Would you look at that, BIC? 2022 has come and gone faster than a tube of your favorite mascara! I’ve been lucky enough to discover quite a few new faves over the course of the year across allllll the product categories, but my December beauty routine has been dedicated to achieving healthy, shiny hair and a smooth complexion with some added warmth to beat this winter dullness. Just add some sequins and I’m ready to ring in the new year!

Loved all of these! My top scent of the year was the ABBOTT Seqouia Eau de Parfum 1.7 oz / 50 mL eau de parfum spray. I live and breathe for the smell! So woody, so fresh.

Taking the opportunity to use my 🎄 as background.  Nothing to do with laziness Of taking it down, oh no, not at all. And the theme.. Of course, is tree dressing.

The garland:

NARS Bronzer Powder Casino with Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Sculpting Bronzer Brush 195 .  This brush picks up the baked formula so well, and the tapered look allows for perfect placement, without leaving me look too red.

Glass ornaments:

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Face Palette Tiger .  I've been playing a lot with the strobing colors, and it's gotten me to dim down my highlight (a bit)

SEPHORA COLLECTION Microsmooth Multi-Tasking Baked Face Palette Captivate  This is a one and done kind of palette.  I can bronze, blush and highlight and also use it as an eyeshadow 

Tinsel:

Ami Colé Hydrating Lip Treatment Oil Excellence - I love the light brown sheen of this.  It's more glossy than oily, but not egregiously stick.

Ami Colé Lash-Amplifying Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara Rich Black  - This definitely adds length.  Also, like the shape of the brush, kind of like a Christmas 🎄😁

Colored ornaments:

GXVE BY GWEN STEFANI Eye See in Color Clean Multidimensional Eyeshadow Palette Rich Girl - This quad is gorgeous.  It looks a little different upon application, but I looked it.  The bronze shade is like a cream/powder hybrid.

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Kind Words Matte Lipstick Strong - I'm still on my brown lip moment and this deep, chocolatey lip is perfect

Maybelline New Nudes Vinyl Ink - I love Charged and Fearless, but I'm December, I was loving fearless a little more.  Plus, blot + Ami Cole, total 90s vibe.

Pine Scent:

TOM FORD Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum Fragrance - I hate that I like this.  It's got a lasting cinnamon now to it

The ⭐✨:

Dyson Special Edition Supersonic™ Hair Dryer Vinca blue and Rosé - best. gift. ever.  I've only used the comb attachment this far, but 🥰

The tree stand:

And fresh Sugar Lip Polish Exfoliator  It's a must in these cold dry northeast times (minus today and tomorrow).

@danielledanielle  It's too much work, I mean, too pretty, to take down. 🙂  Bonus picture of my foot wearing my favorite (but discontinued) nonskid slipper socks by Janska.  Last summer I found these little black specks all around the house, mostly in my bathroom.  I thought we had a bug or rodent infestation, and even called our local ag department.  They couldn't figure it out either.  My son figured out it was the little nonskid particles from the bottom of these socks that fell off as I wore them!

Hahaha, I'm glad your son figured it out and it wasn't bugs.  (This is why I don't mind a fake tree, I'm always worried that a real tree is going to have uninvited guests.)

@danielledanielle  Oh, our tree is fake.  We've had it for 22 years.  Like you said, one too many alive (or dead,) unexpected visitors travel with the real ones, especially if you cut it down yourself at a farm.

22 Favorites in 2022

Okay, I'm going to use this as 2022 Favorites post, not just a December one. (I couldn't find a 2022 faves thread but let me know if I missed one). These are all things I tried, or they had new shades come out, in 2022, except for palettes, which I restricted to ones that came out in 2022 (I believe).

In no particular order: 

1. PAT McGRATH LABS LiquiLUST™: Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick is one of my favorite lip formulas. Two new shades launched this year and they're gorgeous, so I'm including them. 

2. Colorful eye pencils. As a whole. I've tried a few this year and my favorite has been this orange one from Oden's Eye. 

3. Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid is lovely for my dry undereyes and dry skin.

4. Kosas Air Brow Clear + Clean Lifting Treatment Eyebrow Gel with Lamination Effect 0.13 oz/ 4 g . I finally figured this out after struggling it for a while. 

5. Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Illicit Green Eau de Parfum is my fave varietal of Black Opium I've smelled so far. My fave fragrance of the year.

6. Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint . I can't remember if I got this this year or last year, but I definitely used it this year and I've loved using it. 

7. Danessa Myricks Beauty Infinite Chrome Flakes Multichrome Gel for Eyes & Face in Pride. Like. Yes. Corporate Pride has its issues. But also, yes, love rainbow sparkles. The shifts in this one are unreal. An actual full rainbow. 

8. CAY SKIN Isle Glow Face Moisturizer SPF 45 with Sea Moss and Niacinamide 1.5 oz/ 45 mL is the BEST SPF ever. Discovered in my Sephoria box. Ordered two more from direct because Sephora Canada does not carry 😭. 

9. (Not pictured). LANEIGE Hydro UV Defense Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 1.7 oz/ 50 mL . My other favorite sunscreen of the year. Perfect for a dry skin person who doesn't want an oily formula. (*I received one free to test from TopBox, but I would purchase again and had planned on purchasing anyway).

10. K18 Biomimetic Hairscience Leave-In Molecular Repair Mask 1.7 oz/ 50 mL . Thank you thank you thank you, @TeamBIC !! I LOVE this. I didn't think I would like a mask I have to apply post shower, but since it doesn't wash out, I'm here for it. I let my hair towel dry while I apply my skincare and it's the perfect amount of time. My hair has been shinier and stronger since using it. Love. 

11. amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo 7.3 oz/ 322 mL . This is a fabulous dry shampoo, especially as I've been decreasing how often I shampoo weekly. 

12. Kaleidos Cloud Lab Lip Clays. Another Matte lippie formula I love. This one comes in so many interesting shades and neutral undertones. So soft and powdery. A love. 

13. Oden's Eye * Angeschka Hela Palette. A pink and green palette. She's a beauty!! 

14. Clionadh * Emily Violet Marie Dragon Fruit Collection. Oh this shimmer palette is a stunner. And the highlighters are SO beautiful and dimensional. This might be my favorite thing of the year. 

15. Glamlite Frosted Flakes. Such a fun color story with beautiful quality. 

16. Melt Cosmetics Cream Blushlight . I have been using mostly Sandy Cheeks but pulled out Daydreamer to rotate through more of them. This might be my favorite cream blush formula, but barely. Just beautiful. 

17. Oden's Eye Merry Christmas Palette. Beautiful warm color story with impactful shimmers. 

18. Sugar Drizzle Dragonfly Palette. I also just love this color story. It's small but actually pretty varied. Beautiful shimmers again. 

19. GlossGods Gal On The Moon Palette. A beautiful all shimmer palette. So many shifty impactful shimmers. Okay, so I have a palette type. 

20. PMG Bronze Bliss. This was definitely BIC enabled. I think I saw someone's swatches and just the middle shade in this is BEAUTIFUL. 

21. Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand Spotlight . I can't believe I hadn't used this until this year. This is just beautiful. Getting the mini set was definitely a good choice. 

22. (Not pictured). Essences. I finally used essences that I felt made a different. First the fresh Kombucha Antioxidant Facial Treatment Essence and then the belif Hungarian Water Essence 2.53 oz/ 75 mL . I actually felt that these improved my skin and helped the rest of my skincare absorb well.
