Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

It's ridiculous that we can't use our coupon codes as well as a promo code on Sephora's website. They should consider a coupon separate from a free promo item otherwise you have to choose between a discount or a promotional item (which may entice me enough to buy the full item if it's a deluxe sample). Ridiculous. I can't imagine I'm the only one upset by this...

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

I know... it frustrates me, too Smiley Sad

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

I concur

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

This is something that has already been brought to Sephora's attention, but no one knows if it will change.

I just ordered some items from ULTA instead of Sephora, since I was able to use a 20% off coupon and still receive GWPs. Smiley Happy

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

Agreed. It's incredibly annoying. For the amount of money most of us spend at Sephora, we shouldn't have to choose from getting 15% off or that adorable deluxe perfume sample. Get it together, Sephora.

I agree.

You are def not the only one upset

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

I agree, particularly for Rouge and VIB.

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

I miss being able to add promo codes but I couldn't pass up the Dolce mini perfume!!

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

Amen!

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

Even if they just made an exception for chic week. I would feel better about it.

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

Exactly. Bah.

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

No kidding. I'm not asking for unlimited promos, but being able to get one promo and one discount isn't asking much.

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

Just the millionth person to agree with you...

I had to place two orders just now so I could get the discount on the larger order and the mini perfume with a smaller order, but it just feels so unnecessary Smiley Sad

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

This is exactly what I was considering today, and it infuriated me. It's just a decision we shouldn't have to make, especially considering that they do these coupon discounts very seldom. I just ended up letting my stuff sit in my basket as I consider what I'm going to do...

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

I think thats what will end up happening for me. But I just wont order anything at all in the end out of frustration.

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

I was so close to doing that, too. I ended up buying my stuff anyways since I have Rouge free shipping and wanted the discount. :-/

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

Yeah seriously.

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

Absolutely. I ended up making a very large purchase on Ulta instead because of the 20% off and awesome GWPs. I keep trying to purchase from sephora to reach Rouge (I want the free shipping since I shop almost exclusively online) but it's seeming less and less worth it. I mean, if the big perk of being rouge is getting a bag of foils, count me out.

Re: Coupon codes should be considered different from promo codes

I feel exactly the same way about reaching Rouge. Based on what I've read here on BT from Rouges, there's not very much about the program that excites me and makes it sound desirable to reach, especially in comparison to similar reward programs from other retailers.  Smiley Sad
