that is a pretty significant price jump from from the last collection... the exchange isnt that terrible at the moment 😞

although, in hindsight, $202, is less than a $20 differencefrom the last collection... for some reason, psychologically, once you break into the next $100, it feels like that much more 😮

@myxducky personally my distaste is due to the fact that I don’t believe the US got a price increase on this and as you said, exchange isn’t currently that bad.

you're right, @Mochapj! i totally went to go look on Tom Ford direct to check the price as soon as I saw it was $202 on Holts, and the eye and cheek palettes were still $155, which I think was the price before. I wonder if its because the exchange rate was have been worse when Holts may have been doing all the buying for spring collections and would have purchased at a worse rate.. and unfortunately, is just passed onto consumers 😞

either way, I'm going to have to think twice since I mostly wanted the palette for the burgundy shadow... because the highlighter and blush look pretty similar to softcore, which I already own 😞

I agree. Honestly I am reevaluating at that price point. I already have Pink glow and I am not sure it is different enough to warrant the $200 + tax.

Hi @myxducky, you're right, the exchange rate lags, so it would have been higher when these were priced. (Even an exch rate of 1.30 x $155 US = $201.5 CAD.) I'd expect better pricing mid-to-late year. It might be worth costing from Selfridges (I think the Soleil palettes were selling for $138 Cdn plus shipping, taxes, and duties). It's hard to swallow $200 Cdn plus taxes. (I'd wait for a sale.) Last Fall, I stopped at a CCO south of Minneapolis and they had more TF products than I have ever seen at a CCO, and large quantities of all 3 eye and cheek palettes and the SS17 releases. I'm seriously considering a low buy TF products and another Fall weekend in Minneapolis.

Thanks for posting, @Mochapj. It's so helpful to see the palette in action, especially when a TF counter is hours away. I was encouraged to see the Runway eyeshadow. How might you wear it?

@TraceyEB I'm undecided.

The Runway Extreme single (or whatever it's called) had my attention when I thought the shimmer was multicoloured, however in Michele's video it just looks like a straight smoky black with silver glitter (aka a slightly more opaque version of Black Onyx paillette or the VBxEL Burnt Anise eye foil) both of which I already own.

If I was to purchase it, I'd probably use it to do easy smoky eyes by buffing it all over the lid, but at present I think I'll be passing.

Man I thought I was pretty safe from TF after I pretty much had all the quads, ans nothing had caught my eyw for a while, but this eye and cheek palette has me sold!... and I might need to grab a couple of the singles for science while I'm at it too! 😍
