Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

@khott1101 Yes!
And for quick reference here are screenshots of a recap of what was offered last year for a guess at what types of gwps we might see this month. (Images from usgwpdotcom, I love that she posts these recaps for the coming month at the end of each month.)
Thank you!! You all are the best!
Here's last week's 22pc $80 gwp.
It was as described, no subs. Lots of tiny tiny samples. Hair care heavy, almost no makeup.
Bag is a jelly texture in a color that is more seafoam than mint, but it leans blue in the picture.
I am so excited about the purse-size ultra mini MAC fix+ spray that I'll probably lose in 2 seconds, and I love the bag.
This bag is totally giving me 1950s vintage tiled bathroom vibes.
$80 though? Well I guess those are some pricy tiny skincare samples. At least there are some decent sized hair goodies.
Spring Haul is up!
Mostly drugstore, as usual, with a slight dash of prestige thrown in (50% off Nest bath/body stood out on my quick scroll through!)
Now through the 17th!
No luck on the potential affiliate gwp yet though...hopefully soon!
We've got a new brand tonight as well: Camille Rose!
And a new app exclusive deal
(A tempting one at that...if you are looking for vitamin c, I highly recommend theirs!)
I got embarrassingly carried away with the Exuviance offer... no regrets 🙈
I came close to picking up some more vitamin c, but I've still got a jar and a half that are over/around a year old now, so I figured I didn't need to stock up on something so volatile, no matter how much more stable their formula is. I'm not really looking to swap out anything else in my routine right now either, so I passed on this completely. What all did you grab?
@RGbrownDuring 21 Days I got one of the half-off AP peels, and decided to spring for the mud mask at full price... I actually needed one, plus that got me to the minimum for both the GWP and the giant beauty bag so hey whatever good times right?
Then when it showed up and I tried the mask, a beam of light came out of the heavens and I heard a chorus of angels like some kind of bad tv show. ✨
So on Friday I may have ordered 3 more. And the oxygen facial, since so many of the mask reviewers said they like to pair that up with it... and if I'm going to throw $ at something faddish like that, I may as well be more serious and try the super retinol... ooh, people say their eye masks will stay in place even if you're not laying down? I could keep those at my desk...so you see what happened 😅
I don't really have any interest in their daily regimen stuff, but now I very suddenly have every treatment of theirs I've ever been curious about 🙊
Chorus of angels 🤣🤣🤣
I totally understand though! I really really like their mud mask. I'm not sure if I $45 love it (because I am cheap at heart), but it definitely falls in the "hoard every sample I can get my hands on" territory.
I have tried their retinol and wasn't super impressed...I feel like I get better results from the Urban Skin Rx one I'm using now. I'm also confused by the percentage...the Ulta description says 0.2%, but in the Q&A section, Exuviance keeps insisting it's really 1%, so I dunno what's what there.
I don't think I've tried much else from the brand other than one of their toners (the alcohol-free one with PHA)...if it had been included in the sale, I probably would have picked up a couple more, despite the fact that I already have a backup to my bottle that's in use. It's good!
Just got the email with this year's diamond gifts.🤔 Whats up with those travel sizes? And wasn't clinique foundation a choice last year, although I think I remember more options?
Ulta's getting so stingy. I don't think there is anything exciting here especially since we are seeing very similar if not downgraded gifts from the previous 2 years.
Where has all the glamour gone? This feels like the sweatpants version of the diamond gift.
Diamond is looking less and less sparkly recently.
What were the diamond gifts the first year when they were random surprises? I got an Lipstick Queen lipstick in "Ice Queen" which is a frosty blue/pink shade. I didn't even open it I was so aghast from what I saw online. LOL.
I think have a random surprise is probably more fun than having an option out of ho hum options. But who knows, maybe someone out there is really excited about the clinique foundation?
@itscarin I remember the Diamond gifts that first year even got worse as the year went on. There were FS of Clinique Eye Treatment, Laura Geller highlighter toward the beginning of the year. Then the gifts turned into DS Porefessional, Clinique mascara. I got DS of the Smashbox primer & NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment.
@itscarin I got a full sized Smashbox primer the first year in the surprise box.
My favorite was when they had the living proof full sized dry shampoo choice.
But then again the monthly perks were pretty bomb in year 1 and 2, a lot of $$$ items and prestige brands.
I think the status perks upgrade was what made me focus my beauty shopping mostly towards Ulta, that and being able to earn lots of points.
The gwps on perks day seem to be getting smaller lately, deluxe samples mostly and the drugstore diamond perks aren't what they were.
I mean hempz lotion ($9-17) vs full size Dermalogica Sleep Cocoon ($80), just saying.
Rakuten just sent this in an email.
As far as I can tell it doesn't exist and I don't recognize this bag as anything we've seen recently. Do you?
So is this a leak of something coming (not terribly exciting to me personally) or is Rakuten dwelling in a parallel universe???
Curiosity has caught this cat.
$80 is a high bar for mostly foil packets, but inquiring minds and such.
The Ulta reddit says the Spring Haul sale starts tomorrow so I wonder if it's going to be an offer for that, @alexalicious.
Ok, I went down your rabbithole, and have a theory 😆
I found these two listings on rakuten just now
Both lead to a 404 error page, sadly, but the 22pc/$80 bag was a real gwp...it was the one from last week, supposed to be available through the 9th as listed, but went NLA on Sunday. Rakuten just hasn't pulled it from their site yet.
I'm thinking maybe Rakuten mixed up pics in your email though? That pic has 23 pieces instead, so perhaps it's the mystery $35 bag they have listed but isn't working. Maybe it'll be available soon? Maybe it's an affiliate bag that we all completely missed somehow? No clue, but it might be something to watch for over the next few days.
I read on Reddit that Spring Haul starts tomorrow, so perhaps we'll have that $35 gwp to go with it!
@RGbrown @quspork totally makes sense and I think you nailed it with the theory it's a $35 gwp or affiliate bag because that's what it looks like. That's pretty cool if we just got an early sneaky peaky. Or if it's affiliate maybe it's visible on Mr. Rebates like last time (I don't have Mr Rebates).
Thanks for all your sleuthing!!!
That 22pc $80 mint bag that went OOS on Saturday looked promising, let's hope it lives up to it's photos and description. 🤞
ooohhh Mr. Rebates!
Anyone use this?
I think we have a match. Good through 4/12
Looks like 23 items unless I can't count.
Is the Mr R link taking you to a valid page? I just get a 404 error with it as well, same as rakuten.
I use them pretty extensively; outside of Rakuten having one of their larger offers, Mr R tends to have a higher % for most of the places I shop.
@RGbrown I don't have a Mr. Rebates account so I wasn't able to click the link. Sorry, I hadn't realized you already tried. Thanks for the heads up.
Dang it, well maybe we'll see some action with it tomorrow?
Not like I need to buy anything anyway. 😆
Dear Ulta,
I would like to shop at your establishment and only pay 80% of the retail price for each item. Could you possibly make my dreams come true...?
Hopefully,
Juicytulip
