Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

@alexalicious I think the clearance pricing is upfront on these. It's all a matter of perspective but you get 20% off the $49 price tag, so that's costing you $40; and then you're getting 500 points which is 1/4 of 2000 points, aka $125, so it's like you're getting $30 back.
By that very convoluted logic, it's like you're only pay $10 for the palette. D4mn it. I think I just talked myself into buying it, even though I really don't need/want it. Oooh, maybe I'll gift it to a friend! I have just the person in mind! 😄

I'm betting Elements goes half off, perhaps even before Xmas. The usual cycle for their LE palettes is around 2 months at full price, then 30%, then 50%. I'm holding out for it 😁
what the hell??!! you guys got more than 1 code??!! I placed my order yesterday using my code, and this morning I get an email saying 'you can still use 20% off'....I try using it, it's the SAME code I already used, and it says the code has already been used in checkout....why do some people get multiples, and some only 1, then some none at all.....Ulta is stupid in that sense.
I used my postcard one last week and my email code yesterday. I got the new email code today.
Hi @heath64. For a cutoff reference, I used my code on Sat the 20th in the store. Maybe the trick is to use it by the end of the 1st week and youre more likely to get a 2nd one for the next week. I hope you get it 2x next time. ❤️

It takes a few days for Ulta to update their list of who has used their code and gets a new one. I don't know exactly what the cutoff is, but using yours yesterday was too late to get on that list. I know I used mine last week for the Hempz Beauty Break and got a new one today. Using it early is key if you want a shot at getting a second one.
I have 2 codes that I won't be using. Hope someone will need them 🙂

Alright..listen. You all will understand my heartbreak. I've been perfecting my cart for weeks for the 20% sale. WEEKS. I was gonna pull the trigger on the cart today for the beauty break, as well as cash in 4,000 (!!) points. I have a $15 gift card as well I've been sitting on. My order was all lined up to submit and it was going to be $0.03 out of pocket. Perfection!
When cashing out, I had the wrong security code for my credit card so the order didn't go through...but my points were all deducted anyways. 4,000 points just disappeared. I feel confident customer service will correct it...eventually. But I'll miss out on today's awesome beauty break that I've been waiting for for a while.
*sigh* I know I'm PMS-y cause I'm stupidly in tears over this. This is not cry-worthy...but thank you hormones.

Same happened to me about a month ago. I called them and they loaned me the points right away then deducted the extra points two weeks later.
I'm sorry, @juicytulip! It's always disappointing when you're all geared up for something and then it doesn't end up happening the way you had hoped. While you may be missing out on the Becca BB, I know customer service will get those points back to you and there were will definitely be more 20% off sales coming up for the holidays, so hopefully there will be an even better GWP for you then!
Ohhh, you poor thing! (hug) I totally feel you... I've been in tears over failed or missed orders before and of course, can't vent to anyone who isn't a beauty fan, lest I risk ridicule (though hubby will feign sympathy.) Especially over a cart you've been preparing for weeks... maybe call and explain your situation? CS is a hit and miss but sometimes you'll get someone really cool.
