Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.  

Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.

The product id is the number given to the item in the URL.  So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number.  If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta. 

It's not a search, but the direct url to the page. 

Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar.  It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204  Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.

My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:

(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward.  E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward.  Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase.  Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.

Yaaasss, I'm definitely interested in checking out more of this brand! I so rarely shop outside Ulta that I keep forgetting about them, but I'm using their vitamin c powder now and am liking it, so the potential for an easy repurchase is something I'm looking forward to, along with trying more of their stuff!

On a tangential note,I was surprised to discover that Ulta only carries one vitamin c powder that I can find, a ridiculously overpriced offering from Philosophy. Fingers crossed that they get the GM one (and/or pick up The Ordinary's as well).

Here's my 20pc sampler with $80 in app purchase from last week. 

Pretty darn close to what was pictured, strivectin hyper-lift eye packet subbed for peach and lily.

Jane iredale is the foil in top left, meh.

Overall I'm happy to see so many new samples in this gwp, including 2 fragrance minis that are new to me.

I didn't go for the step up this time.

BTW, I’m seeing that Clarins Total Eye Lift a lot lately, also in many various magazines’ ads (including Allure). I have a sample but I’m yet to get to it. Anyone tried it, is it any good?

Two of them were swapped out and one of them (the roller ball) was significantly downgraded.  I'm not trying to be dramatic but this is sooooooo disappointing!  I was opening this box thinking about how excited I was for the purse spray/roller ball, and then I find 5 minis and no roller balls!

I actually bought 2 big size perfumes to get both selection 1 & 2. The first one is coming today and the other one on Friday. I would be extremely disappointed if I don't get those promised GWP. 50% of the reason for both orders were for those GWP.... I shall update.

Update: the first order came in. This one had the sample set with YSL Black Opium, Clinique Happy, Burberry London Dream, Elizabeth Alden White Tea, and Lancome Idole Intense and everything came correctly. 

But I know the one everyone here is having problem with is the other set. So, stay tuned! That set is coming on Friday. I shall update again.

Okay my second order was just delivered! What I got is:

• Viktor&Rolf BonBon Travel Spray (as promised)
• Chloe Nomade Eau de Parfume (as promised)
• Jennifer Lopez Promise Eau de Parfume (as promised)
• Ralph Lauren Romance Eau de Parfume (as promised)
• YSL Mon Paris 7.5ml (sub for Valentino Voca Viva)

I'm actually quite happy with it! I love Mon Paris! and I've never tried the Valentino one that I'm not so sad for missing that one. It could be an amazing perfume but I am still very happy!

Update: I reached out to Ulta because this is a huge let down from the original offer and they just offered me a $15 gc, which I don't think is adequate.  I told them it's a violation of 16 CFR Part 238 and that I was requesting an equivalent compensation to the original advertisement.  They said they'd escalate and I'd hear back from them within a business day.

I'm not optimistic about this.  In the past, I think Ulta customer service was much more apt to offer better compensation.  I'm really not trying to be difficult but the whole reason I made the purchase was for the purse spray.  I just don't think a $15 gc is appropriate.  

Did anyone else place an order for the perfume sampler with the purse spray?  I'm wondering if *anyone* actually received the purse spray.  Also wondering if you didn't receive the purse spray, were you able to get an equivalent compensation from customer service?

@itscarin you are totally justified.

I've seen a bunch of times where it looks like they made a typo in the description, which they do waaaay too much and seems deceptive to make things seem bigger or better then what you'll receive.

But if they've pictured it and put it in the description, then they should honor it, particularly if it is the featured or high value item that props up those ridiculous gwp $$$ values they claim. 

I can't tell you how many times it's happened to me just in the last year, usually with a packet sub or nothing. The least they can do is sub comparable product/value since the whole intent is you'll spend more $$$ to get the gwp.

I only got a $15 gc for two missing diamond perks gifts in January on top of several missing deluxe samples in the gwp bag on the same order. Seemed super shady that my gwps were on my invoice and not in the box.

I think Ulta is getting sloppy and stingy, even though I think they did quite well last year despite the pandemic.

Thanks for sharing. I'm curious how it turns out for you. Hopefully some good comes out of this.

@alexalicious It sounds like Ulta is getting stingy.  I remember in the past people would call up customer service with the smallest issues and get substantive GCs for their troubles.  It's pretty garbage that you didn't get your diamond perk and they only gave you a $15 gc.  I'm not sure what the perk was worth but I'm assuming it was more than $15.  Did you push for more than $15?  I just find it's a hard pill to swallow that they "can't send out any replacement gifts" when they very clearly have the item in stock on their site right now.  If you can't send me the purse spray, then send me enough to buy the purse spray.  I just don't think it's right they said purse spray and then give me a bunch of minis and a GC for 1/2 the value of the one item I wanted.  If they insist on only giving a $15 GC I'll take the GC and return the item or something.  Not sure what I'm going to do yet but I'm definitely not interested in the items I bought without the free gift.
