Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Would be cool if there was a sample swap bucket at Ulta like there is for coupons at the food co-op. lol I feel like organizing a beauty brunch to do a swap, maybe include barely used items too... hair products, not eye/lip. I use to organize these a few times a year with my bestie in Denver for clothes, accessories, beauty product, and costumes. They were always a fun way to declutter, catch up with friends, and pick up something new.

I was disappointed in all the Cyber funday mystery bags. If anyone wants to swap my mystery bags, Clinique/Estee Lauder for the mystery gift from Black Friday, please let me know. Depending on the mystery gift I would gift both bags for one bag swap.

I could also throw in all the Lorac gwp except for the brush 🙂

@alexalicious You don't even know.  I think we all collect freebies like they're worth something, and now I have a box of freebies I am not crazy about.  I donated quite a few things to a hospital last week -- they were looking for travel size shampoos/toiletries, so I unloaded all the stuff I didn't want from the ulta gwp bags.  Lots of It's a 10! leave in conditioners, drugstore brands of shampoo/conditioners.  I'm glad someone is getting use out of them.  

It would be cool if there was a swap meet.  Like 50 of us converge in a mall food court somewhere with all our stuff and swap out what we can.  

The sephora traveling boxes aim to do this, but it ends up being so expensive with shipping.  Everyone has to pay like $20 for shipping, and if you have 20 people in the group, that ends up being $400 (overall) for shipping, and really cost ineffective. Plus, people always end up getting into fights about TSBs.  

I wish I had more friends near me who were makeup junkies... but for now I've just been slowly converting my friends and co workers.  I gave my bff 2 eyeshadow palettes in one month: 1 for her birthday and 1 as a wedding favor.  LOL.

@itscarinMy sister didn’t want the naked heat palette because I gave her too many palettes this year. I only gave her 2 or 3. Weirdo. 😂 I am going to put that up for the annual fundraiser the humane society has in my town. 

Does anyone have ideas for perfume samples?  I have so many and I’m allergic to most. I thought nursing home but do they really want perfume all over there?

Hi!

i work in a high school, and the girls always love it when I give them perfume samples. They’re easy for them to stash in their backpacks to “freshen” up on the go. There are also nomadic shelter boxes at most high schools. Any unused samples can go to these— many teenagers are homeless or living in less than ideal situations.

@Indy701 I don't have a particularly good idea of how to donate them.  What I do is take all the cardboard the vials come in off, and then I throw them into a bag which probably has a hundred vials in it.  One time, I noticed I had about 12 vials of Alien, so I waited to finish my purse spray of Black Opium and then refilled it with Alien.  It lives in my office now.  

That doesn't help you if the smells are giving you a headache though.  😕

Whomp whomp 😞 Sorry to spoil the dream of something better! The sizes are nice, but I probably won't use it either. I saw that none of the others were something I wanted, so I gambled on the unknown. It was worth a shot. 😛 

I wish we'd get some Drybar shampoo/conditioner stuff (something other than packets)! I'd love to try them, but they don't seem to put much out besides Hot Toddy/Prep Rally/Triple Sec/Detox. I won't use the first 3, so I haven't checked out much of their stuff. I do like Detox, but find the teeny tiny cans to be a big ol joke lol

Meh on the bags though. I guess I'm just getting too jaded /slash/ have been shopping Ulta too long...I have 95% of each bag, and the other 5% isn't tempting enough. And packets are becoming way too prevalent in the $50+ bags (really, even Purity comes in packets now?).
