welcome back to the junk drawer of random beauty thoughts and musings. it has been nearly a year, so i think it is time for a rew RT thread ! 

when i'm doing my makeup in the morning, my dog sometimes throws a fit until i move his food bowl over to where i'm sitting. i'm certainly not the diva in our relationship.

I bought the discovery set from this brand during last holidays. So far I haven't had the chance to try any of the products in it. Happens when you buy too much stuff 🙁

If it makes you feel any better, I've barely touched half the stuff I picked up in Korea last year.  I've got things in a cue.

It IS! That squarish lid comes off, then I have to unscrew the round lid. I tried to get the circular container out (the square container would make a good container for...something??) but couldn't.

The mask comes with a spatula which fits nicely in between the 2 lids!

My employer unblocked sephora.com today. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Yay! My boss (many years ago) used to say search whatever you want but porn. She was clear about the porn. Walked in on a co-worker watching the Kim Kardashian + Ray J video. I never told on him, but my point is those computers could pull up anything. I cannot even imagine working for places that block Sephora.

It was blocked due to being flagged as "shopping." But Macy's, Nordstrom, Barney's, Saks, Ulta, etc... none of them were blocked!

Blocking people's computer access to things wouldn't fly so well with our company.   It would come across as a challenge mission.

I got a sample of UD one & done the other day and i finally tried it out - ITS AWESOME! I want to purchase the full size bottle of this magical stuff. I normally don't wear any base on my face - i even find the NARS tinted moisturizer a little heavy on my skin but this stuff is AWESOME. 

I have combo skin leaning more towards oily and i found that this stuff kept my oiliness at bay. In love 🙂

I love hearing this!  I wanted to try this a while ago because I heard people liked it, but then I quickly heard it was overrated and I felt like I had whiplash from the changing opinions!!  haha I'm going to check it out in the store some time.  I'm really curious...

I am wearing the Dior Nude Air Serum foundation today, which has a distinct floral and strong fragrance. It doesn't bother me and fades fairly quickly once applied, but I was still getting gentle whiffs of it early this morning.

When I walked into my floor at the office, I got a huge whiff of it. There's a man on my team who really likes to load up on strong (and sometimes fairly offensive cologne). I keep getting strong whiffs of it while I'm sitting in my office--I'm pretty certain he's wearing a similar cologne (a Dior as well, perhaps??)

I get a certain little feeling of glee when I can recognize and properly guess someone's perfume.

spent a while looking for my beauty blender to clean it...only to find my almost 2yr old son sitting behind the door and pouncing it on his cheeks, looking in the mirror and dabbing some more..

Not sure this is a good way to make a first impression, but here's a funny story.

When I was waxing my kid's eyebrows, I remembered the last time I used wax on myself.

My husband correctly assumed, "You read about this on the internet, didn't you?"

I had read how someone waxed the insides of their nostrils to clean out the nose hairs.  Sounded like a plan.

Except, I did both nostrils at one time, really packing the wax in.

I had a panic attack because I couldn't breathe, and there was so much wax in each nostril I couldn't find a piece to pinch and remove it.

I had to remove the wax, tiny piece by tiny piece, however much I could chip away with my tweezers.

I really don't recommend this method.

Omg!   The imagery!!!! 😂😂😂😂. I'm pretty sure we've all done something equally as embarrassing at some point.
