Foil Challenge

I know we all talked about this but I need it in writing to hold myself more accountable! I have picked out around 28 foils that I am hoping to get through by the end of Feb. that’s 1 foil a day unless I decide to stack more than one! Here’s what I’ve picked randomly!

@itsfi  I was very underwhelmed by the AP. I don’t think it added much. I have many other serums that I like more including Glaze! And I wouldn’t purchase it. It also had a strong perfume smell. I have a bunch of break outs now too. So hard to say who caused them. I can’t pinpoint anything but it’s my number 1 suspect 🔍🕵🏻 I have tried other AP products before and remember loving them. I also noticed it’s not on Sephora. I wonder if they didn’t do well so they pulled out?

Was that One Size a primer trial? I'm trying to read it but I can't make it out properly 🧐

@CynthieLu  It’s ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Secure the Blur Makeup Magnet Primer 1.18 oz / 35 mL  I really enjoyed it. I haven’t tried a ton of one size and it made me want to try more. But right now I’m on a no spending until the spring sale and I want to use up everything I have!

@ather Great progress. I find it is so helpful to put them where you will use them. Today, i put a men's shower gel in the shower and told my son to use it 😅

@ather I think you could be right. Mine used to talk a lot when he was that age! That is too cute. Sounds like he has a lot of energy when he wakes up 💚

I didn’t take a picture because my night went very poorly. But I did check my progress and I am at 10 foils as of now. I think I said I would aim for 28 so I feel like I might be doing ok but I have been slipping so far. This month has been just nuts for me. But I am going to try to do better from tonight forward!! Happy using up foils everyone!

This is good progress @ather! I feel like most things, using foils ebbs and flows - some weeks you tear through them at an amazing clip and other weeks 🐆 , it’s a slower progression. 🐢

@itsfi  I agree. I think it also ebb and flows with the months. It’s hard to always find something that always works. I tend to have a bunch of acids or peels and my skin isn’t tolerant to them now. I might try again in the summer and if I still am struggling I’ll find them a new home! I am overall happy doing this challenge I should have gotten through it least 56 if I hit my target which is awesome!

So true @ather! The month and the type of products we have samples of definitely influence how quickly we can go through them. I had a lot of skincare that I already knew worked for my skin or multiples of a particular product so that made it easy to work through them on a daily basis. Or I had a lot of shampoo & conditioner foils - if I use one, I use the other so right there, there’s 2 foils used. Best to listen to your skin. But it is so interesting to see and think about how we pick samples and use them. Good challenge for sure ather! 😊

@itsfi  I just went through all my foils to just see. Minus the acids I have 60 skincare left. And a bag of hair care foils! I know where I need to focus on now!  Although I only wash my hair once weekly. But still nice to see progress!

You are doing fabulously @ather I think if we can't hit our goals is just because life took a different turn this week or day or you know what I mean 😉

You are doing excellent and they will get used in time for sure ❤️ Your progress is there and you are using them up.  😀

@CynthieLu  Thanks for the encouragement! Life has been hectic for me and I don’t know why but reaching for foils seems to just be a bit more than I could do. But I am back on track and strategic placement helps me use them.

@Mellmars1185  It’s just been so crazy busy adding another thing to my tower would make me feel like it would topple. But tonight was my sins last swimming lesson till the fall and my husband got news he will be back in 2 weeks which is way earlier than expected so all good! I had today off and I organized and cleaned my house so I am feeling a lot better! I tend to get more anxious when my house is upside down.
