Welcome to Year 7 of our Pan It! Challenge 

The "Rules"

To accommodate a variety of interests, you all are encouraged to pick items to pan that are most suitable to your collections.  For some, this might mean focusing on a particular type of product (like lipstick) and for others this may include a larger variety spanning your entire makeup or skincare routine.

Getting Started (please share the following)

• Which item(s) you would like to work on
• How long you will work on said item
• Goal: explore a new item, revisit an old item, decide whether to keep pass or trash, and/or completely finish item, etc.
• Starting photo of item

Please Use This Thread To...

• share what item(s) you are working on,
• provide comparative progress photos of your item(s) monthly (at the beginning of the month when possible),
• ask questions,
• encourage others,
• motivate others with the looks you create with your item(s)

Tips and Tricks to Panning/Getting Some Use Out of Your Stash:

• Take photos!!  When you think you aren’t making a dent in anything look back at those photos, I’m certain you’ll see some changes 😃 *this is the number one recommendation for everyone, regardless of how long you’ve been panning! Those photos add up and can help you realize progress you might otherwise overlook.
• If you goal is to hit pan or use something up entirely, try concentrating your brush/applicator in the same area each time you use it
• Multitask your products: eyeshadows as highlighter, lipstick as blush, eyeshadow as brow powder, etc. 
• Layer eyeshadow to create different colors (this is especially helpful to get use out of shades you’re not fond of).
• Have shadows with a ton of fall out?  Use water
• Watching the progress of others’ can be fun but try not compare your progress to theirs.  We all use our makeup differently and have different goals.
• Don’t restrict yourself to only using the item(s) you are working on.  It’s more than OK to incorporate other items or take a break!
• Makeup should be fun….if you begin to dread doing your makeup because you made a commitment to use a product that you now hate, TOSS IT!  Do not force yourself to use up something you don’t like.  Move on to something else!  (This includes excluding particular shades from your goals if focusing on palettes, etc.)

 Ideas to Help You Pan Those Items:

• Roll the dice: number your items and use a random number generator to pick what you will use each (day/week/month/etc.) 
• Layer/Mask: items you are less fond of under things you like
• Pan a Look: at the beginning of the week pick a look that you can wear everyday
• Recreate: a look worn by a fellow BICer, celebrity, etc.
• Spice up an "everyday" look by adding subtle pops of color (in the crease or on the lower lash line, mix lip products to make shades wearable, etc.)

Excellent call on repurposing that Origins mask @missjeanie. You are so close to being D-O-N-E with that Vaseline body lotion - I'm invested in you getting through with that one. You've been so diligent with it and so dedicated and determined to working through it - impressive. I will jump up and down with joy when you report that it has been fully panned! It's a question of when, not if. You got this! 👊

Yes, yes, yesssss!! to hitting pan on that second shade in the GXVE quad. You are on a roll!

@itsfi  I was hoping to finish the Vaseline lotion this month but I was away more than anticipated this month and no way was that sucker coming along lol!

I've been trying to vet the same effect this month but omg June gloom must really be a thing because the sun just does not want to join us...

Where am I, SEATTLE???

I would like to incorporate more makeup items on here but I haven't gone through my collection yet, so maybe this weekend, I'll provide some additional items 🙃

• Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte’s Magic Serum with Vitamin C has anyone tried this? This worked OK but it smelled like... swimming pool water? (I forgot to take a picture before I recycled it at sephora...)
• TULA Skincare Brightening Treatment Drops Triple Vitamin C Serum 1 oz / 30 ml 
• amika Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo

Thank you @itsfi 🥰 I think you'll definitely be seeing some OG stuff that I loved but stopped reaching for 😂😂😂 we will be marching the nostalgia road in June/July ahhaha

@jaaayp  Great job!! Wow you did some serious damage to the Ouai oil!!! What are your thoughts on the Tula vitamin c??

I actually really liked it @ather !!! I got it half off and I honestly want to say it's comparable to Drunk Elephant C-Firma Fresh Vitamin-C Day Serum .94 oz/ 28 mL (it smells exactly the same). I noticed significant fading of the scars towards half way mark of the bottle and was quite pleased! I'm going to be picking up the EADEM Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum with Niacinamide and Vitamin C 1 oz/ 30 mL next but may repurchase the tula if half off comes up again 🤔

I did do a lot of damage on the Ouai scalp... but not sure if I'm noticing any difference?!?!?!

@jaaayp  Oooo that’s awesome to hear!! @itsfi  Loves the EADEM Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum with Niacinamide and Vitamin C 1 oz/ 30 mL  and raves about it. I can’t wait to hear the comparison between the Tula and the Eadem!! 

Hmmm no results after using the Ouai oil either. That’s interesting!!! 🤨

Excellent progress @jaaayp !! I’ll be curious to see which make up items you choose to pan! I always find makeup so much harder than other products!

Thank you @missjeanie and omg! I know!!! I was looking through my makeup couple days ago trying to decide and get started and I haven't chosen anything except the HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation with Fermented Arnica 100 Light... and that's because I bought some new loves and I don't want this bottle to go to waste.

I think Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Powder Bronzer Hoola will be one. I have a brand new one that hasn't been open yet and I really should use up the 10% left so I can start fresh! 

Otherwise.. not sure. Any suggestions? 🤔
