Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Hi there, BIC and happy spring! Whether (a) you're spring cleaning, or (b) returning to the office and wanting to use the makeup you have (new and old) or will pick up along the way, or (c) interested in putting together a collection (big or small) of "go to" or Top Shelf product for every day, the season, a special event or occasions, or just in general, or (d) for any other reason, please join us here at the Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025.
Spring 2025 A.jpg

Spring 2025 B.jpg

How does this work?
To add a little bit of fun and creativity to curating a makeup capsule, there will be a weekly theme or prompt on which that week's group of beauty products will touch upon. There's no need to have every single product for the week fit the theme exactly. All you need is one product. And, truth be told, how that product fits into the weekly theme is subject to interpretation. Yours, primarily. So, please feel free to be creative. This is about finding a set of makeup products that work for you and your lifestyle, whether already in your collection or waiting to be found by you.

For me, I've found having a bag of makeup ready at the start of a week to be helpful in getting me out the door more efficiently, and feeling and looking put together. Some weeks my makeup bag has a minimalist look and feel; other weeks, the makeup capsule I've curated for use during the week resembles a more maximalist approach, with several products to choose from. There are weeks when I use the beauties in my capsule every day, and, there are weeks when I may add products into my existing bag of makeup during the week to meet my needs.

How Can / Do I Participate?
There are several ways you can participate - You can post a photo of the products you use or tag and list them, as you like. You can give someone's post a heart and / or ask questions about products in someone's capsule. You can post a different capsule every week or once a month or every once in a while, when a theme grabs your interest or draws your attention.

When and where are/will the weekly themes posted?
The weekly themes are (or will be) included in the original post - under the section titled "Current Makeup Capsule Theme" or "Upcoming Makeup Capsule Theme". Occasionally, I will post a link to a separate post with the monthly themes.

Week 22 (May 26 - June 1) - The Musician Founded / Owned Beauty Brand Makeup Capsule
We've got the American Music Awards (AMA) taking place on May 26. Use actual red carpet looks from this year or past years for inspiration when putting together a makeup capsule with one or more products that fit this week's prompt. Or, show us what product(s) you'd use if you were attending the AMAs. 🎶🎵🎶 Or, curate a capsue if one or more products from beauty brands (focusing primarily on makeup) that are founded or owned by a musician.

Why weekly?
Years ago, beauty & lifestyle blogger Serein Wu, did a weekly series (on her blog and YouTube channel), Makeup Bag Monday, where she rotated her makeup bag each week with new product launches and makeup already in her collection. Every Monday, she shared the products she selected for the upcoming week and provided detailed makeup reviews on the makeup she used for the previous week. My reviews here will likely not be as detailed, but I will at least try to include a few thoughts about the products at the end of the week or beginning of the next week.  If weekly works for you, great. If not, feel free to join in based on what works best for you.

Having a weekly capsule at the ready at (or near) the beginning of the week has also been helpful with making getting ready in the morning easier and more efficient, and that, has made it more fun too. It's also a great way for me to see how well a product performs with other products and that makes the decision to keep, donate, re-home or toss an item a lot easier. Also want to note that if the makeup for the week's capsule is not something you want to use for the entire week, that's fine, too. I generally use the makeup in the week's capsule 4-6 days during the week, sometimes more, sometimes less.

When are the weekly themes posted?
I generally try to post the themes for the next month about two weeks before the start of that next month (so around the 15th of each month, give or take a few days), except that, for this month, weekly themes for weeks 2 thru 5 for January will be posted by or before end of the day on January 2. Weekly themes are updated at the end of the then current week (e.g., Sunday). This year, I will plan to update the weekly themes the Sunday before the start of the next week's theme, around 9pm Pacific / 10pm Mountain / 11pm Central / 12midnight Eastern Time.

What if I don't have enough products to fit the theme for a full face?

There's need for your entire makeup capsule to fit the weekly theme(s). Just one item will do. And, even if you don't have one that fits squarely within a theme, feel free to post your makeup capsule. We'd love to see what you're using and hear your feedback on the products as you put them to use - are they a favorite or a potential favorite? Are they just 'meh'? Or, is it time to declutter the item(s) from your stash?

Is there anything else I should include in my capsule?
It's all up to you what to include in your capsule. Some weeks, my capsule consists of completely different items than the week before. Other weeks, I've swapped out just a few items or have included additional items in one category of products - some of us refer to this as giving us options for the week.

You may see reference to "fits." That was creatively coined by our fabulous @danielledanielle and refers to the bag or component that will hold the week's makeup and, specifically, does all the makeup for the week's capsule fit into the bag / storage component. You ca also include the makeup brushes and tools you use for application, if you wish.

Week 22 - The Musician Founded / Owned Beauty Brand Makeup Capsule

22 - Musician - Complexion.jpg

COMPLEXION:
🌿  Primer: Tatcha Mini Liquid Silk Canvas: Featherweight Protective Primer 0.35 oz/ 10g , for my AAPI founded beauty brand tie-in
🎧  Foundation: about-face The Performer Skin-Focused Foundation
🎵  Setting Powder: KimChi Chic Beauty Puff Puff Pass Set and Bake Powder - perhaps not a musical artist who might be nominated for a Grammy or AMA award but she's a performer

22 - Musician - Eyes.jpg

EYES:

🎵  Primer: Choice between R.E.M. Starlet Matte Liquid Eyeshadow (NVM)* and Victoria Beckham Beauty Eyewear Eyeshadow Sticks (Trench)

🎶  Eyeshadow:  GXVE BY GWEN STEFANI Eye See in Color Clean Multidimensional Eyeshadow Palette Simple Kind Of Life , simple but on my skin tone the shades serve as a nice base or veeeery light wash of color) and Victoria Beckham Beauty Eyewear Eyeshadow Sticks (Caramel) to add more depth

🎼  Eyebrows: Victoria Beckham Beauty Babyblade Eyebrow Pencil (Taupe) - I have fuller brows and taupe shades are good for filling in the sparser spaces without making my brows look super done up

🎹  Eye Liner: HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Clear Cut Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Black Onyx  and on certain days with an extra line with  SEPHORA COLLECTION Sephora Colorful® Waterproof Eyeshadow & Eyeliner Multi-Stick 16 Army Green Matte  a la Victoria Monet's look on the docuseries Faces of Music

🎸 Mascara: Choice of   HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA B Structural Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara Black Onyx  and Gireatick 4D Silk Fiber Maascara

22 - Musician - Cheeks.jpg

CHEEKS:

🎼  Blush: Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Mini Soft Pinch Liquid Blush Hope

🎤  Blush/Bronzer: HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Color Fuse Longwear Hydrating Glassy Lip + Cheek Blush Balm Stick Glassy Clove

🎵  Bronzer / Contour: Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez Warm Wishes Effortless Cream Bronzer Stick

🎙  Highlighter:  Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Diamond Bomb All-Over Diamond Veil How Many Carats?!  (gratis) and if/when I need a more dialed down glow, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter Mean Money/Hu$tla Baby

22 - Musician - Lips.jpg

LIPS:

🎧  Primer: about-face Lip Fix Lip Primer

🎙  Lip Liner & Lip Gloss: Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Chocolate Cherriez 2-Piece Lip Set + Pouch

🎷  Lipstick: Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shine Gloss Stick N-10 - C U in Maui

🎹  Lip Balm: about-face Cherry Pick Lip Color Butter (Pink Pina)

Here's the color I get when I blend the liner, lipstick, lip balm and lip gloss together:

22 - swatch 2.jpg

These lip products all work very well together; in fact, for a couple of them, they wear better together than on their own. I can make the color more sparkly with C U in Maui. More creamy and pink with Pink Pina, and more glossy and of a red velvet brownie dark red cherry hue with the Fenty liner and gloss.

The "Fits":

Possibly my favorite part of this capsule is the fits! Shout out to @danielledanielle for bringing to our attention the collection containing the  Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Chocolate Cherriez 2-Piece Lip Set + Pouch  - it'll take me a while to get through that liner and gloss but I wouldn't mind seeing both as a permanent part of the Fenty line.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@itsfi, took me a sec to realize that was the inside of the bag, that's such a good pic/shot!

This whole capsule is, shall I say, harmonious 🎶🎵

Cherry Amour ❤️ I love that gloss bomb.  They haven't really done a red, there's MVP, and some of the cream, but I consider those berries vs red.  I wouldn't be surprised if it came back at least once 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Thanks so much @danielledanielle. I had another photo that would have slotted between the up close shot and the full shot of the bag that had I included it, would have made the connection more clear. Ahhh, I'll take harmonious; that's a lovely compliment, thank you. I had fun with this week's theme, though I took a slightly different approach to putting all the pieces together.

22 - Musician - Fits 1.jpg

I would love to see this gloss bomb come back; it really is such a beautiful shade. I ffeel like it and Ami Cole Romance lip oil are deeper reds that work for me - though I am excited to see Ami Cole's new color, Victory.

RECAP - Week 21 The Vacay Makeup Capsule

I've been doing most of my recaps of the previous week's capsule products in my post for the current week's capsule, mainly because I haven't had many products that I've decluttered this year, but also for time and ease of convenience. The former I suspect may be because (or I like to tell myself it is because) I did a significant bit of decluttering with last year's capsules and I'm being much more (muuuuuch more) highly selective when it comes to my beauty spend - well, I am as far as everything but fragrance and sunscreen this year 🙄 but that latter one is fine as I tend to go through them. That said, the recap from this past week feels like it warrants its own post.

The prompt for last week's capsule focused on one or more products that were vacation / travel-worthy, and I used it as an opportunity to test a small handful of products to see if they would, in fact, be something I'd like to take with me (and would take with me) on my next trip. It was, my all accounts, a rather minimalist capsule and compared to my experience with overpacking for my last trip, it was a very streamlined group of beauties. I did test out other makeup not included in last week's capsule - I had made some purchases so it was all for science, I tell you! 😉😂 [Oh, and @ather, I put Tower 28 Beauty OneLiner Lip Liner + Eyeliner + Cheek Pencil Draw Me  to the test as an eyeliner, and so far, so good! 👍 Testing it out as an eyeshadow today and want to give it a try as a bronzer so I'll have more thoughts over the next week / week-and-a-half.]

Here are the results from last week's vacay makeup capsule. First, the standouts, and the items I will be taking with me on my next vacation.

Week 21 Recap.jpg

Dr. Jart+ Mini Cicapair Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 15 mL/ .50 fl oz  is a tried-and-true product for me.  It's great for concealing redness and works beautifully on its own or as a primer. There are days when I just apply this over my sunscreen, curl my lashes, and swipe on a lip balm, and I'm out the door. I really like the line and it's great the brand has products that provide similar results in different formulations, making it likely that there's something for most everyone.

ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Mini Secure The Sweat Waterproof Mattifying Primer 0.33 oz / 10 mL  does what it says. There was only one day when it was warmer, and slightly humid which is not typical here this time of year, and this held up quite nicely. Interested to see how this will hold up in a warmer climate.

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Skin Face Essentials – Longwear Full Face Cream Palette  really helps to cut down what I bring with me as it gives me so many uses - base makeup, blush, highlight, bronzer, contour. I can also customize my base shade too, which may come in handy.

Tower 28 Beauty SunnyDays SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation  is a year-round GOAT 🐐 product for me. It's more of a skin-tint-plus when it comes to coverage which is what I need 99.9999999% of the time.

Dior Forever Natural Velvet Transfer-Proof Compact Foundation is great on its own or to set my makeup. It has more coverage than my other loved non-translucent powder (Sephora Collection Microsmooth Powder). I typically bring this powder with me in the palette it is a part of, but ...

... after putting my MacGyver skills to the test (that safety pin sure came in handy 😅), I removed the powder from the palette, and with very little damage to it and the palette 🙌

Week 21 Declutter.jpg

The powder has really been the item I use when I reach for the Dior Fall/Winter Ready-To-Wear Palette so I'm keeping the powder and decluttering what remains of the palette. While the blush makes a nice topper, I have more than my fair share of blushersm and this one, like a couple of the eyeshadows here have developed hardpan. Can I fix that? Sure. Probably. But it doesn't feel like it would be worth the effort based on how old it is and how little I use all but the powder. The glosses I have used when I reach for this palette but that is more to get the most wear out of the palette as I can. The shades have also become grittier over the last month or so, and the sparkle/glitter in them is showing up more than I prefer (and more than I thought was in the glosses themselves to begin with). So, the pressed powder foundation aside, it's time to go our separate ways. 👋

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@itsfi I think I have that same Make Up For Ever palette, but I've been bad about using it consistently. I can see how it would work nicely on vacation, but I haven't been traveling much lately. In terms of base makeup, does it work pretty nicely as a foundation or even a concealer? I think I've mainly just used the blush and bronzer shades. I probably need to start using it more frequently, as I'm not sure how long it will keep given it's a cream product.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@PrettyPaint, it's an easy palette to use for every day looks as well as convenient for travel, especially if there's a base shade that can work for you. I've had a lot more redness of late around my nose, so I need an additional concealer OR I can use the shades in the palette for concealer if I have something like the Tower 28 SunnyDays or the MILK skin tint. When I don't have a rosacea flare up, I can use the palette to even tone and to conceal redness. I love how easy it is to use and portable it is - I've popped it in my handbag a few times to use it after I've parked my car before heading into wherever it is I'm going.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

🙌🏽On depot/declutter.  That's a good, reasonable assessment @itsfi

Dr. Jart+ Mini Cicapair™ Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment 0.5 oz/ 15 mL is so good.  I get redness occasionally from a breakout, and this is that wunderkind product. It's a color corrector, it's sunscreen, it's a calming treatment.  I feel like I need it on deck at all times, 😂

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

This one hurt a bit to declutter @danielledanielle, but it's the right decision. Yeah, the Dr. Jart Cicapair Treatment is an all time fave. Allergies hit hard this year and there's been days when it's just moisturizer, sunblock, the Dr. Jart, curl my lashes, and add some color on my lips. *spoiler* - a jar will be making an appearance in this month's empties. 😮 That's been a looooooong time coming.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Summer is (almost officially) upon us and with the longer days and warmer temperatures can come changes in our choices for clothes, skincre, hair and makeup. For that last one, we have some fun prompts to help put some of our beauties to use - the tried-and-true and the new-to-you makeup items (and everything in between)th at have been sitting in our drawers, bins, makeup bags, etc. It's time to pull them out to see whether they're part of your summer squad. And, who knows?! Maybe we'll find some hidden gems along the way that stick around long after summer.

🌈  Week 23 (June 2 - 8 ) - The Love Is Love Makeup Capsule - This week's prompt is inspired by Pride month and the Danessa Myricks Beauty Love is Love All Over Face Palette  (gratis) (that I'm going to try to put to use this week 🤞), curate a capsule containing one or more products that are from LGBTQ+ founded / owned makeup brand(s).
Spoiler
Below is a non-exhaustive list of LGBTQ+ founded/owned brands with primarily makeup offerings. Credit for most of the brands in this list are from 2024 articles from Allure and Byrdie. Brands with an asterisk (*) beside their names are available at Sephora and/or Sephora at Kohl's. To the extent the founder(s)/owner(s) are not readily discernible by the brand name, their name(s) will appear in (parens). If there are brands that should be included, please let me know.

🛍  Week 24 (June 9 - 15) - The Sleeping Beauties Makeup Capsule and/or The "Shop My Stash Makeup Capsule - Time to shop your stash! Look through your makeup beauties and choose one or more product(s) that haven't gotten as much love or attention, items that have been "sleeping" in your drawers, bins, makeup bag, etc. You never know what gem(s) you might find or rediscover. The product(s) for this week capsule can include full size, deluxe size or foil samples in your stash. Summer is a good time to revisit the beauties in your stash. If you finish up a foil sample or two with your products this week, let us know what you thought of the item here and/or on theFoil Challenge  thread.

This theme resonates with me a lot as I've been trying to work my way through the products in my collection, and decide whether it's something I'll use and is worth keeping or if it's time to let it go (donate, gift or toss). I suspect I may find a product or two in the process that I'll want to make part of the Shop Your Stash Challenge: The Summer Edition.

🏖  Week 25 (June 16 - 22) - The "Welcome, Summer!" Makeup Capsule - The official start of summer this year is June 20 and to kick it off, show us one or more of the makeup beauties that you'll being using for your hot girl (or guy) summer look! AND, be sure to check back later for a crossover prompt that will be an additional part of this week's summer slay theme.

Week 26 (June 23 - 29) - The "My Best Self" Makeup Capsule This week's capsule finds inspiration in a few sources. Feel free to draw from any of these as you put together a makeup capsule with one or more products that make you feel like the best version of your current self (because we are always changing, growing, and getting better!)

Self-Care Month starts on June 24 and shines a spotlight on the importance of self care, with a focus of encouraging all to take/make time to focus on our well-being, undertaking activities that help us to feel better, mentally, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and in our homes, workplaces, etc. There are a host of ways to curate a capsule this week, including:

💄  Self Expression - If makeup is a form of self expression or self-care, show us the go to product / products that express who you are and/or holds a special self-care meaning for you. If you're comfortable sharing your look, consider posting to the Gallery or What are you wearing in 2025??

🎶  Song and Slay - Curate a capsule with one or more makeup products inspired by a song. It can be a song that reminds you of summer, a makeup look worn by your favorite musical artist, and/or a look inspired by the theme(s) for the summer cheek challenge (coming soon). Speaking of song, if there's an artist or song(s) you're listening to and loving this summer, let us know at the 🎶Song of the Day and Music Thread!🎶

😎  Your Sizzling Signature Summer Style - Are there products you reach for during these longer, warmer days? Some tried and true favorites for a 'no-makeup' makeup look. Or, beauties that give you that bronzed goddess glow? Pull 'em out for a capsule that captures your sizzling signature summer style! If you have a fab outfit to go with your summer makeup look, stop on by the The Fit, The Fab and The Face: Outfit and Inspo Thread and show us your outfit of the day!

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Week 22 - Ahhhh, this is such a you capsule as well, @danielledanielleFenty at The BIC: The Capsule Challenge Edit - gotta buy tix to the next performance. 🎟

How are you liking the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna You Mist Makeup-Extending Setting Spray 3.4 oz / 100 mL now that you've had more time with it? I was chatting with a makeup artist who was raving about it.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

@itsfi, it's not a love. I also think it's now on the list of things that break me out when used sequentially.

Pros: Not drying, nice light mist, in daylight... Awesome finish.

Can be used to set shadows or highlighters that are baked for all day crazy glow

Cons: the potential break out part aside... a really powdery finish.  One of the things I don't like about Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Soft’Lit Naturally Luminous Hydrating Longwear Foundation 498 is the finish.   It's powdery on me, so using these two together was interesting...up close it emphasized my pores, but if I step away from a mirror, I have a soft focus finish.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

lol, TSA compliant couture. I spy some mutual loves and a lot of eye candy in your Week 21 goodies. It makes me smile to see your DM family of shadows here. ❤️

Squeeeee!!! Flatlays on the Fly 😍. Flyyyyy those flatlays are, miss @danielledanielle. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 In case it’s unclear, I’m really happy to see that pic. 📸 It’s so pleasing to look at - the layout, the lighting, the spacing, the angles, the overall look & feel … Nicely done. 👏👏👏

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Thank yoooooouuuuuu 🙏🏽 @itsfi

The bathroom had fab lighting, so of course unpacking time became shelfie time 😂

The DM freedom palette style really is a travel friendly item.  Since I stacked all 4, it didn't fit in the little pouch, but I've definitely used the pouch for work/touch ups.

Re: Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025

Ohhhhh, my, my, my, just look at that group of beauties for Week 20👀 You are fancy, @danielledanielle! Love the underlying tie-ins to the AAPI founded/owned and black dandyism themes for the week and month. Based on how they’re groupedin the photos, are the Patrick Ta items a highlighter duo and a blush duo?

I love that Sephora lipstick bag, there were so many fun ones when they were available. Ahhh, Chris Collins. Always makes me nostalgic when I see his fragrances.

I really enjoyed seeing and taking part in the Tailored For You Week. The capsules and challenges inspired by The Met Gala continues to be among my faves. I’m adding The Met to my list of places to spend a day the next time I’m in NYC. ❤️

Week 21 - The Vacation Makeup Capsule

My last trip was an epic fail as far as packing lightly goes. 🙄 So, I'm using this week to audition this group of beauties for a future trip. A "take 2" in that regard.

The MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Skin Face Essentials – Longwear Full Face Cream Palette   will be the main star of this week's capsule. Everything else is its understudy or playing a supporting role. I'll be able to do my base, blush, bronzer, contour, highlight and lips with this palette. I'm including Tower 28 Beauty SunnyDays SPF 30 Tinted Sunscreen Foundation  (🐐) for no fuss, no muss days when it's just that over my cheeks to conceal redness and even tone, along with one of the glosses from the Dior palette on my lips and the Tower 28 lash curler (🐐) to make me look more alert and awake.

The main focus for this week is to test out the ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Secure The Sweat Waterproof Mattifying Primer 1 oz / 30 g  and to see how the Laneige Neo Blurring Powder performs as a touch up powder throughout the day. I added the Dr. Jart+ Mini Cicapair Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 15 mL/ .50 fl oz  in case the redness I had been experiencing early this month and last continues.

I have a few options for lip color this week, a la the multi-functioning shades in the MUFE palette and the glosses in the Dior, along with these lip liners -

💋  Exa All Smiles Bare Lip Liner (Bare Your Hopes) is a light brown with just the slightest hint of rosiness. This liner is supposed to be waterproof. We shall see about that. Will report back, BIC Science Team! 🔬

💋  Givenchy Lip Liner 9 Moka Renversant  is one of my favorite liners. It also claims to be waterproof but I don't think I've actually put this deeper brown shade to such a test before.

💋  Victoria Beckham Beauty Lip Liner (shade 03), is a neutral-toned pinky mauve hue that is one of the best matches in my collection for my lips.

The "Fits":

Everything fits in this pouch, with room to spare should I want to add one or two more items. Nooooo, don't do it, Fi! Focus!!! 😂 I like this makeup bag for travel because the bottom compartment can be used to hold brushes, which I was able to pare down to 4 this time.

RECAP: Week 20 - The Tailored For You Makeup Capsule
I had larger than typical capsule last week for the "Tailored For You" theme, with several of the products having appeared in many previous capsules, and am focusing this recap on the newer to me products.
Week 20 Recap.jpg
HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Color Fuse Longwear Hydrating Glassy Lip + Cheek Blush Balm Stick Glassy Clove  is part of the 4 new shades added to the existing blush line. Same easy to apply, gel-cream formulation. The new shades are touted as being a blush and bronzer in one and that they are. Glossy Clove is a brown with red undertones is great on my skin tone for blonzer. All the colors are nice and I can see myself picking up another shade (or two), which is saying a lot as I'm trying to stick to a no-spend/low buy

I only used KimChi Chic Beauty Puff Puff Pass Set & Bake Powder - 01 Ivander once last week - that is entirely my fault as I just got in the habit of using setting sprays. When I did remember to give this a try, it worked quite beautifully at keeping the oils at bay and my makeup in place around my nose - one of the areas that is the first to see my makeup disappear. I'll have to play with it more but first impressions are good.

A similar product is the ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr Ultimate Blurring Setting Powder . I used this along my jawline and to set the skin tint I brought down my neck - I was wearing a cream colored jacket that day and didn't want any makeup to transfer onto it. It didn't, but I did spill coffee on it. 😑

Anna Sui Gel Foundation Primer has a unique consistency - it goes on as a gel and transforms into a liquid feel as you apply it across the skin. It also has a gel texture in the jar that actually bounces back to its original shape - in that regard, it reminds me of the Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask I used years ago.

All the newbies from last week capsule performed well enough to stay in my collection. The setting powders will probably see more use as the weather warms up and my skin leans more oily. The Haus Labs blonzer is definitely one that needs to be set as well so there's a combo in the making.
