Yeah.... I didn't pay attention when I saw the email this morning, but I just looked at my Ulta stats and I wanted to cover my eyes!  Wow!  Sure puts everything in perspective....

Nice!  This will never happen in California.   Although we finally did get some rain this month & everyone was freaking out because we've all forgotten what that's like - it helped a bit with our 6 year drought.

@Asche Lucky! Nothing closed for me even though everything was frozen this morning.  I slipped several times this morning, and had to scrape layers off my car! Also, I went to stop in my car at one point and oh, it did not stop, and that was scary.

I made it to school/work safely though.  I was only 5 minutes late to my cycling class this morning so I say that's a good thing baha.

@sabrinas Awww that really sucks. Glad you made it in safely! I think that the worst/scariest travelling conditions are when the world is a skating rink and your car just keeps sliding no matter what you do. 😐 Get home safe today!!

Uh oh! Are you in the Van area @Asche?

Our offices rarely shut down due to weather. The year it was -40 + windchill, when we got a couple feet of snow, etc... still had to go in. The only time was in 2013 when we had the floods. Parts of downtown was knee deep in water, hence we didn't have to go to work for 2 weeks.

Do you work for the media @k617?  I used to work for a large newspaper and I was expected to come in no matter what the weather was like. Even when the governor shut down the roads. I can't even count the number of times I risked my life to get there. Ugh

@jozkidI do not! I just live in a city where we get tons of snow in a normal year (past few years haven't been "normal" per se) so we're expected to be tough 😄

Maybe if we did get freezing rain and the roads were like skating rinks and safety would be an issue, then maybe...
