@alexasteph Thank you for sharing your experience. Now I’m intrigued . I also prefer Ginger Kambucha from the previous Origin lab samples and still have some of it left. Guess I’ll be trying your mixture sometime soon.

@fatimamummy It’s really nice! I used a wet cotton pad to remove it, but I think a dry one would work too. The GK one is supposed to be rinsed off, which is why I didn’t just tissue it off. Next time I won’t use water though. It’ll probably be even more hydrating that way!

@alexasteph I usually use a cotton pad soaked with toner to remove a sticky mask which isn’t supposed to be rinsed off. This way residues are removed but it isn’t washed off. I don’t  know how much difference it makes on the performance of mask but it is just something I do.

So I received my goodies in the mail late last week from Sephora and Origins... thanks guys!!!

I decided to try it out last night before bed. First I washed my face with my usual cleanser, then I did a very quick 3-minute gentle exfoliation with DR. JART+ - Dermaclear™ Micro Milk Peel just to allow the mask to really sink in. After rinsing that off, I applied the Origins mask as directed. It does smell herbal, but maybe I was being swayed by the power of suggestion. It had a slightly sweet scent to it that made me think of — weed. Not that I would know anything personally about that or anything! 😁 Not strong or pervasive, but I couldn’t shake the impression. 

Anyway, it felt comfortable and cooling for the ten minutes I left it on (while keeping my eyes open for the cops... or my Mom) and I tissued it off after as directed. I was a little hesitant to massage the residue into my skin, but did so anyway. My skin felt very hydrated and almost bouncy when I went to bed. FYI, I have 57 year-old dry skin. 

When I woke up this morning, my skin still felt pretty hydrated. I rinsed my face while taking my shower (I don’t wash it in the morning — just rinse with water) and then applied my usual morning skincare products. I have to say my makeup applied extra smoothly this morning — my foundation looked especially glowy. I didn’t have any overnight breakouts as the mask was not heavy or greasy feeling either. 

I would definitely use it again, but maybe this time I’ll light up some incense. 😜 Here’s a photo of me wearing the mask. It unfortunately matches my horrible olive 70s bathroom, with equally horrible lighting which accentuates any eye bags and forehead lines. Enjoy!
