@blackkitty2014 I just received my Frostfire this afternoon (our postal service is on strike, so shipping has been verrrrry slow) so I haven't tried it on my face yet.

That said, as I was saying to FiercePoodle below, these don't feel or resemble any of the Extreme singles I have. When I was swatching this quad today I was struck by how different the formulas felt compared to the singles. Given that the singles weren't terribly well received, I wouldn't be surprised if they used a different formula.

The top right shade feels soooooo dry. It actually feels and looks like the base of one of the glitter singles (TFX16) but without any visible (that I can see) glitter, which had made the singles feel sort of scratchy/chunky.  I'm planning to try it with the scratchiest brush my eyes can handle, but beyond that perhaps wetting it might help?

IMO the only shade that seems true to the Extreme singles is the bottom left but even that still seems like it's a different foil formula than the foil singles.

Thx @Mochapj, I’m okay with all shades except for that darn top right. It’s garbage lol 😂. It’s so dry. I will try it again this weekend with diff brushes to see if that make any differences. Tom oh Tom sigh 😔

@Winthrop44 I think it's really pretty. It doesn't come across in still photos but the bottom left shade in the quad has a duochrome shift from pink to blue.

I just picked it up today though, so I haven't tried it on my lids yet.

Found these swatches of Frostfire. I'm on the fence on picking up this quad. I don't have any extreme singles, and the reviews are so mixed. Decisions, decisions! (This is my first post on these forums, so if formatting/sizing is awful - forgive me, I'll get the hang of it!)

Well, the Mel Thompson review swayed me - I ordered Frostfire. It should be here today - looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for your swatches & mini-review @Mochapj, that's what piqued my interest in the first place!  😃

And yes, I picked up several of the new quads. Sigh - so much pretty.

@fiercestpoodle I have a lot of the Extreme singles (which I enjoy but know I'm in the minority) and I received my quad today.

I don't find these texturally similar to the singles at all.  In fact, I don't even find the finishes similar to the singles.

The top white feels more like a baked pigment (reminds me of the pigment shades in Pat McGrath palettes, Astral Ghost Orchid specifically). The lavender almost seems like a matte. The silvery shade is most similar to the Extreme singles, almost like the foil finish. The darkened purple seems more like a matte finish with microshimmer than the ultra glittery extreme glitters.

I haven't worn it yet though, so we will see.

@Mochapj Thank you! I have the Pat McGrath palettes, so thank you for that comparison for the white shade - I couldn't place why it appeared familiar! I look forward to hearing your experience with this palette once you get a chance to try it out. I am (im)patiently waiting for the other 7 quads to show up on Sephora - I really hope it happens during this weekend's Rouge sale.

Thank you @Mochapj! Inspired by your review and look, I have been wearing Virgin Orchid nonstop. Truly loving this! All 4 shades work beautifully together. If we use shade number 3 all over, that is a cool Taupe look! If we use shade number 2 all over, that is a Rose Gold look. Number 4 is nice for contour. Number 1 can be tapped on lid with finger for a moonlight gleam! 😊 Hoping to see some look with Daydream. Also loving Iris Bronze quad a lot!

Yay @TraceyEB!!! 😄 How do you like Virgin Orchid? I like it, but I like the Iris Bronze quad even more. My next target is the Soleil Palette. I am not seeing too many reviews yet.

Hi @ms123456, I don't have Virgin Orchid though I am enjoying swatches of the new palettes. I'm not sure about the Soleil Eye and Cheek palette for me but curious to see the shades and reviews.

Tom Ford 01 FrostFire Extreme Quad in action. Sorry I’m in a rush. Everything is butter smooth except the top right. It’s dry. It’s not a user friendly quad for sure but the look is better in person than in photo. I only used the lightest and the darkest shades. It turns out to be multi dimensional purple. Real pretty

definitely looks like the glitter shades are consistent with the texture of the extreme singles, based on your finger photo.

mine didn’t ship until last night (our postal service has been on rotating strike) so I don’t have it in my hands yet.

I’ll be sure to come back with my thoughts once it arrives. zpsid91 sent me swatches of her palette as well and based on both of you I'm surprised by how different it looks from the stock photo

Report:  i had very little fall out and when i took off after 6 hrs (bed time), everything was still intact.  Sorry for the bad pictures i couldnt capture the multi-dimention sparkles.  Will try the other 2 shades sometimes this week.  Is it worth it? I'm not sure... since i dont have lots of glitters to compare with and this is my first experience with TF extreme shadows.  It's fun but i still wish it's a bit cheaper.  Hopefully @Mochapj will post soon after she plays with her.  I'm keeping the quad though.

Ugh: i cant edit: Forgot to say it's 0.27 oz (surprise!! surprise!! VO and DD are 0.21 oz).  And i applied using fingers (i didnt use glitter glue).  Will report back on wear time.
