Magarita called me about Nude Dip. She was all excited. I told her "I already had Nude Dip but if you have the new matte, I will swing by". So I picked up both mattes. Violet Orchid will be my favorite for sure. It is so creamy.

I asked her to look into TF L&B in Richard for me. I feel like I really badly need it now. This is my way of not feeling as guilty about getting that shade, since it's cheaper than Negligee 😄

The best thing about this collection is how effortless it is to look polished. I am pretty lazy and rather press the snooze button in the morning than get up to spend a lot of time on my make up. Most days, I'll go into work with only sunscreen and moisturizer on and then do my make up during my morning break. That means that I really love and need products that are easy to apply. 

Today I used only 5 products besides sunscreen and moisturizer:

eyebrow pencil, pink sand blush, skinny dip lipstick, black oyster and Marc Jacobs black gel liner. I would have put some mascara but forgot to. lol

Black Oyster: I love how easy it is to get a smoky eye with this! I applied and blended most of it out with my fingers and softened the edges with a brush a bit. This barely took me 3 min for both eyes! The sparkles are gorgeous! I forgot to wear eye primer today so I did find a tiny bit of creasing after 6 hours. 

I think with practice I'll get the hang of using cream shadows and get both eyes looking a bit more the same. 

Skinny Dip: I love how this lipstick feels and looks and see both this and RS on heavy rotation this summer. I didn't have time to exfoliate my lips like usual this morning so t did settle a bit in the dry areas--but that's my fault for wanting to sleep in instead lol

Pink Sand: I love this even more today. It glides on easily with or without a base. It looks super natural, just like you have a healthy flush when you wear it without foundation.

You look absolutely beautiful, and I agree with you that Pink Sand is incredibly easy to blend for a cream blush - even I can manage it! 😉

Yay, I love Black Oyster. With primers, it lasts more than 14 hrs on me. I love TF cream eyeshadows 🙂 You look lovely as always Kate 😉

Hehe, you know I wear it from 7am for work and then get home around 8pm. Sometimes I got so tired, I just crashed and worry about wash my face in the morning. Lol I'm the worst

A long time ago Benefit had a cream eyeshadow pot called Strut.  I loved it as it was a one minute smoky eye.  Black Oyster reminds me so much of it (although the powder is more silver).

kate, I never wore eye shadow very often to begin with.  But I almost completely stopped while ago.  I tossed Strut a couple of years ago (it started to dry out with time).  I think it is discontinued now.

A year or two ago I donated all my eye shadows to my friend and her college age daughter.  I had several new ones...but I just never use eye shadow often enough.  It felt wrong hoarding it....

Today I tried a few of my new items even though it didn't really match what I was wearing. Was too excited to try it. I also tried a new foundation but it doesn't really match me so please don't mind that. 

Pink Sand cream blush: This is a beautiful blush. It gives an innocent pink colour with a hint of golden sheen to my skin, is buildable and fool proof. It didn't enhance my pores at all and had no problems with it setting. I will be backing this up. I will be trying this without foundation soon as I don't usually wear any during the warmer months. With foundation underneath this has lasted at least 8 hrs but with slight fading. But I didn't apply very much to begin with. 

Golden Peach cream eye duo: I haven't used cream eyeshadows before on myself so unsure of correct application technique but I think I still achieved a good enough look buy just spreading a bit of it over my lids and pressing the shimmer on top. I got many compliments on how gorgeous the eyeshadow and shimmer was today. I think this will last me a long time as only the tiniest amount is needed. It is really hard to capture the shimmer of the eyeshadow in the photos so you don't get the full effect as you do in person. I've had it on for 8 hours and there is no fading or creasing. I did use Marc Jacobs Black gel liner to tight line and line my eyes for more definition like MeganLisa recommended. The liner transferred onto my lids a bit, but that was my mistake as I probably didn't let the liner set long enough. 

Rose Soleil lip sheer: If you like sheer lipsticks, you need this one. The golden shimmer mixed with this  makes it really complex/unique. It may look dark in the bullet but it isn't dark at all. It's got a berry/plum colour that changes depending on the light that hits it. This left a slight stain after I ate lunch but I did have to reapply after 3-3.5 hours of wear.  Love this one too so I will be backing this one up.
