Hey girl!I have sensitive, acne prone skin and centella asiatica (sometimes called "cica") is my ride or die. It has anti-inflammatory & wound healing properties, which is SUPER beneficial for acne. Additionally, it's very soothing & really helps to support the your skin barrier—I find that super important when using any strong active, such as Clindamycin. It has helped me a lot with tretinoin's side effects ❤️It doesn't appear that much in Western products, but centalla asiatica is a really popular ingredient in K-Beauty. There are a lot of different serums that contain it. My absolute FAVOURITE centella serum was the PURITO Centella Unscented Serum; they recently reformulated and I haven't gotten my hands on the new product yet. It's now called "Purito SEOUL Wonder Releaf Centella Serum Unscented." I also loved the matching moisteriser. It's their Centella Unscented Recovery Cream (now named "Purito SEOUL - Wonder Releaf Centella Cream Unscented"). I've also heard great things about the SKIN 1004 Madagascar Centella Asiatica 100 Ampoule. I prefer Purito's serum because it also contains niacinimide, peptides, and ceramides—those are all super helpful in maintaining a strong skin barrier. However, if you just want pure centella, SKIN 1004 is really good. Both products should be non-comedogenic. SKIN 1004 explicitly states that they've conducted clinical trials to confirm this, but I'm not too sure about Purito. However, their product description mentions that it was Dermatologist Tested, completed the HPRIT test (which is to see if it's hypoallergenic), and completed the Sensitive Skin Suitability test. All of these tests were conducted by the Korea Institute of Dermatological Sciences. Hopefully I'm not overwhelming you with information, lol—I'm just passionate about my obsession with this stuff. If you want, I can give you updates once I get the updated serum in the mail! P.S.—if you see this within the next 2 days, it should still be on sale on Yesstyle. There's a mother's day sale right now and everything is about 20% off I believe. Yesstyle shipping can be really long but it's much cheaper than buying it at most in-person locations here in Toronto. Good luck! ❤️

I have a "one foot in, one foot out" perspective on supplements. I do think they are beneficial, but I feel like either you should talk it out with a healthcare professional, or review the research and see if you can find a consensus amongst your PCP or med team. My reasoning is simple, supplements aren't really regulated and can get quite costly if you're not really sure what to use, how much to use and why to use. That being said, if you have specific needs and issues you've already identified and have discussed with someone and even had labs drawn, then go for it. There's even something to be said about a placebo effect that supplements have. I currently use:MVI (pre-natal multivitamin)Sourse Mood Bites – Vegan Saffron and Vitamin D3 Infused Chocolate Supplements for Positive Mood 30 / bites Collagen PeptidesSlow Mag (The Slow Mag is probably the one I am least consistent with) The MVI is just my general one, and I have noticed that when I stop taking it, my nails aren't quite as strong. It doesn't have any special add ins like some prenatals do (no DHA for example), so I think it's just the added folic acid and B-complex in it. I used to use biotin and didn't see much a difference. The Collagen, most people use if for skin (there's strong research there thanks to COVID), but I use it for joint health starting about a year ago as sort of an "insurance" after a work out to reduce tears. I gave it to hubbs to, and placebo or not, we both noticed less strain after working out. The mood bites. It's chocolate. It has a teensy amount of vitamin D, and I usually run low, so win win here. The Slow Mag. I use it to relax, and I got slow mag just because magnesium oxide can run a bit of GI distress.

Yes, I wish more people realized that Influenster does not care if your review is not positive! I actually like Influenster better than a lot of other companies because it’s a third-party which means I can trash a company and I’m still going to get products because they have no idea if it’s going to be coming to me again or not. A perfect example is when I got an Estée Lauder product and I left a terrible low star rating because the ingredients were horrible for your skin and Estée Lauder was arguing with people on their reviews saying their breakouts and reactions were “unusual”. So in my review I pointed out every single ingredient that is comedogenic and would be the cause for these other reviewers having issues so it’s not unusual and shouldn’t be marketed to acne prone people. Estée Lauder tried to fight me on the review and didn’t want to post it but they eventually had to. A couple months later influenster sent me something else from Estée Lauder once again and again I left a negative review lol. So it’s not the companies that are getting to choose us which means there’s 0 benefit if we lie in our reviews. I regularly leave honest reviews from Influenster good and bad. I wish people didn’t dismiss all reviews from someone who got to test something because a lot of the time you can tell those of us who are being honest and those who aren’t. All of my reviews are very detailed and I provide as much information as I possibly can especially because I am pretty educated in ingredients in beauty products and I like to share that with people. The reality is plenty of people are actually getting paid outside of Influenster to leave positive reviews and those people are the problem. I think Influenster reviews should be treated just like every other review, if they’re leaving short one or two sentences that don’t really tell you anything then don’t trust them. If the review is thorough and it’s pointing out positives and negatives whether it’s free or not I would trust it more than the review that gives you very little information even if they didn’t get the product for free.
