Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
You’re welcome @itsfi! Let me know how it goes if you make a batch. 😊
My mom used to made something similar when we grow up. She put some pork’s in as well @JoSometimes
@blackkitty2014 That sounds good. I may need to give that a try next time I make some.
Oooh yum I have heard of these @JoSometimes I never made them thou. (I was looking at ways to make ramen more interesting 😉 and they popped up) Your experiment makes me want to give it a try. This looks delicious 😀
@CynthieLu I do fancy instant ramen on days when I either have leftovers to get rid of or if I forgot to defrost something the night before. Sometimes I’ll add an egg if I want to add a quick and easy protein. This was corn, spinach, leftover dumplings, and miso (which is mixed into the broth).
Ohhhhh yummy @JoSometimes 🤩
These are two recent ones, it's just on a bed of spinach with some sausages and crispy onion
This one is just sautéed bok choy, peppers and mushrooms with a random raw tomato lol
Dumplings, that's the way to go! Love it 😁
@JoSometimes those eggs sound so good! And it sounds like they were pretty easy to make, too, which is always a bonus.
@CookieGirl1The hardest part is just getting the timing right if you want soft or medium boiled eggs. And they can last a couple days in the fridge, so you can make a few and eat them whenever you feel hungry.
@JoSometimes Excellent meal idea! I lke your marinade. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks @Mellmars1185! They turned out really good. Definitely a change from typical boiled eggs.
OK, clearly I've been living under a rock because I had no idea that you could buy chalupa shells! Could I make them myself? Sure. But it was easy to just grab a package to make chalupas for a quick dinner.
Wait we can buy this @CookieGirl1 ? I’m living under the rock as well 😂🤣
@blackkitty2014 I'm glad that someone else was oblivious! 😂
@CookieGirl1 Excellent meal idea. Sometimes it is nice to have some store bought items around the home to make our lives easier 💕
Wow! I did not know you could buy those in store. Looks delicious @CookieGirl1
@JoSometimes I didn't know either! TBH they actually look pretty easy to make (because then I had to look up a recipe for them since I was curious) but it was a perfect lazy-night meal to just buy the pack of them and have them ready to use.
Fajitas last night. We got the meat and butter tortillas at a local Mexican grocery store, they have the BEST marinated fajita meat! My contribution to the dinner was the guac and rice
That guacamole looks so yummy @AznAngelLiz. 😋 I love guacamole. 💚🥑 Everything here looks delicious! Will have to add fajitas to the list of dinner options for the week. Yum!!!
