i think my undertones help mute it some, as looking at your Jane vs mine, Jane looks much peachier on you than it does on me 😊

Oh I love Mona on you. This is how I thought it was but then I saw T's post and it looked red so I passed. Is it more orange brown irl?  I wanted it to be along the lines of Jane bc I love that shade

I was also confused by T's post after I tried this on, because it looks nowhere near as dark on me as it does on her.

I would say it is like a reddish brown Jane, same sort of muted intensity if you know what I mean?  I have to sit down and compare but I think it's somewhere between Jane, VIP Red and Banned Red.

I think I might have to try it. Nars has free returns I believe too. I don't do reds, too time consuming and a lot less forgiving lol. Her swatches always throw me off so I can never go solely by them

Wow! Mona looks much different on you than I would imagine.  Still gorgeous though! Reminds me of a darker version of KVD's Lolita II.

Me too @sabrinas!  I bought it on a whim (only wanted Kate) and totally expected it was going to be a basic red, but it looks more like a red/brown version of Jane to me.  

I'm pleasantly surprised by it!

I just discovered the Lip Covers and wish Nars would release more colours even though it's a limited edition formula!! I got Get Dirty, which is such a pretty peach nude, as light as I can go without looking ridiculous. It applies like butter and feels like nothing! I want more!

I've been curious about the lip covers for a while now. What is the texture like? Is it glossy? And what's the staying power? The peach shade you're describing sounds like something I'm going to need lol! Thanks in advance!

It dries down to a satin finish, not glossy since it's meant to wear like a lipstick and not a gloss.

Also: darker lipsticks work better as nudes for me because I have naturally very dark lips 🙂 So what I might call "nude" might not be light enough to be called nude on others!

Agree with sabrinas, they are like a cream lipstick in liquid form.

They transfer a lot, yet I still find them decently long-wearing.

They are very creamy, and  there is a slight glossy effect but not really, they look more like a creamy/satin finish lipstick when on the lips.  Staying power is meh, not too long especially if you will be eating/drinking stuff.

For how comfortable the formula is, I really don't mind the staying power. It's lasted through coffee, water and a bagel so far. I don't mind reapplying lipstick, ever.
