Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Well done in your points stack @AkirraF that's so awesome.

If I had a multiplier, I would have done the same. I use the philosophy ballet rose to scent the big faux roses woven through my scrolling bed frame and dream I am sleeping in a rose garden every night. 

I hope you get whichever scent you wanted. I took a pass this time but I'm always curious if Ulta makes good on their gwps. So please do share!

@alexalicious  funny I got the philosophy nude rose for one order (I love rose too). 🤗 I tried emailing CS about the points offer, since its right there on their homepage and makes it seem like everyone should get it, and even provided screenshots of the offer...they still didnt get it, and kept asking for the transaction #, before stating what the bonus offer was...so, I think I'm just going to email them again later (since they seem to need an order #, which is stupid, cuz if you didnt get the offer, then you probably wouldnt buy anything) and again say I never got the points...since I now have a record of them stating "Spend $100 during 21 days of beauty will get 500 bonus points. Spend $200 during 21 days of beauty will get 1000 bonus points. Offer must be activated. And the bonus points will be awarded on before 4/12/2021.",...this appears to be the only way to do it, once youve already placed an order, since I'm pretty sure they cant prove that I never actually got the offer, and I (and everyone) SHOULD have gotten it. worth a shot.

Just wanted to share something I noticed about Rakuten. They are not crediting all of my purchases. They said they didn't receive confirmation from the sites I bought from It was a pain but my cashback total went up by $20 by manually submitting the purchase details and I ' m not done yet. For a few months my totals seemed low and now I realize they probably were.

@Ispend2much6 I noticed that too and Rakuten told me the same, ulta wasn't notifying them or simply rejected the cash back.

This is similar to what happened with topcashback, ulta was rejecting cashback frequently and then stopped participating all together.

I wouldn't be surprised to see ulta drop cashback offers, which would be a total bummer, and continue to push these in app only offers and deals.

Apparently its something they're testing out.

The typical 3% cashback dropped to 2% on Rakuten recently. Oddly enough ibotta temporarily bumped up to 7%, but they are really finicky if you use coupons.

@alexalicious. Interesting. I did notice that a lot of stores on Rakbacuten offer way less % of cashback than before. With my account it's been happening with many different stores.

Prices seemed to have been higher at a lot of places online and in person.

@Buootiful actually ulta was really naughty on top of that.

They have had the 2oz gel for $6.95 for the past 6 months. Last night they changed the price to $15. Maybe they were correcting an oops, but i was so hoping it was going to be 1/2 of that price.

Sephora came to the rescue again! Like you I stocked up on the 10oz. Fantastic deal. Yay!

Mr.Rebates and Rakuten both do not recognize the app discounts and $80 gift. Did this happen to anyone else? I ended up getting no cash back because I had to buy on the Ulta app for the prices to be right.

Click on the link through rakuten.  Make your in-app purchase.  Report the shopping trip as missing using the rakuten app.

@jojo83 That is true. On Rakuten anyway, unless the app opens automatically when you link (like Groupon sometimes would for me), it won’t track for cashback. But it’s still worth a shot reporting this as missing cashback on Rakuten, if you have a record of it among your shopping trips. They may honor it and award it to you anyway.

No, I mean I opened mrrebates app and my cart would show the too faced eyeshadows as regular price instead of 10.50 and I had over 80 and it would not move the gift bag to free. Both apps rebate and Rakuten did that so I had to buy direct from Ulta app. Did this happen to anyone else? I even cleared cache and nope still same .

Yes, that's exactly what they are talking about. The Rakuten/MrRebates apps connect you to Ulta's website, but app-exclusive Ulta deals have to be purchased through Ulta's app. The workaround is to click through your cashback site so that you have a "shopping trip" on your history there, then go to the Ulta app and make your purchase. After you've bought through the Ulta app, go back to your cashback site and report it as a missing transaction. It's not 100% guaranteed to work, but can be successful.

This is the downside of app exclusive deals.
