I received my discovery set last week but it took me until the weekend to try them all.

Rose d'Amalfi was the one I expected to like the most of the 3, based on the notes. I do like it (am wearing it again today) but I find on me it is quite similar to a combo I occasionally wear of Rose Prick + F Fabulous. I had anticipated it to be the one I bought a full bottle of and had preordered one with my SA before I found out the discovery set would be available here. Now that I know how similar it is, I probably won't bother getting a full size. I also don't get much citrus when I wear it, which was a bit disappointing.

Rose de Chine I did not expect to like at all because of the peony but I agree, it is very green and quite beautiful. I like it a lot, although I don't get a ton of rose notes from it. It was the biggest surprise in the set for me and the one I am most likely to order a full bottle of, though I will wear it a few more times first to make sure.

Rose de Russie I thought I would like (and I also agree it is the most like classic TF) but on me it is too peppery and harsh in a way I don't enjoy. I find after a while it gets sort of berry-ish and jammy and reminds me more of rosehips than actual roses. It's a shame because I love leather and woods and the bottle with that deep magenta liquid is gorgeous, but what can you do.

I should also note that I lost much of my sense of smell in late November and I've only just started being able to smell things again (for a long while everything I smelled all seemed like a weird sort of bleach-y scent) so I'm not sure if how I'm interpreting the fragrances is entirely accurate yet or not 😄

@blackkitty2014 will do. I’m going to try smoky quartz today but at the moment my fave is also Rose Topaz 

I like the colours of Smoky Quartz best out of the 3 but matte is generally not my favourite finish (especially all matte) so I don’t think SQ will be my fave quad.

@blackkitty2014 🤣 while I prefer the lip color formula over the lip color matte, you know this is just my kind of shade 🤣

my lips are in terrible condition right now (thanks winter) but I think under better circumstances it would look even nicer 😉

I like the colours but the formula felt a little strange when I was swatching it. I don't know how to describe it; it was so dense but not in a creamy way. I'm really curious how it will translate onto the eyes.
