Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):

Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)

Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

@BluEve @civ2ru Here are my screenshots showing how to change this on Sephora’s website. I don’t think you can access these BIC settings on Sephora’s app. (I always use the site instead of the app.)
If the photos are too blurry, click/tap ‘em to show full size. I don’t know why BIC sometimes over-compresses photos uploaded from phones.
If you’re on your phone: that top BIC navigation bar (starts with the “Community” button) can be swiped/slid over to reveal the cog icon. Once you’ve tapped the cog, you’ll see your BIC settings. Here’s where PM settings are:

@WinglessOne Aaah, you are so kind! 😊 I was able to receive PM without issues just this past June, haven’t changed anything, so I don’t know why my settings would have suddenly changed? But you’re right, the check mark was missing in that box. Thank you! Sephora BIC really makes it unnecessarily difficult. Even posting in community is iffy – some days I can do it from browser, some days only from app. 😖
@civ2ru No problem! A month or 2 ago, Sephora turned off PMs for everyone. There was a thread about it telling us all to reenable PMs, but it didn’t give clear instructions on how to do that.
I still wonder why they changed that setting… I assume it has something to do with all the kids flooding BIC. 😅 The age limit for BIC used to be 16. I keep forgetting to check T&C, but I assume Sephora removed the age limit to allow kids to post here—you know, gotta that “Sephora kids” revenue stream as open as possible. 🙄 Sephora’s legal team might’ve insisted kids not have PMs automatically enabled, because they’d be able to receive messages from everyone and anyone. Instagram, for instance, restricts kids’ accounts so they can get PMs only from followers or folks they follow (and followers have to be approved; IG kid accounts are automatically set to private). But I don’t think BIC has that functionality, so a workaround was to just turn off everyone’s PMs—and I’m not sure how that does much since kids can just go and reenable PMs, and there’s no setting to allow PMs only from BICers they follow… I mean, they can still get creepy/spammy/fishing PMs like the rest of us sometimes do. 🤷♀️ I wish there was a way to stop that for all of us, but especially for kids since they’re now allowed to post here.
