@Suzzu @First you have to have 200 points to attend. Sephora sends out an email or a link on IG to register for the events they have. They are all different days and times. It is on zoom for about a hour. Currently the ones for this month are all fully booked.

Look for ingredients like niacinamide to help regulate oil, and salicylic acid to keep pores clear. Lightweight hydrators like glycerin are still important, even oily skin needs water. Try to avoid very heavy oils or thick occlusives during the day, and go for light gel or fluid textures instead.

@ArPerlaPipa, the Danessa Myricks blurring balm setting spray is in my rotation and one I like to reach for a lot, specifically for its ability to set my makeup and give me a soft blur effect. I say "soft blur" - my makeup looks blurred but not like I caked on a lot of makeup. I like that I can just use this as my setting powder and setting spray in one, though in full disclosure if I use concealer over a pimple, I will set that particular spot with a setting powder first. I was hesitant about the setting spray at first because my skin didn't take to her balm primer but the setting spray is among my top setting sprays. It's held up on days when I'm running around town and breaking out in a sweat just the same as on days when I'm just in front of a computer. My skin varies by season - combo in the warmer seasons with an oily T-zone (I also get oily in my lower T-zone about once a month year round) and then normal/combo-to-dry in the winter. Pores are visible on my nose primarily. I started with the Danessa Myricks Beauty Mini Yummy Skin Liquid Blurring Balm Mattifying Setting Spray 1.7 oz/50 mL and second @danielledanielle (thanks for the tag!) suggestion to start there! I passed that one along to a friend so she could try it because I liked it so much (and I had a backup one at home). I also picked up a full size during the current sale.

To expand your search, hormonal acne combined with oily skin usually means androgens are driving sebum production, so the most targeted approach beyond topical products is looking into ingredients like zinc and spearmint that work on that hormonal pathway, and for the oiliness itself niacinamide at around 5 to 10% used consistently over a few weeks genuinely does regulate sebum production rather than just mattifying temporarily the way most oil control products do.

That tracks actually because a lot of the glow recipe lineup leans heavily on humectants and fruit extracts that work really well for dry or dehydrated skin but can feel like too much for already oily skin, so for oily and acne prone skin you'd generally do better with a toner that has BHA like salicylic acid in it since it gets into the pore lining and helps with both congestion and oil control at the same time.

One thing worth knowing before you go all in on oil free everything is that oily skin often still needs a lightweight moisturizer because skipping it can actually signal your skin to produce even more oil to compensate, so the goal is really balancing sebum rather than stripping it, and ingredients like niacinamide and zinc have decent evidence behind them for actually regulating oil production over time rather than just mattifying temporarily.

The Murad clarifying serum has been helpful with clearing up breakouts on my cheeks. But keep in mind there are different types of acne breakouts and causes. You need to identify the types of breakouts to help determine the best course of action.
