@sister13 My eyes are angry angry..I think I have allergies🤧😔, so the focus was more lips and skin today. Instead of setting with setting spray and powder, I just used spray and let the foundation and Fenty moisturizer do it's thing.. We will see if that was wise for today, 🤣 Lip is Urban Decay Vice Lip Chemistry Lip Stain - Wired Collection Gravity Technique: No setting powder all over, just a yellow powder for brightening and nasal folds Highlighter on the eyes, cheeks and cupids bow with fluffy brushes

Hello @MBeauty55 ! My “holy grail recommendation” is to see a dermatologist (if you can) for skin diagnosis and personalized treatment options. Aside from that, the usual blackhead treatments are: Retinoid - this vitamin A family includes tretinoin (available only by prescription in the US), adapalene, retinaldehyde, and retinol. Of those 4, the first 2 are FDA approved for acne treatment. Adapalene’s available OTC in the US as Differin Gel, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Adapalene Gel, and a few other brands. You’ll find Differin and LRP at your local drug store or Target. Be sure to start slooowly with adapalene: use it just 1-2 times a week (never twice on the same day) for a while, then increase to 2-3 times a week, and keep gradually increasing frequency like that. Retinoids in general can be very irritating, so you don’t wanna start off using it daily. You might notice lots of new acne pop up during the first month of use; that’s probably “purging,” as retinoids speed up your skin cell turnover cycle; think of it as adapalene evicting crud from your pores. Make sure you have a good moisturizer on hand, because adapalene can also be drying. Salicylic acid (BHA) - gets down into your pores to degunk ‘em. If you’ve already tried 2% salicylic acid (not “willow bark extract” which won’t do the same thing as SA), it might just need an acne-fighting partner (like adapalene and/or the next ingredient I’ll list). SA’s a reliable go-to for several types of acne. Benzoyl peroxide - if your skin will tolerate it, this can be very helpful for blackheads. I recommend trying it in cleanser form: at your drugstore/Target, look for PanOxyl 4% Acne Wash. (Also comes in 10% strength but you might not need that.) Or consider The INKEY List SuperSolutions 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser Acne Solution 5 oz / 150 mL (another cleanser). You can wash with either of those once a day—maybe start off using it just a couple days a week at first—and then apply BHA. If you want to try all three of those, consider using adapalene at night and the other two (benzoyl peroxide and BHA) in the morning. That’s a good way to reduce irritation. You might also wanna pick one (I’d start with adapalene), use it for a while, then introduce a second one (I’d probably pick salicylic acid) and use it alongside adapalene for a while, and finally add the third to the party. You mentioned having tried masks, so I didn’t mention clay masks. But that’s another option to consider. Definitely don’t use pore strips: they do nothing for blackheads. If strips pull up gunk from your nose, those aren’t blackheads, they’re sebaceous filaments—and you can’t permanently remove those because they’re a natural function of human skin (they bring sebum up onto the skin surface). If that’s what you have instead of true blackheads, then ignore my 1st and 3rd bullets up there and just stick with BHA. 😉

Habit Stacking Check-In #2 - I've fallen off most of my habit stacking practices and am in need of a reset or possibly, a change to what or how I'm going about the various habits. HABIT STACK #1 - Reading for leisureHabits-To-Be-Stacked-In-A-Nutshell - Get in some reading time (with books or audio books) while waiting for dinner to finish cooking; 2-3 times per weekHow's It Going? Both habits - reading for leisure and cooking dinner - are still taking place, just not at the same time. Lol. Right now, I'm combining or stacking other habits when it comes what else I'm stacking each habit with. For instance, this habit pairing has been combined with either (a) breaking for lunch instead of working through it and reading for leisure during my lunch; and (b) getting ready for the next day (e.g., reviewing my calendar and to do list for the next day) while waiting for dinner to finish cooking).Next Step(s), if any - I feel like the changes to how this habit stack was originally intended to look like is fine. It's now morphed into two different habit stacking practices and both (a) and (b) involve good habits to be practicing HABIT STACK #2 - Scalp Care Habits-To-Be-Stacked-In-A-Nutshell - scalp care followed by workout followed by skin and body care, followed by mapping out weekly wardrobe and meal prep for the week, once per weekHow's It Going? It was going fairly well until I hit a roadblock with each habit; lol. I've tried a couple different pre-wash hair oils and they don't seem to be compatible with my hair so it's no longer part of my hair / scalp care routineNext Step(s), if any - None for scalp care - I have other scalp care routines, but won't be including a habit stack with it. Instead, there will be a new Habit Stack #2 (see below) HABIT STACK #3 - Digital Detox & Self Care (to unwind, destress, and sleep better)Habits-To-Be-Stacked-In-A-Nutshell - 2-3 nights per week, move phone away from nightstand; and add restorative yoga by candlelight, followed by laying out clothes for the next day, and doing foot, hand and cuticle care before bedtimeHow's It Going? The various habits are taking place just not stacked with each other. My phone is away from my nightstand and usually outside my bedroom every day now, so that's been a successful outcome. I need to be better about being more consistent with the restorative yoga.Next Step(s), if any - Setting the nights on which this habit stack takes place and aiming to stick to it - Tuesday and Thursday evenings is the new schedule for the following habit stack - an hour before my target bedtime, go dark on electronics (no texting, emailing, being on the internet, etc.), 20-30 minutes restorative yoga by candlelight followed by having a Sourse dream chocolate, followed by oral hygiene care, then 10-20+ minutes of quiet time / journaling time, and then bedtime. (NEW) HABIT STACK #2 - Water intake & skincare routineCurrent habit - skincare routine morning and eveningNew habit - drinking 8 oz water in some form while going through skincare routineAM: wash face and sip through 8 oz water during skincare and makeup routinePM: Sip through 8oz of water during skincare routineGoal - Every day, 2x per day. My water intake hasn't been as good as it was so this'll get in 16 oz., with 8 of them being a kickstart to the day. We shall see how these habit stacks shape up. I'll aim to check back in after about a month. @Mellmars1185
