Agreed. I’m not mad at the kids. I’m mad at the parents who are letting the kids make wrong choices that will actually impact them negatively. I stopped going into Sephora and Ulta. I like to shop in peace. It seems a small percentage of parents decided the best way for them to shop is to use stores as daycares. When I was a teen, I had fun picking out makeup with my mom. She taught me what was age appropriate. These kids are going to end up with all kinds of skin issues and potentially infections from the samples. I feel the parents are also robbing themselves of a bonding and teaching experience.

Is there really a product that will stay on my tightline? Using Urban Decay 24/7 waterproof. As soon as I apply it -- which, as you know, isn't easy -- it has dissovled. What do I use to make it stay? Or is it a mug's game and nothing really works? (Google search: Best for Tightlining: Laura Mercier Caviar Tightline Eyeliner) Anyone experience?

I finally discovered why even the strongest waterprood mascara ends up smudging underneath my eyes: oily lashes! I was driving myself crazy running from mascara to mascara. Then, I learned about tubing mascara. Is this something I can use in harmony with waterproof? I read that tubing is not very curling. Mine are pretty curled on their own. But if I put on a tubing masc and then add waterproof over it ... will that be helpful? Or does that make no sense? Love Too Faced Better Than Sex and Benefit Fan Fare. Broke my heart when I had dark pools of mascara underneath my eyes. Tubing: e.l.f.Lash EXTNDR (user reviews kind of rough .. hard to use for some reason), Tarte tartlette, L'oreal Double Extend Beauty. Any rex? Cannot wait to get my mascara to STAY. Thanks.

I'm used to allergies, I got my first allergy test when I was like 6, but I'm basically allergic to outside and as I've gotten older it's gotten worse. Now I have cross-protein and cross-pollen reactions too, so I can be allergic to things I'm not actually allergic to on top of all the other stuff I have to avoid.Among the generally common ingredients in skin and hair products that I can't use or ingest are:-grapes-bananas-chamomile-blueberries-peaches-oranges-anything even related to an aster-anything even related to amaranth and tarragon-onion-anything derived from hemp-anything close to hops-basically any tree (palms and willows are debatably safe, frankincense and myrrh are not)-basically any grass or weed-anything even close to mint (up to and potentially including lavender)-a good chunk of the carnation family-aloe. literally just aloe, I can't use the soothing cactus juice because it gives me hives-anything that comes from a plant that could be classified into a family of plants known as soapberries (lychee pending, I've only had it in mochi)-we can lump all the heathers in with the trees, they hang around oak too much-olives-mango-chickweed-and jasmineThat's what I've found since my most recent allergy test a little over a month ago. And all this started because I have a latex allergy and I made an off-handed comment about how I must've been eating my bananas too quickly because the pieces were always really hard to swallow. Had no idea that was anaphylaxis. And my current body wash probably has something in it making my skin all bumpy because I've had them since high school, but everything else I've tried has made it even worse. At this point I'll try almost anything.

I was kind of a weird case because I was wearing a full face in elementary school semi-regularly. I was in dance and cheer at a young age and bright stage lights + extremely pale skin = a need for relatively heavy, dramatic makeup. Because I had sensory issues, my mom and I would practice with it every so often just to keep me used to it. I didn't start having my own actual makeup outside those kid makeup sets until I was in high school, I think, and I've never worn all that much anyway outside of when I'm putting on a costume or something like it, sort of like putting on a mask to make taking on the character even easier, but she'd do my makeup for me for dance recitals or even just because I asked on a weekend, a birthday, during school breaks, etc. all the way up through middle school. She's even helped me dye my hair almost every time I've done it since I started toward the end of middle school.I think makeup and stuff not being banned for me but just there if I wanted to use it let me decide that it wasn't really ever my thing most of the time. I like what I can create with it and that I can turn myself into a whole new person with it if I want to, but it's not really something I want to put effort into doing everyday and the feeling of mascara is gross, anyway, so why would I want to?Peer pressure could always be a factor for any kid at any age, but if they experiment with it and realize they don't like it before they're totally pulled into the idea that they absolutely need it by their friends and by ads and everything, I would think it would be harder to pressure them. Kids want to fit in, sure, but they're also stubborn as rocks.

I used to be obsessed with the Pacifica coconut dissolve cleaning oil for removing makeup. So much so that I’d stock up in the states and didn’t realize it’s been expired for a bit. I’ve been trying for a while to find a replacement I love and am still not happy. If anyone has ideas I’d be so grateful! Specifically looking for: -I’m lazy- I loved this product because I felt like you could put it on in the shower without the need for a cotton pad. So not looking for like a micellar water-product that removes waterproof mascara well -likely oil based/ my skin is drier so can handle it. thanks so much for any recs!!
