Monthly Favorites: December 2022

Would you look at that, BIC? 2022 has come and gone faster than a tube of your favorite mascara! I’ve been lucky enough to discover quite a few new faves over the course of the year across allllll the product categories, but my December beauty routine has been dedicated to achieving healthy, shiny hair and a smooth complexion with some added warmth to beat this winter dullness. Just add some sequins and I’m ready to ring in the new year!

@ather  I had heard it was a pretty close dupe to Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi™ Bronzing Drops with Peptides . It’s not as pigmented as the DE but it is close. I think it would definitely work for you.

You use the JVN Complete Blowout Styling Milk 3 oz / 90 mL to @faeriegirl ?! Gosh I have got to try it! I’m late to the party it seems!

@bakeamuffin  So far it has been great! I’m not a fan of the JVN shampoo/ conditioner but the styling products are really good!

@faeriegirl I'm for sure going to have to add that Ellis Brooklyn SALT Eau de Parfum Travel Spray 0.34 oz/ 10 mL on my list to try out.  LOVE a good beach scent!! Glad to see you found a winner in the Holiday Gratis set as well!

This month (and entire year!) have flown by so quickly. @AlexBT I've been focusing on my hair and skin too this month, especially because the weather has been especially dry!

my go-to's in December include

• JVN Complete Blowout Styling Milk 3 oz / 90 mL - I am 100% sold on this product and how bouncy and soft my hair is when using this
• BondiBoost Intensive Daily Scalp Spray for Thinning Hair ​with Rosemary 4.23 oz/ 125 mL - the volume i get with this is crazy, and it doesnt leave any greasy residue, so no wash necessary the next morning!
• First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA - absolute saviour for my dry winter skin
• Sol de Janeiro Bom Dia Bright™ Visibly Brightening and Smoothing Body Cream with Vitamin C 8.1 oz / ... - i kept seeing this recommended, and finally picked some up to try after seeing it in @GeorginaBT November faves. not only is the smell incredible, but the hydration!
• Keys Soulcare Let Me Glow Illuminating Serum with Niacinamide 1.01 oz/ 30 mL - love this under makeup to brighten up my whole face
• Yves Saint Laurent Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara Noir - cant get enough of this formula!
• Glossier Solar Paint in Flare - fakes a bronzed glow that is absolutely not possible where I live this time of year!

and honorable mention to PAT McGRATH LABS MatteTrance™ Lipstick Elson 2 which is going to be my christmas lippie this year ❤️

@cianni So happy to hear you're liking the SDJ body cream! 😊🙏 Agree the scent is incredible - I picked up a mini version of Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Crush Cheirosa ’40 Bom Dia Hair & Body Fragrance Mist just to layer it with the lotion! 

also yaaaas I love the JVN styling milk too! I've been using a bunch of JVN hair care recently and I notice my hair is feeling cleaner and softer.

@GeorginaBT this was my first product from the JVN line (although i did watch them on TV, so i knew their line would be incredible!). i'm so impressed thus far! what other products have you been liking from the line? there are so many products to try, so i'm trying to keep tabs on BIC recommended products so I know what to try this year 🤔

@cianni JVN is an icon 🤩 I normally don't travel with hair care but had to bring JVN Complete Nourishing Hair Oil Shine Drops 1.7 oz/ 50 mL on a trip with me because I really notice the difference in my hair's shininess when I use it! I also recently transitioned to JVN Nurture Hydrating Shampoo 10 oz/ 295 mL and JVN Nurture Hydrating Conditioner 10 oz/ 295 mL after a recent bout of dandruff and it seems to have gone away after doing so!

@GeorginaBT ooooo good to know it withstands the travel test! my hair is always stressed when i travel, especially when the water types and weather conditions are different than home. here i was thinking i have sensitive skin, meanwhile i have sensitive hair... definitely adding the shine drops to my list!!!

@cianni  Wow, another fan of JVN styling milk.  This is going on my list of must try products! I have not tried many products from Glossier but I have found their Cloud Paints to be very good.  I like the way they apply to my skin and give a light build able color.  Now I need to see their Solar Paint colors😀

@Cissy63 the JVN is really nice, it's one of the few hair products where I notice a big difference when I don't use it! highly recommend 🙂 and the solar paint is exactly like what you described - glowy, lightweight and buildable and blends like a dream!
