Thanks @Sunnysmom ! Yeah, that’s what I did and will continue to do in this thread: wear and declutter as I go. In fact, I might retest some of the keepers in my running list because all my Bite crayons and MUFE liquid mattes might be goners now, and I see one Huda demi-matte I was on the fence about keeping. But yes, it’s a good approach to take! I wish I could do this by brand, but I don’t keep my full size bullets arranged that way; I arrange them by color instead, so my brain short circuits when I try to wear just one brand’s lipsticks for a week/month/whatever. (If I did that with Pat McGrath, it’d take around 80 days to complete unless I wore 2+ lipsticks a day. 😅) What I should do is start going through all my reds, since I never thinned them out last time (except for oxbloods)… I keep calling it The Reckoning of Reds. ANYWAY, congrats on your declutters so far! 👍 I know that had to be hard for you. I feel you! Just gotta hold ourselves to a “1 in, [3 or more] out” type of rule now. I was hoping Witch Princess would be more purple on me… you know how much I love purples. But I’m still very pleased with it. If the silver bits transfer around your face, think of it as randomly placed pin points of light. @nicolexmartin @I had the same thing happen years ago with a Ciate Roger rabbit highlighter I ordered online. The brands website listed it cheaper than Sephora and they honored the price and gave me a refund for the difference. Not sure if they still do it though.

Hey @viotaliplip ! If your dandruff is caused by seborrheic dermatitis, then you can expect it to come and go; to my knowledge, there’s no permanent cure for that skin condition. You’ll need to control it using things like medicated shampoos. Sounds like a dermatologist has already recommended one to you. I agree with @SportyGirly125 that you should circle back with your derm (if you haven’t already) if that shampoo’s not working for you. But if your derm diagnosed you with dry scalp instead, that’s different from seborrheic dermatitis. Dry scalp is a lot like having dry skin anywhere else on your body: it needs more hydration and moisturization. I’m guessing this isn’t what you have since your derm suggested you use a specific shampoo.

@stacyyy0927 How long have you used Drunk Elephant A-Passioni™ Retinol Cream 1 oz/ 30 mL ? (Assuming that’s the DE retinol product you’re talking about; they make 2 different ones.) If your skin’s very used to 1% retinol, then The Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion Serum 0.5 oz / 15 ml might not irritate your skin. It’s hard to be certain because to my knowledge, there’s no one-to-one strength conversion chart for retinol vs. retinal. Sure, we know retinal works faster than retinol (requires one less conversion step than retinol to the active form of retinoic acid our bodies can actually use). But I don’t think any clinical studies have revealed a strength comparison. I used various retinol and granactive retinoid products at different strengths before switching to Avène RetrinAL 0.1 Intensive Cream a few years ago. That product contains 0.1% retinal and my reactive skin’s had no issues with daily use, aside from the one time I accidentally applied it to my undereyes before that skin was ready to tolerate it. Earlier this year I tested a full bottle of Youth To The People Retinal + Niacinamide Youth Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL (0.15% retinal) with no irritation, then went back to my usual Avène serum. This month I began testing The Ordinary’s 0.2% retinal. I started off using it every other night for 1.5 weeks, and now I’m using it each night. No issues so far, which is great because TO’s product costs far less per ounce than Avène’s and YTTP’s (and DE’s). That doesn’t mean you won’t have issues though. If you decide to try it, ease your skin into it like you (hopefully) did with the DE retinol: use it just a few times a week for a while to see how your skin tolerates it, and then increase usage. You might even want to use it just on one area of your face for a while as a patch test, rather than apply it to your whole face straight away.
