Yes, they are the same.  Now that I've swatched Showgirl, am I keeping her?  Yes I am.  I can't tell you how much I love this colour.

Not that we need anymore encouragement than is already on this thread, but Neiman Marcus has a current promotion where you get a gift card sometime in the next 8 weeks for 1-300 $ depending on the amount spent. Now the card is valid 2 months after that. I just bought a bunch a Christmas presents and 2 sets of the old lips and boys trio they have on pre order (Patrick, Flynn and Luciano) - one for gifting, one for me (how could I resist - I have 12 boys but none of those ones!) and also so Vain (since it sounds like it's LE)
Now I figure it's possible the card redemption will overlap with the new boys release. If not I think I'll manage to spend the card on the current assortment of new full sizes (plus I may have lost Adriano at a restaurant yesterday so might need to buy true coral to soothe my broken heart!).

Ok, I know that fragrances have come up, and been buried again. Anyone else had the chance to try Italian Bergamot and/or Amber Absolute? I took home samples of both a few days ago when I was buying my mom's birthday present (Velvet Violet) and So Vain (for me). I haven't yet made it past Amber Absolute! 

My actual first Tom Ford purchase ever was Rive d'Ambre, and after initially loving it in store - I was so disappointed at home, so I ended up hawking it on eBay for a loss (after hesitating for too long about it). I think Amber Absolute is everything I had hoped Rive d'Ambre would be! It does kind of start with that more boozy scent, but fades nicely with some sweeter notes coming through. It still retains some kind of that booziness though...it keeps it unisex, and I find it superr sexy. I've also tried about 10 different fragrances in the past couple of weeks, and this is decidedly my bf's favorite (works out that it is mine too).

Hi lbelulles! I'm hooked by AMber Absolute!  Here's what I wrote earlier this week after getting samples last week!  I need to call and see if they got it in!

Here's what I Posted last week: "I saw some discussion of the fragrances below, here's a quick update on the two new Tom Ford ones coming out. I'm terrible at describing fragrances, but here's a shot!

I went to try the new fragrances - Venetian Bergamot and Amber Absolute this weekend. Venetian Bergamot I liked instantly. I thought it would be more citrus-y, but it's actually got quite a bit of vanilla and more warmth than I expected after drydown, while still having a fresh quality to it. Good staying power, I got at least 4-5 hours out of this. My SA says Venetian Bergamot will be part of the regular collection. Nordstrom and NM both had this in.

Amber Absolute at first spray is very powerful, quite boozy, and I was thinking - um, maybe not on that one. Fast forward to an hour later, and I kept catching whiffs of it, and couldn't stop smelling such a beautiful warm amber, vanilla, earthy-foody-boozy warmth. Great staying power - at least 6-7 hours and probably more but then I showered. Anyway, the SA said this is a re-release, they will be getting limited quantities and then it will be gone again. I'm wearing my sample again today and I'm pretty sure this is a must have for me, so I'm going to call and ask them to hold one for me of the 1 oz. NM had VB and AA testers, but no live product for AA yet, but they expect it this week. It's showing OOS on NM, and not on Nordstrom online at all. It's up on TF website, though.

There is a Killian Amber Oud that I have been holding out for, but since this TF is limited, I think I will get this now. If you like warm, boozy, amber fragrances, definitely try it out if you can!"

I have also tried Killian (Crystal something or other) and really liked it. Funny enough, a Tom Ford SA recommended it for my boyfriend, but I ended up really liking it for myself!

Yes! I saw your post - I may have even commented on it! It has just been buried by all of the lipstick excitement!

Amber Absolute on the first day became a must have. It is a re-release, and once he sells through, it will be gone and they will be re-releasing a new one. I heard the goal was 1 every 6 months.

I apparently felt really good about the fact that I didn't feel the "need" to get any of the new lippies (other than So Vain, which is also LE), and put myself down for a decanter of Amber Absolute. But, they told me they had already sold through half of their decanters! So apparently, the official release date is September 14th. Supposedly some store in the UK has the exclusive until then.

Curious what others will say when they get theirs. Here's Sweet Mystery. It's not the same as Peter. SM is darker.  I think the Boys are slightly different swatched than Fall collection. SM is on top left side.

Missy, you are the second person to say that the L&B and the full size might look the same, but swatch differently.
