Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x

Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)

5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Also, kinda random, but anyone ever have a fraudulent transaction when using Ebates for an Ulta purchase? I placed an Ulta order through their app last Saturday and then an hour later a second order was placed on my account redeeming 500 points and spending $150 on multiples from my loves list plus 5 Hoola Lites- that got delivered to my house! I was all excited thinking I was getting gratis until I checked my order history and saw that "I" had placed the order, tehe. I'm getting it worked out with Ulta, but it totally sucks because they want to cancel my card and send me a new one but no one can guarantee it'll get here before the Platinum Appreciation event. Just wondering if anyone has ever had this happen before?! It made my laugh at least since I rarely use bronzer, and 5 got delivered in one day! Thinking it's just a glitch.... but super weird. Heads up to check your order history and verify it's all you!

I'm in Southern California, so all my Ulta purchases take a week... then today I got one of two orders placed on Monday! I checked and it was shippped from Fresno. Just bummed I got the wrong Smashbox foundation shade. (I'm hoping they'll let me exchange it in store when I redeem my birthday gift.)

I don't see why they wouldn't let us exchange for our correct shade. I still have the BM Tinted Gel from last Perk day, that I plan to exchange for my correct shade (it was a smidge too dark). I haven't opened it.. I tried it later in the store and got shade matched. I'm hoping because I didn't touch it, they'll let me just even exchange it. 🤞

They let me exchange it, but were confused since I could only show them the app purchase & how they sent the wrong shade. (My receipt was in the trash.) FWIW, the clerk seemed over it & was a little snippy, then called a manager over. When I left, I objectively filled out the survey listed on the receipt. I shop online for GWP's & hate crowds, so I've only shopped Ulta in-store 3 times, including the salon, but this was the first time the experience was less than stellar. Conversely, I've been into Sephora about five times & only one trip was even remotely pleasant. Maybe it was a coincidence, but the pleasant experience was just after a meeting I'd dressed up for; I was in jeans and tees for the other trips in. (I was in my park uniform at Ulta, which is when people are usually nicest unless they're cussing at me when I ask them to leash their dogs. Ha!) Long story, I still loathe shopping for beauty in person except at Nordstrom where they're always super helpful.

I have a similar story on the opposite coast @NatureGirlSD. I mentioned in a prior post that I hope that I ordered the correct foundation shade. I asked others on BIC if anybody has received orders shipped from the Harrisburg, Pa warehouse and my order was shipped from there for he first time that I could remember in awhile. My order is due to be delivered tomorrow.

You can see which shade you ordered in your order history; clicking on the foundation will take you right to the shade you chose.

I was so excited that I took it out & tried it over the primer, but was floored by the shade. Then I checked the bottle & box and saw it was 0.1 instead of 1.0, which would be an easy mistake in the warehouse. (First time trying each product & I love the way both go on, FWIW.)

Unfortunately, my receipt's buried under the trash, so I hope they can look at my order history to confirm. Worst case, I can use it in the dead of winter with a turtleneck. :-))

I never purchased a Smashbox Foundation so I hope that I chose the correct shade @NatureGirlSD. I wear the shade N35 in Cover FX and Medium in IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation. I ordered 2.4 Neutral Beige in the Hydrating Foundation.

I hope that if anybody ordered the incorrect shade that Ulta will exchange it for the correct shade.

Oh no @NatureGirlSD I very blindly chose my shade. I wanted to hurry and place an order because I was worried stuff would start selling out, so I just guessed!

I went to findation dot com to match a shade I use from another brand with a shade in smashbox. I couldn’t believe the shade the computer picked! It looked way too pink and like a shade I would never wear. So I went to an Ulta store to get shade matched. I didn’t tell her the shade findation picked. The sales lady talked about Smashbox being difficult to match but she picked the same shade that findation picked. I was so surprised! I guess Ill see when it gets here!
