I saw these start to appear at different retailers liked Nordstrom (sold out at the moment), Bergdoft Goodman, Cosbar. Haven’t seen them at Sephora yet.

@blackkitty2014 I did. My local store received them on the weekend so I asked them to send me a pair. They should be arriving this afternoon.

I was always intending to pick up Desert Fox but on the fence about the other. I'm much more interested in that one I posted the preview of last year with the navy blue shade in it, but I don't know the name so I haven't been able to get any further info on it from any of my SAs :S

This was shared with me today; possibly another new quad called Insolent Rose. Given that Seductive Rose was discontinued, this looks like a probable replacement.

 

all the quads are launching in the Asian market next month and per my Canadian SA they will launch in North America in March

Looks like Costa Azzurra has been rebranded into the Signature fragrance line, from the Private Blend collection. I assume this means it's probably been reformulated in some way as they did when they moved Ombre Leather and Beau de Jour.

@Mochapj I welcome this change. I love how they offer Ombré Leather at excellent price. I love the scent. It might be a bit more masculine than I can wear but I love to sniff the scent. Soooo good!

@blackkitty2014 I love OL16 as well. I don't find it too masculine at all and liked it so much that I ended up buying a backup bottle before it originally disappeared 😄 

I haven't tried the new version of OL on my skin but I have sniffed it at the counter a few times and it is similar to the original but doesn't quite seem the same. I am glad they decided to bring it back though, because it is a beautiful scent, either way.

Hello my Tom Ford Bic Babes!

I've only recently delved into TF shadow quads.  I'd originally picked out seductive rose as a good starter for me only to find it's gone at most retailers.  I ended up going with violet orchid and I love it.  I'm now seeing seductive rose available and I'm wondering if I should be jumping on it.  I do prefer cool tones and pinks/purples/lighter tones so I'm inclined to grab it, however after looking at swatches online it's looking a lot like violet orchid.  Does anyone have both that they could offer an opinion?  I live 5 hours away in a different country from the nearest TF counter so seeing in person is not an option.

@missjeanie here are a few comparisons. As well, I should mention the other reason there isn’t too much variation between the 2 glitters is that they don’t have much of a base colour to them, as is pretty common with glitters in most of the old TF quads.

Wow.  @Mochapj thank you so much!  I thought they looked similar in the pan, but seeing them switched side by each really shows it.  I think VO seems much more versatile, exactly for the reason you stated, the two glitters in SR look a lot like each other when swatched.  I think I made the right choice in picking up VO and might skip SR.  After seeing them swatches like this I think I'd only be getting it for fear of missing out on it.  Might just pause and see if more swatches/photos of the spring quads tempt me. Thank you so much for your help!

@missjeanie I have both. 

I would say the colour stories are quite similar from looking at them in the pan, but the textures and opacity are very different.

Personally I’m not a huge fan of SR because it has 2 glitter shades with very little differentiation once they’ve been applied. However, much like I’ve noticed with Golden Mink, it might look more distinct if you are paler in skintone. 

SR was on this year’s discontinue list, so if you do think you want it, I’d grab it soon before it disappears for good. If you’d like I can provide side by side swatches if that would help

@Mochapj if you could do swatches I'd be so appreciative.  I am fairly pale so it could be that the difference would show more?  The fear of missing it is what's pushing me to figure out if if I want it now.  Otherwise I'd be happy to wait until I could see them in person lol

The other new quad that’s coming out, Desert Fox @blackkitty2014 @Winthrop44  kind of looks like a revision of Cognac Sable to me
