The other thread was getting too long and difficult to load!
So what are your beauty pet peeves? What grinds your gears? Share your stories!!!
@heartsmyface Like Peachy-orange. I can make it work with a liner. I can actually swatch it on my hand and watch the colour change.
Doing your makeup and feeling less pretty/like “yourself” than you did before lol
People using their long nails to scoop out skincare. Yuck!
@Crazy4Sephora1 okay that’s a bit disturbing. Nails are always bacteria ridden no matter how well you wash your hands.
After doing your makeup, and or even just after you put on mascara, and as soon as you do you get what I call eye boogies… so you have to pull it out and tears run down your face
A popular lip sleeping mask in caramel apple LE stained my silk pillow case. I sleep on my stomach so I don't know what I should do lol
I’m so glad you asked this @Mellmars1185 ! Someone spilled some champagne on a silk satin blouse and I am despondent!😭 I thought it wouldn’t stain but it did plus left a ring. These tips are so helpful! I hope your pillow case is ok!
You're not being a whiner, @Sunnysmom ! You should be able to have nice things and expect them to stay nice. Anyway, you spent your hard-earned money on your blouse. I would be upset if it were me! Why can't people be more careful?
@Sunnysmom Ohh no! Please let us know if any of these methods help get the stain out!
Will do @Mellmars1185 ! Crazy right! At a wedding so the risks are always there! 😭🤣 The dry cleaners weren’t hopeful because I guess it’s extra tricky being a darker color and also because of the satin sheen. Sigh.
@Sunnysmom Oh I am sorry. It sounds like a beautiful top.
@Mellmars1185 White vinegar breaks down most oils and is silk safe.
@heartsmyface Thank you! I have some at home. I will try this out in my next wash 🙏🤞
@Mellmars1185 - Shout laundry stain remover works for me. It's available at Target and Meijer.
Edit: Sorry, it says not for use on silk. Check the label on your pillowcase to make sure it is silk and not polyester. Otherwise, my bad!
@Titian06 Thank you! It is Mulberry silk. At this point I will try out stain remover. My pillow case looks so bad I will replace it if the stain remover doesn't work.
@Mellmars1185 - I'm sorry to hear that! Though I understand. I'm a side sleeper and get my lip mask on my (cotton) pillowcase all the time. 🙄
