. Good Light Taste of Space Lip Milk - finally found my Glossier Bubblewrap replacement! I always used Bubblewrap strictly as a lip serum and topped it with Aquaphor. I do the same with this lip milk: apply a thin layer to water-damp lips, let it settle for a few seconds, and then top it off. It has a berry flavor and a light raspberry scent that doesn’t linger. I was worried about a couple of ingredients my lips might not like, but so far I’ve had no irritation. 👍 - I’ve been testing this as a possible cost effective step-up from my beloved Avène RetrinAL 0.1 Intensive Cream. @jaaayp South to me can really be US but normally I mean Mexico!! Where north are you going? Canada north? I did a slow trip to my home town. I’ve done a few to the US too. Ooo International solo trip that sounds fun! Is it for work? Are you meeting anyone there? Are you going to Europe? My husband does a lot of solo trips when he’s working away. Good for you to go!!! I’m a nervous traveller so I’m not sure if I can give any good tips! I’m also the traveller who just follows my husband who does all the planning and all the things. Which is funny since my friend loves travelling and she’s the one who does all the planning. She laughs at me when I say I just follow along. As long as there will be coffee I’m good! 🙂 I’ve been trying to plan a girls trip but no one has really been sold. Darn. I’d love to go to Aspen in the winter it’s so pretty there!

lol @jaaayp! I've always thought of putting a foundation in a pan it! challenge, especially whenever I see our phenomenal @blackkitty2014 shares her amazing progress with her luxe foundations throughout the year on the Pan It! - 2024 Challenge thread. We shall see. I think it was @missjeanie who mentioned that she likes to keep her pan items to 10 and I'm of the same mindset - I may have more than 10 goals but I've found 10 products is a good number for me. Usually, I've replaced a product with one from the same or similar category, but I'm open to deviating from that approach. I'll noodles on it more.
