BIC is the place to talk about beauty!  There are lots of fun threads, from mask to makeup (and even photo A Year of Beauty- Photography Challenge ) challenges all the way to pet paradise.  In my early days, I kinda wanted to talk to everyone, but I didn't know what to talk about, I just knew I loved makeup and had found my people.

With threads like Monthly Favorites: May 2025 Edition! Community Favorite Concealers: Tag your Holy Grails!  , Beauty Pet Peeves 2 I feel the most comfortable when chiming in because I can talk about makeup.  I figured, hey, let's open up some discourse amongst ourselves; a thread with getting to know you questions could be kind of fun.  (And, I still get to talk about makeup.)

Okay @danielledanielle, I think I've come up with something here ... 💡

If you were to teach a class (or curricula if you will) at BIC, what would it be?

📚  Sheet Masks Around The World: A Comparative Study   

Ideally, this would include a tour of facility to see how sheet masks are made.(And yes, I would want to teach this class because I feel like my preparation for it would necessarily involve trips to different parts of the world to compare sheet masks, how they are made, etc.)

📷  Flat Lays: How to Set Up a Flat Lay Using Everyday Things Around The House  

In my mind, I see this as an interactive, seminar style class - a very small group (at least to begin with), with a couple of guest lecturers during the quarter / trimester / semester. This session includes lab work. 🔬

Your Sephora Doctorate is in ________

Ummmm, I'll need to get some guidance from my Academic Advisor to map this one out. 🤔 I suggest we discuss it  while shopping. 🛍 It may take multiple shopping trips for me to figure out a good fit here.

Also, 🙋🏾‍♀️I will humbly act as your advisor when you're in town since you have elected shopping as a part of your practicum.

@danielledanielle, I feel like shopping is one of those things where practice makes perfect so we should always keep trying (says the one currently on a no buy) 😆 We can grab coffee before or after shopping, because the art and science of coffee is also something with exploring. 😉

Maybe... "The Art of Hair Straightening: How to Do It Right." I've done flat irons, chemical straightening, blow-drying, Airstraight-ing (turning that into a verb, Dyson!), etc. I've gone from black to blonde (with breakage) and back and have lived to tell the tale! I've definitely learned the hard way about taking care of my hair - but I guess that's how you really learn. 😅

@CorgiMommy, I don't think a natural look is boring.  It's not my default look TBH, but there's literally a whole aesthetic "no makeup makeup" for it, so clearly you're 👍🏽👍🏽

Hmmmm, if Sephora did a collab with me, it would either be some sort of excessive volume mascara, or possibly a cream version of the SEPHORA COLLECTION Sephora Colorful® Blush . I like the powder formula, but have been really drawn to cream blushes lately. The ROSE INC Cream Blush Refillable Cheek & Lip Color is the consistency im looking for here.

I’m not sure what i would call my current makeup aesthetic… maybe glossy? I’m living for lip liner with a glossy lip, and dewy blushes and highlight. Maybe “fake it till you make it fresh face” is the best way to describe it haha
