Beauty Supplements: Actually helpful or just hype? ‌‌‌

Hi there! For those who have taken (or are taking) beauty supplements, do you find them to be actually helpful or just hype? 🤔

There are a lot of over-the-counter beauty supplements and products. They're not one size fits all, and many  recommend consulting with a healthcare practitioner before taking them.

Whether it be capsules, gummies, liquids or powders, for your hair, skin or nails, would love to hear about beauty supplements you're taking or have taken, and if you've noticed any results, positive or negative.

Getting better quality sleep (both falling and staying asleep) and getting it consistently has been something I've been working on for a while now. I had an opportunity to try out Sephora's auto-replenish program (thank you @TeamBIC!) and decided to test it out with a few different beauty products, including these Sourse Dream Bites – Vegan Magnesium Infused Chocolate Supplements for Beauty Sleep 30 / bites. Better sleep and chocolate? Seems a little too good to be true, but I decided to give them a try - again. I tried a bag of these when they first launched at Sephora, but was not consistent in taking them at all and hope to change that this time around.

I'll be tracking (or trying to regularly track) what results, if any, I'm seeing over the next few months with these Sourse chocolates, and will post updates here. In the meantime, I've been trying a few different approaches to incorporating these into my evening routine and will post that to the Habit Stacking Thread 📚 once I come up with an arrangement that works well for me.

@itsfi What a neat thread idea! I think sleep is such an important part of our self care. I think with the chocolates I might have a hard time limiting myself 😅

Thank you @Mellmars1185! I'm looking forward to hearing folks' take on supplements. I've only really started looking into them with more deliberateness in the last few years.  Hoping these chocolates 🍫 may help; the brand has a version with melatonin but this one doesn't have that ingredient, which is how I wanted it. I've heard good things about magnesium and when I do incorporate bananas into my everyday diet, as mentioned by you and @heartsmyface, it seems to have helped with making my sleep process better. We'll see how these Sourse chocolates fare but I completely get it - just 2. 😂 An exercise in restraint, for sure. lol
