Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Hello BIC! Whether having a set of makeup products all picked out in advance makes it easier to get ready in the mornings or if you're looking for a fun way to use the new-to-you and tried-and-true products in your collection, welcome!! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Please feel free to join in as a theme suits your style or piques your interests. We love seeing and being inspired by what beauties everyone is using. ๐Ÿ’‹

Here we are, last month of 2025, and we have a couple more capsules to squeeze in before the year is over. We've been doing weekly capsules but for this last month, we're going to switch to 2-week periods. That said, if you like the weekly format, there are options this month that you can choose to do, to keep up with a rotating weekly capsule.

How does this work?
To add a little bit of fun and creativity to curating a makeup capsule, there will be a weekly theme or prompt on which that week's group of beauty products will touch upon. There's no need to have every single product for the week fit the theme exactly. All you need is one product. And, truth be told, how that product fits into the weekly theme is subject to interpretation. Yours, primarily. So, please feel free to be creative. This is about finding a set of makeup products that work for you and your lifestyle, whether already in your collection or waiting to be discovered (or, in some instances, re-discovered) by you.

How Can / Do I Participate?
There are several ways you can participate - You can post a photo of the products you use or tag and list them, as you like. You can give someone's post a heart and / or ask questions about products in someone's capsule. You can post a different capsule every week or once a month or every once in a while, when a theme grabs your interest or draws your attention.

When and where are/will the weekly themes posted?
The themes are (or will be) included in the original post - under the section titled "Current Makeup Capsule Theme" or "Upcoming Makeup Capsule Theme". Occasionally, I will post a link to a separate post with the monthly themes.

โ–ถ๏ธ  CURRENT MAKEUP CAPSULE THEME  [Updated 12.14.2025]
Switching things up a bit with the cadence for our capsules as we head towards closing out 2025 with the makeup capsule challenge. For the last month of the year, we are going to go with 2-week capsule periods.

โ˜ƒ๏ธWeeks 51 - 52 (December 15 - 31) - The "Holiday Glitz & Glam" Makeup Capsule and/or The "Best of 2025" Makeup Capsule

Put together a capsule consisting of one or more makeup product(s) that aligns with one or the other (or both) of the themes -

  • ๐ŸŒŸHoliday Glitz & Glam: Shine a spotlight on one or more of the beauties you love to use to get glammed up for the holidays.

  • ๐Ÿ†The Best of 2025: Curate a capsule with one or more makeup product(s) that made (or would make) your "best of" list for 2025. Alternatively, assemble a capsule that includes your favorite (or mix of favorite) theme(s) from this year makeup capsule challenge.

Why weekly?
Years ago, beauty & lifestyle blogger Serein Wu, did a weekly series (on her blog and YouTube channel), Makeup Bag Monday, where she rotated her makeup bag each week with new product launches and makeup already in her collection. If weekly works for you, great. If not, feel free to join in based on what works best for you.

When are the weekly themes posted?
I generally try to post the themes for the next month about two weeks before the start of that next month (so around the 15th of each month, give or take a few days), except that, for this month, weekly themes for weeks 2 thru 5 for January will be posted by or before end of the day on January 2. Weekly themes are updated at the end of the then current week (e.g., Sunday). This year, I will plan to update the weekly themes the Sunday before the start of the next week's theme, around 9pm Pacific / 10pm Mountain / 11pm Central / 12midnight Eastern Time.

What if I don't have enough products to fit the theme for a full face?

There's need for your entire makeup capsule to fit the weekly theme(s). Just one item will do. And, even if you don't have one that fits squarely within a theme, feel free to post your makeup capsule. We'd love to see what you're using and hear your feedback on the products as you put them to use - are they a favorite or a potential favorite? Are they just 'meh'? Or, is it time to declutter the item(s) from your stash?

Is there anything else I should include in my capsule?
It's all up to you what to include in your capsule. Some weeks, my capsule consists of completely different items than the week before. Other weeks, I've swapped out just a few items or have included additional items in one category of products - some of us refer to this as giving us options for the week.

You may see reference to "fits." That was creatively coined by our fabulous @danielledanielle and refers to the bag or component that will hold the week's makeup and, specifically, does all the makeup for the week's capsule fit into the bag / storage component. You ca also include the makeup brushes and tools you use for application, if you wish.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

A sneak peek at the capsule themes for the first two weeks of 2026. I'll upload a new post in the next couple of days.

๐ŸŽ‰ January  1 - 11 - The "New Year, New-To-You" Makeup Capsule and/or The "Mentally Minded" Makeup Capsule

Let's start off the new year by putting together a capsule made up of one or more makeup products that are new-to-you or that you want to incorporate into your routine in 2026. Maybe there's a beauty that's been sitting in your stash for a while that you've been meaning to try, here's your chance! Or perhaps you're looking to hone your contouring skills (or if you're like me, get those skills to begin with) a la the face mapping lessons at ๐Ÿซ๐ŸŽ“BIC University ๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿซ, make contour products a focal point of your makeup capsule. Or you might want to focus on primers this month as part of the Beauty Challenge -- Twelve Months of Beauty Inventory.

January is recognized a Mental Wellness Month. Curate a capsule made up of one or more product(s) from one or more makeup brands that supports or promotes mental health (or mental heath awareness (which is historically recognized in October)).

Spoiler
Makeup Brands Supporting Mental Health Awareness*
Maybelline entered into a 5-year partnership in 2024 with the WHO Foundation to expand access to mental health services across the globe.

Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez "donates 1% of sales to the Rare Impact Fund (also founded by Selena Gomez), which aims to raise $100 million over 10 years to increase access to mental health resources."

Urban Decay entered into a 3-year partnership with the Cybersmile Foundation in 2021 to introduce a new campaign to raise awareness about online bullying and promote digital wellness. It appears the partnership may have concluded last year and I was not able to locate information to confirm that the partnership had been extended.

* The list was compiled based on an online article titled "10 Must-Know Beauty Brands That Empower Mental Health Initiatives" from Who What Wear, statements found on brand websites, and information obtained through various online searches. I will update this list on or before January 1, 2026 to include additional brands based on other resources I found.
 January 12 - 18 - The "Glowing & Golden" Makeup Capsule
The Golden Globes will have taken place on January 11. Take inspiration from a look (or two) from a Golden Globe nominee or attendee, or anyone who walked the red carpet or attended an after party, and put together a capsule inspired by that look. Didn't watch the Golden Globes? No problem. Curate a capsule with one or more makeup products that make you feel glowing and golden ... like you were born to be!!

Don't feel like you need to stop at your makeup either! Have a fly outfit waiting to be shared, get yourself decked out, take some snaps and head on over to the The Fit, The Fab and The Face: Outfit and Inspo Thread to share your beauty from head to toe.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

The "Best of 2025" Makeup Capsule

There are a lot of categories I can have for "best of" when it comes to makeup. Last year's "best of" list was based on products I used for the challenge and I cycled through a lot of the products in my collection that year, donating and re-homing most of the items that didn't work for me and tossing those that were expired or not in a condition that could be donated or passed along to someone else.

I took a different approach to my capsules this year - instead of cycling through as much of the products in my collection as I could, I elected to primarily work through what I already had open and enjoyed using. This was intended to help me use what I had and not contribute to the cycle I often found myself in, namely, having a lot of open but barely used products just sitting around. The problem for me personally with that is that I don't get around to the vast majority of those products until either they are very close to expiring or worse yet, they've already expired. ๐Ÿ˜– So, for 2025, I focused mostly on using products already open, but incorporated new or new-to-me products from time-to-time to get in the habit of using what I purchase and not letting them sit too long before doing so.

As a result of changing up how I rotated through my makeup collection, my "best of" for 2025 was naturallly going to be more limited in scope than the previous year. That said, below is what earned a spot on my "best of" list for 2025 for makeup. I'll come back later to tag / highlight what I can and to comment briefly on those products that are new to the list (i.e., that were not a carry over from my 2024 best of list)

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Weeks 51 - The "Holiday Glitz & Glam" Makeup Capsule
51 - Glitz & Glam.jpg
In general, my glitz and glam looks are more often of the low-key persuasion than what most typically consider a full glam face. It's a personal preference, swayed largely by the time I want to allocate to getting all glammed up and the little patience I have with myself to actually put the effort into doing a full face, full glam look. I've done it before, but not often.

With that in mind, I took to putting together a capsule this week that was more in keeping with my version of a "glitz and glam" look, which admittedly will be what many others might do for their everyday look. I've listed a few alternative products I reach for if I truly am looking to amp up or glam up my look.

COMPLEXION:
  • Primer: Skincare of some sort, be it my sunscreen (daytime) or moisturizer or face oil (evening)
  • Foundation: Urban Decay Face Bond Self Setting Waterproof Foundation for its staying power. I've been working on trying to use up this tube so I reach for this more often when I don't want to have to worry about whether my base makeup remains intact all day. Other products I love to use for special occasions is the OG the GOAT, Armani Beauty Luminous Silk Natural Glow Foundation and the DIOR Forever Skin Perfect 24H Multi-Use Foundation Stick
  • Concealer: MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Skin Face Essentials Long-Lasting Full Face Cream Palette at the moment because my breakouts are in the healing stages and the UD + MUFE should do the trick. Victoria Beckham by Augustinus Bader The Concealer Pen for under eyes. If I need more coverage to conceal blemishes or even skin tone, I'll sub in Armani Beauty Power Fabric Concealer. [NOTE: Tagging products is acting up so I'll come back another time to tag remaining items].
  • Setting Powder: Sephora Collection Microsmooth Powder or Dior Pressed Powder Foundation on occasions or in places (around nose) where I need more coverag
  • Setting Spray: A spritz of Gucci mist to meld powder liquid and cream products together then the Hourglass finishing powder then PML setting spray for an extra dewy complexion. For a more matte finish on my lower T-zone, it will be either ONE/Size or Skindinavia Oil Control.
  • Finishing Powder: Hourglass Dim Light

EYES:
  • Primer: NARS Pro-Prime Eyeshadow Primer (not shown)
  • Eyeshadow: YSL Stora Dolls with one of the MUFE highlighter shade for inner corner highlight (less fallout and gives more of a shimmery sheen than a sparkly glitter effect) - I also don't have to be so careful with application with the YSL so it makes it more convenient to use when I'm short on time
  • Eyeliner: Danessa Myricks liquid eyeliner Onyx or the bottom left hand corner shade in YSL Stora Dolls for upper line. Makeup by Mario for lower waterline. I'm testing out a new liquid liner I picked up and may give it a go other than around the house this week/weekend.
  • Brows: L'Oreal Paris Faux Brow Eyebrow Tint Double Brush Brow Pen
  • Mascara: just on the outer tips - a trick I learned from the YSL crew at SEPHORiA 2023 NYC - L'Oreal Voluminous in either green or burgundy.

CHEEKS:
  • Blush & Bronzer: MUFE
  • Highlight: Merit Bounce. If I want something bolder, I'll reach for Fenty Hu$ler Baby.

LIPS
These beauties, along with an eyeshadow blending brush and a lip brush, are my lip go-to's this holiday season. Between these, I can get a softer, sheer look for every day as well as a more bold and vibrant glam look for evenings out (or for daytime if I'm feeling up to it).
  • Lip Contour: Melt Ivory
  • Liner: either Merit lip liner Bespoke (2023 edit) or Rare Beauty Admired (limited edition)
  • Lipstick: Hung Vanngo Call My Agent
  • Lip Gloss: Gucci lip gloss 509 Rosso Ancora or Dior Addict Lip Maximizer Lip Gloss 112 Sunlit Amber (limited edition)

The "Fits":
Keeping it simple yet spectacular in one of my favorite bags of all time, a Sephora shopping bag. ๐Ÿ˜
51 - Glitz & Glam Fits 1.jpg
51 - Glitz & Glam Fits 2.jpg
I don't foresee needing to reapply my makeup much with what I have going on this week and will just toss the MUFE palette, the SC or Dior pressed powder (depending on how much redness my skin may be dealing with), and whatever lip products I'm wearing that day in my handbag for any touchups. And the Gucci mist (transferred to a travel size spray) to refresh and hydrate throughout the day.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@itsfi  love this capsule! And I love that you made it your own with your personal version of a glitz & glam look. I completely get what you mean about not having the patience to do a full glam/full face look - I haven't lately, either. Maybe one of these days...

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@caitbird, thank you. I've figured out shortcuts to the more challenging parts of a full face routine but I don't often put it all together. I rarely do a full eye and cheek look in the same look, but I might next week.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Week 50 Makeup Capsule

I initially thought I'd keep to the one capsule for two weeks, possibly adding one, maybe two products this week, as a shout out to the new pantone color of the year, but, other than white tips for a French mani or nail art, I don't typically incorporate white into my makeup or beauty looks. Also, while I wasn't predisposed to a particular color, I was hoping it would be a color, possibly a deeper or richer shade or brown, or a hue along the lines of the blue that Rare Beauty is using for its new fragrance - what is that, slate blue? French blue? It's lovely. Serene. Sophisticated. Elegant. But, I digress.

Anyhow, with the year coming to a close and another quickly to begin, it got me thinking, about a lot of things, but in terms of makeup capsules, it got me thinking about what stood out in this year; what I gravitated to more often, and why; as well as my process of picking and choosing every week between the new-to-me products I'm excited to try and tried-and-true items I know work for me. So I decided to use this week, where there's not really a theme set in stone, to work through that pick-and-choose process with the goal of working my way to/towards coming up with the beauties for my week 52 best of 2025 makeup capsule.

50 - Pantone 2026 A.jpg

It'll come as no surprise to most who know me (or who have followed along with the makeup capsule challenge for any period of time) that neturals are my sweet spot, where I'm most at ease with my makeup look. Neutrals isn't necessarily entirely browns (though it often seems like it), as I  do like some color on my lips (and fine, cheeks, too, lol), but whatever the shade, be it pink, mauve, rose or plummy, or even a brown based color or with a hint of red, it's more muted, softer, more natural ... neutral. ๐Ÿ˜

So, against a white backdrop (a towel, an ode to my very first background for photos, way back when!), we have the following beauties from a bevy of fabulous brands:

Complexion:

Eyes:

  • Primer: NARS Pro-Primeโ„ข Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base Original, the OG and still going strong. About-Face has a good primer as well.
  • Eyeshadow: Yves Saint Laurent Couture Mini Clutch Eyeshadow Palette 100 Stora Dolls becuase I can do an everyday wash of color and a smoky eye with it. Part of my Pan It! - 2025 Challenge . There are a handful of good eyeshadows to add to this list for best of, including a couple of eyeshadow sticks - looking at you Danessa Myricks.
  • Brow: Ami Colรฉ On Point Precision Brow Pencil (discontinued) - I prefer a brow gel or pomade but this pencil isn't bad. A 2025 best of list has to include the Glossier Boy Brow even if I'm working through other products.
  • Liner (lower water liner): Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Brightening Eye Pencil Light 1 (discontinued). Haven't found anything to compete with this Makeup by Mario.
  • Mascara: My go-to mascaras have been set for a while. For this week, I'm deviating from them and going for something a more fun and more colorful for the holidays (not pictured), L'oreal Paris Makeup Voluminous Mascara - 950 Deep Burgundy and L'oreal Paris Makeup Voluminous Mascara - 960 Deep Green

Cheeks: This category is a work in progress in terms of 'best of' as I really just started delving into cheek products in more detail this year. Definitely some standouts that make the best of list but still too early to cement anything in place.

Lips: Way too many favorites but we'll see if we can start to identify my top 3, okay maybe 5 this year, for each category. Ack!!! The though alone stresses me out a little.

Tools: a mix of brushes from Wayne Goss

50 - Pantone 2026 C.jpg

Fraagrance (not shown): KILIAN Paris Angels Share Eau de Parfum with Tonka Bean & Cinnamon 1.7 oz / 50 mL eau de parfum spra... and Jo Malone London Ginger Biscuit Cologne Travel Spray 0.34 oz./10ml cologne spray and World of Chris Collins Forbidden Apple Croque Moi Eau de Parfum Travel Spray 0.34 oz/10ml eau de par... and TOM FORD Vanille Fatale Eau de Parfum Fragrance with Coffee & Mahogany 1 oz / 30 mL perfume spray

The "Fits":

It does. The bag is white for Pantone color of the year with sparkly snowflakes in a nod to the festive season and to add some sparkle, life and personality to the bag.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@itsfi , I think you did a fabulous job. A best of is really hard to do in BIC ๐Ÿคฃ, but I think I've seen most of these in your capsules throughout the year.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

It probably would have been easier to list "things that didn't make the best of" list @danielledanielle but then, I probably should have decluttered most of those things, maybe? ๐Ÿคฃ I did use this capsule a few days. I'll post an actual "Best Of" capsule this and next week - going to approach it differently than I did last year.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

I love those Wayne Goss brushes, too, @itsfi!  I have my original ones although I love my Sonia G eye brushes, too.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

The WG and Sonia G brushes are lovely @curlychiquita

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@itsfi Oh those WG brushes โค๏ธ and what a cute bag!

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Thank you @Samtian! It's probably the closest I get to snow most year. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I can't remember where I picked this up - either during a small business Saturday shopping outing last year or amazon - two very different shopping experiences, lol. The Wayne Goss brushes are marvelous. I really need to do a better job of rotating through my makeup brushes - it comes in waves. I'm usually really good when I don't feel like washing my brushes, easier to reach for other ones. Hahahaha!

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@itsfi I was going to say you can come up here and get lots of snow...but we've actually only had 1 snow day this winter/fall so far.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Weeks 49 & 50 - The "Out With the Old, In With the New" Makeup Capsule

I will likely modify this month's capsule schedule in a couple of days, making a new theme for Week 50 (next week), once Pantone announces its color of the year for 2026, which should take place sometime Thursday morning.

I'll reach for these beauties this (and possibly next) week - a mix of oldies but goodies, new-ish treats and a couple of mocha mousse items. Depending on what the Pantone Color of the Year is for 2026, I may swap out or add a few products next week to incorporate that color into the capsule, or, alternatively, curate a new capsule.

49 - 50 No 2 A.jpg

Through a series of glitches and user error (I kept forgetting to copy my comments before hitting "post" ๐Ÿ˜ฃ) my notes are not posting and I've already spent a couple of hours trying to post twice and including tags/links (how I would occasionally do them for product releases in previous months) so if I feel up to it, I'll circle back with more detailed thoughts another day.

Nothing here is really on the "outs" here, though the LYS Beauty mascara will likely go sometime early next year because I'll either use up most of it or it'll be time to rotate it out of my collection (shelf life is usually 3-6 months after opening subject to changes in sight, smell, performance, etc.). Also, the Gucci liquid lipstick was something that I thought I had decluttered earlier this year so I'm surprised I found it in one of my makeup bags (I don't think it's another one I had ...). May see how it pairs with the new Gucci gloss I recently purchased (and still need to post to the hauls thread, doh!!!).

And, with a little Tetris magic, it all fits!

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Week 48 - The "Things I'm Grateful For" Makeup Capsule
48 - Grateful Thankful 1a.jpg
Nothing really brand new here, a couple of things that have only been taken out for a test drive a few times before this week but most of the items in my makeup bag for this week are tried-and-true products. Some of these beauties were gifted to me by some very kind and generous friends, others were part of gratis packages I was fortunate to receive, or part of event swag or giveways or promotional gifts with purchase. Most are ones I purchased on my own. All are items I appreciate having in my repertoire.

Complexion:
๐ŸŒบ My go-to the past few weeks has been Tower 28 Beauty SunnyDays SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation ๐Ÿ on my nose, around my mouth and that area just below my left eye and the highest point of my cheeks, where the sun hits me the hardest when I'm driving, and Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Medium to Full Coverage Radiant Concealer with Hyaluronic Acid, a full coverage concealer to cover the pesky pimples on my chin and any dark and sun spots the Tower 28 tint wasn't able to fully conceal.

๐ŸŒป  Under eye concealer + setting powder: Victoria Beckham by Augustinus Bader The Concealer Pen with TFC8ยฎ has come through as an under eye concealer! To set, I've been testing it out with the RMS Beauty Hydra Setting Powder Translucent (gratis) and the combination is quite nice.

๐ŸŒท To set my entire face, it's the trifecta combo of the SEPHORA COLLECTION Microsmooth Multi-Tasking Baked Face Powder Foundation (not pictured), the Gucci Brume de Beautรฉ Beauty Mist 2.7 oz / 80 mL ๐Ÿ all over and the Skindinavia The Makeup Finishing Spray (Oil Control) on my lower T-zone. The pairing of the CT concealer and SC powder has been excellent for setting concealer over my blemishes or dark spots from previous pimples.

Eyes:
๐ŸŒผ Eyeshadow: When it comes to eyeshadow I'm a one-and-done wash of color kind of gal 95% of the time so eyeshaow sticks are right up my alley. Another plus is that most, if not all the one I've tried, wear perfectly fine on their own, without a primer underneath. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Stick Golden Bronze and Thrive Causemetics Infinity Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick (Dr. Q) have always been part of my collection, though I don't know if I've ever had to actually purchase a full size BB Golden Bronze as it is a frequent gwp for me.

๐ŸŒน Eye Liner (lower waterline): Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Brightening Pencil - Light 1 (discontinued) continues to be the one - formulation, color, performance - it hits the mark on all 3!

๐ŸŒธ Brows: L'oreal Paris Faux Brow Eyebrow Tint (Ulta Beauty World L'oreal booth giveaway) has really been a good surprise for me. I still prefer the quick and easy application of a brow pomade or gel but this eyebrow tint does a good job of filling in my brows with relative ease. I would consider repurchasing when I use up this one.

๐ŸŒฑ Mascara: Yves Saint Laurent Lash Clash Extreme Volume Waterproof Mascara Black is among the top 5 for me.

Cheeks:
๐Ÿ’ Blush: Minori Cream Blush (Orchid) is a pretty, buildable, cream blush. I first learned about this brand when I was gifted this and the highlighter from a dear friend. It's on my list of brands to dig deeper into in the new year.

๐ŸŒธ Bronzer: One of my favorite gratis products I've ever received is the MAKEUP BY MARIO SoftSculpt Transforming Skin Enhancerยฎ. I've purchased this one in different shades because I liked the product so much, so that I can have it in a color for multiple seasons. A little goes a long way, as evidenced by my taking forever to work my way through it.

๐ŸŒป Highlight: Highliighter is probably the makeup product I'm least likely to remember to use unless I've set it aside in advance but I do enjoy both the subtle sheen and ease of use of the Minori Cream Highlighter (Golden) (gifted).

Lips:
Keeping things (relatively) simple this week with the lip options.

๐Ÿ’ฎ Lip Liner: It'll be MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Color Pencil Long-Lasting Lip Liner 600 Anywhere Caffeine (Sephoria 2023 NYC booth giveaway) all week. I tend to reach for 606 Wherever Walnut more frequently when it comes lip liner so I thought I'd give this shade some more love and attention this wee

๐ŸŒท Lipsticks: I love samples because I can test out products before committing to a full size. Most brands that have lipstick samle typically offer a generous sample portion and Fenty was no exception. The blister packets are in the shades  Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Fenty Icon The Fill Semi-Matte Refillable Lipstick in Pose Queen, The MVP and Scholar Sista. I have a full size of Scholar Sista in the lipstick case, which was gifted to me by a very kind and genrous friend. Will try to post swatches to the 100 Days of Lipstick Challenge later this week.

๐ŸŒบ Lip Oil: Formula and color on the Cheekbone Beauty Healing Lip Oil - Resilience Red (limited edition) are superb and that's saying a lot coming from me about a red.

Fragrance:
๐ŸŒน Going with Jo Malone Ginger Biscuit and Origins Ginger Essence this week, worn alone or paired together a la Olfactory Overtures: The Fragrance Layering Thread.

The "Fits":
One of my all-time favorite makeup bags (gratis) - it's roomy, fluffy and red, with cute buttons!! If that weren't enough, seeing it always makes me think of BIC and good feels abound.

This capsule is kind of a love letter.

There's things I've been gifted.

The eyeshadow palettes are my first two PMG Motherships, PAT McGRATH LABS Mothership V Eyeshadow Palette - Bronze Seduction and PAT McGRATH LABS Mothership VII Eyeshadow Palette: Divine Rose

Spoiler
BIC has been quiet lately, but I'm still hanging around until last call ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿฅฒ... It's been 9 years since I really delved back into beauty.  I've enjoyed all the inspo and enabling.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Lots of 'ooohs' and 'aaaahs' as I was going through your capsule @danielledanielle๐Ÿ˜ We'll have some twinning moments. Love the mix of tried-and-true and newness in this capsule. Ahhhh, PML Bronze Seduction!!! Such a gorgeous palette! ๐Ÿ’– Oh my goodness, I just noticed the progress you've made on that Ami Colรฉ liner - excellent work. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ I'm hoarding a few of my AC items. I know I shouldn't, but just a little longer on a few of them.

Oh, what's the product in the tin with the lashes? Lashes, I'm assuming, maybe?

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@itsfi  I love twinning here.  We're like little makeup tunning forks, picking up on each other's vibes.

I love Cafรฉ Touba... It's MAC mahogany but a little different.  I thought about saving it, but this one is well loved, so I'm keeping it going.  And there are ... Duplicates.  (How many, at least two? I dunno) I wish they expanded the range, these work well dull, work well with a point.  They aren't super creamy, but they do the job and usually between Touba and Midnight, I can get a nice ombre.  Plus, midnight is an easy nose contour for me.

Yeah, that's a lash case.  Hubbs broke my bigger one that I got from Sephora.  This one, is cuter and you can attach a strip for magnetic lashes.
