Hi GC, do you think Liam, Theo and Jay are similar?

Ivy - they are not similar.  Liam is the darkest and most sheer.  I am least impressed with Liam amongst these purples.  Jay is a better colour.  Theo is lighter, brighter, and more pigmented than Jay.

GC - I realized I may need backup's..... I don't any Lips & Boys and i have only 5 tom ford lipsticks....Can you recommend some must have's and backup's from the L&B shades (new & re-releases) please ?

Dioraddict, I typically wera brights and bolds.  So my list doesn't have many nudes (I have shown a couple that I think will flatter you).  But here are Must haves:

Old L&B

Francesco - old (not part of re-release).

Cooper-old (This is Pure Pink in full size, and that is permanent)

Xavier (my favourite ever.  It is Violet Fatale in full size, and that is permanent)

New/re-released L&B

Alejandro - re-released (there are 4 reds in the collection.  Get at least one)

Rafael - re-released

Tony - This is a red, so choose wisely.  New (I plan for a backup).

Joaquin - new (I plan a backup)

Theo/Jay -new (get one of these)

Kingston/Alex - new (get one of these.  If you have Francesco, you can pass)

Daniel - new

Derek - new

Drake - new

Guillermo - re-released

Just got off the phone with a Tom Ford SA at Nordstrom Vancouver, she said Drake,Alex, David, Roman and Theo are already sold out (So yes, they know exactly how many lipsticks they are getting for each shade.) And  they will process all the pre-orders on Nov 26.

They are getting lesser stock than holts from the numbers I heard!

With Holts, they never know how many lipsticks they are getting. I don't think they are giving out the free case with a purchase of 3 lipsticks either.

They only have the set of 10 and 50. And Vancouver Holts has the numbers for each shade they are getting.

FYI - This set of 10 comes with pre-set colours.  You can't pick and choose the shades you want in them.

Most of the colours are nudes...kinda in the same family. 

I saw this set today - loved the box, but the shades were not the best variety.

ETA Note - The 25 new L&B include a lot of shimmers.  Beautiful shimmers.

Nudes/Lights (bolds/brights are further down thread)

So many "unique" shades this time, Stavros has a run for his money.  I don't think I am getting any of these colours only because my lips are so dark-pigmented that they won't show.  But if you are light-medium skin toned (or you have pinker lips than me) you will LOVE many of these shades.  They are gorgeous!  I will mark those that I found pretty (I can see Mocha in these).

Top - Bottom (wrist to elbow)

1. Ansel - pretty

2. Dempsey - pretty

3. Jude - meh

4. Louis - double meh

5. Austin - pretty

6. Derek - gorgeous

7. Daniel - gorgeous

8. Malik - gorgeous

9. Egon - gorgeous

10. David - champagne colour.  Potential as a topper.

11. Eddie - pretty kinda blah kinda pretty

12. Vladimir - silvery/grey.  A bit like Stavros.  Kinda meh.

13. Roman- a dark brown with olive/jade undertones.  I peg this the new Stavros.   I felt pretty in a "rocketman" kinda way.  If I were lost in space floating around with this lipstick on, I would surely be rescued and proposed to by the first alien that stumbles upon me.  So there is that.  This will break alien hearts.  Human?  Dunno.

Jude and Louis were the only two that I found terribly underwhelming.  They are very bubble-gummy, and I didn't find them special.  In the swatches they could easily be mistaken for a cheaper lipstick.

Wow, when I saw these last night, it felt like getting a sneak peak of Christmas gifts! Thank you soo much for taking the time to swatch all of these and posting for us. You must have had an amazing time!

Now I'm even more sure that I want 20 of these and a few of the repeats. 

But how many do I really need? 

Do you happen to know if these are LE or are they permanent like some bloggers reported?

Kate - my SA says that these are Limited Edition.  I had asked him to check with the TF Exec, and I just talked to him this morning.

I have read on Really Ree that these are permanent.  But at the moment I am treating them as LE (similar to last years L&B).

I'm going to see if there is anyway to get the box that holds 50 if I buy all the new shades...I really want the box to also hold last year's collection.

Kate, I asked Nordstrom Vancouver about this and I was told they were LE 😞
