Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

For the people that have done buy online and pickup in store - is it a fairly easy process? I know some stores are great (example Panera Bread) and then others (example the Petsmart near my work that's run by people that would rather play on their phones) either have issues filling your order or things are missing/wrong items etc. Thanks in advance and also now I want Panera Bread lol!

Oohhh thanks for the extended list @greeneyedgirl107 . I've picked up from Target before and that really is about it. No issues there myself either and much easier when it's just one or two items.

I've had only good experiences with BOPIS when I actually went in the store for the pickup. I've had technical issues with the drive up to pickup but the employees were always really nice and my orders were always correct. (Their system didn't notify the employees that I was waiting for pickup so I eventually called the store to let 5hem know I was waiting. I would have went in but my toddler was asleep in the car and it would have been a nightmare to get him in and out of the car seat 😬) but I will say I've had similar issues with Panera too with the curbside service 😅 lol

@phantompenguinx I'm glad they were able to help you out and thanks for the info! Nothing like messing with a car seat and a sleeping toddler - you Moms need all the help you can get!

@niki172  I've had good experiences and have yet to get an incorrect BOPIS order. Ulta texts me when my order's ready. If I don't pick it up that day, they send a reminder text the next day. I also get a confirmation text when I've picked up my order. My local Ultas each have a little pickup desk/area at the entrance, but it's not always staffed (unsurprisingly); an employee or security guard has always asked if I'm picking up an order and then flagged down the employee who can help me. 

But yeah, experiences may vary by store location. One of my local Ulta locations is known to be not-so-friendly staffed, and I'm not willing to try BOPIS there. 😄

I had an excellent experience with BOPIS at Ulta @niki172. The staff could not be more friendly and helpful. I did not even need to take my drivers license out from my wallet.

Thanks @Loretta55 for the input - it's nice when they don't give you the 5th degree about a pickup especially if you have the email pulled up and everything. Just one less thing to juggle.
