Let's keep this thread on topic!
Ulta points refresher (because yes, it is that complicated):
Item #1 - $53.50
Item #3 - $108.50 (and is eligible for a certain item/brand 5x multiplier)
* There is also a 5x all purchase multiplier and you are platinum so you get 1.25x
Total Spent - $162
Base Points Earned - 162
Platinum .25x Earned - 41 (162 * .25 = 40.5, and rounding up)
5x All Purchases Earned - 648 (it ends up being 4x because you don't count the base points)
5x Item/Brand Earned - 434
Total Points Earned - 1285
Links are not allowed. In lieu of links, please read this:
Please add product id numbers and sku numbers so people can find items on ulta.
Just to clarify, there is an item number that Ulta lists on the website, right under the picture of the item.
The product id is the number given to the item in the URL. So Ulta's site follows this formula of having the url and then the very last part of the url is "productId=xlsImpprod" followed by an 8 digit number. If you use that "productId" number you can get to the page of any item on ulta.
It's not a search, but the direct url to the page.
Click on any product, and then view the url in the address bar. It will look like this: ulta's website (not using the actual domain because BT admins don't like that) /prep-prime-fix?productId=xlsImpprod15921204 Replace the 8 digit product id of the item you want to see with the id of the product you're looking for.
My very unofficial Ulta point multiplier to approximate percent discount chart:
(This is a number where I use the multiplier to divide by 2000 to see how many dollars I would have to spend in order to redeem a $125 reward. E.g. 2000 points divided by 1 point multiplier means I have to spend $2000 to get the $125 reward. Adding how much I had to spend ($2000) + the reward ($125), and then using the reward ($125) to divide the total purchase ($2125), I get a discount of approximately 6% based on the total purchase. Note: the total purchase is based on the concept that you are spending just enough to reach the next $125 reward and combines the reward value with how much money you had to spend to get that reward.
Multiplier | 1 | 1.25 | 1.5 | 2 | 2.25 | 2.5 | 3 | 3.25 | 3.5 | 4 | 4.25 | 4.5 | 5 | 7.25 | 7.5 | 8 | 8.25 | 8.5 | 9 | 9.25 | 9.5 | 10 | 10.25 | 10.5 |

Just a thought but if you have your diamond rewards code you could use it on either the it cosmetics mascara or the Clinique foundation and it would count as a $25 purchase for the free lipstick.
I have no interest in Kylie Jenner anything but the thought of getting the lipstick set for free is triggering my rewards center. 😂. Paying $6 for shipping is the only downside.
too bad so many things are out of stock already. I’m going to call a store at 10 and see if the items they have in stock are the same price in store as they are online. Can’t be mad at the $12 perfumes!
I got the Kylie lipsticks, and free shipping for less than $35 with this:
I also found you can get free shipping playing around with the cart. For example, I added 2 of the Kopari CBD deoderants and then a mac item (the cherry collection blush) and the mac free gift was automatically included. Then I took out the mac item and although the chili lipstick was now $10 instead of free, it's still a good deal on the lipstick and shipping was free.
@itscarin Hmm, I thought you were Diamond and eligible for free shipping with any $25+ purchase anyhow? Or maybe I misunderstood...
@civ2ru That's a good point. I think it was supposed to be free shipping after $25 at one point, however, all I know is when I was putting my cart together today it said free shipping after $35. I'm diamond this year, but I only spent like $150 in 2020. I'm not sure if it's different for people who legitimately made diamond last year.
The sale page has gone absolutely nuts tonight; nearly 1400 items, lotsa zombie clearance with prices as low as six cents! I haven't looked through all of it yet, but a few items I've checked out have been OOS, so I'm not terribly hopeful about building a super duper cart with lots of goodies, but poke around and see if anything catches your eye!
ETA: there's a new brand tonight, Happy Dance!
What time did they start the crazy sale? Do they always do this secret Spring cleaning or is it always in March?
It was insane! I had a lot of goodies ready in my cart (like an hour ago) but just when I was about to check out the app log me off and after trying and trying non-stop for nearly 40 minutes I was finally able to log in again just to find everything out of stuck, this night changed quickly from being wonderful to officially suck 😢
For those looking for it the MAC Black Cherry collection is available online at Ulta. The best part is that they have 2 pretty good GWPS - a free full sized lippie in Chili and a full sized Gently Off wipes with a purchase of $45.
Yay @niki172 so glad you got it! And for once I got in on the freebies included also! Anxious to see our plum blush but also wish US had the other shade. Of course not. Lol
@Sunnysmom I wish they had the other shades also. I'm trying not to go back for another shade (that light pink) but I didn't check on it today so maybe it's sold out (that'll make my wallet happy lol).
I hear you @niki172 . I had fomo so I ordered the med pinky shade Sweet and happily it’s pink enough and not too peach. You may want it. Oops sorry. 😘. I will swatch it if you want to if no one else has yet. 🙂
I have more than $45 in MAC products in my car and I can’t add the wipes. I think it may require a special code.
@ArmyChick84 I think @itscarin is right about them being out. It added to my cart by itself when I had a blush and a lippie in my cart. Sorry I was out most of yesterday with a migraine so I didn't see this until now.
@ArmyChick84 I think they're out of the wipes. 😕 When you go to the product page (pimprod2022308) there's no button to add to cart:

This is amazing...I hope the program is successful 💓
"Ulta Beauty Launches Reusable Packaging in Partnership with Loop
Provides consumers with a sustainable solution that is simple and convenient"
here is the article:
I would be curious to know how stringently they clean their bottles before refilling them and giving them to the next customer (call me a germaphobe but with everything going on in the world I don't want to share a skincare bottle with a stranger as that stuff is going on my face). To me things like droppers would be extremely hard to make 100% sanitized (then again maybe they just pitch the old dropper for a new one). I also am curious of how environmentally friendly this is in the long run. As you are driving vehicles that most likely burn fossil fuels to pick these items up and take them back to the warehouse it is just as easy for a person to put this in their recycling bin if the containers are made of for example glass.
@niki172 Did I misread the article? I thought that the reusable portion is a package that your products are arriving in. For example, if I bought 3 widgets, instead of getting a big dumb card board box with the widgets inside, I'm getting the reusable plastic container with 3 widgets inside.
Are you saying it's like Coca Cola bottles in Peru where you get a glass 2 liter of Coca Cola, and once you're done using it, you take it back to the store to get your deposit back? They then take the emptied glass Coca Cola bottles and clean them and refill them with Coke.
I mean, the Coca Cola system doesn't seem weird to me because that's just how they roll. I trust that they're washing it out thoroughly.
With Covid, I can't remember how long the life span of the virus is on a non-porous surface like glass. That being said, I've never wiped down my groceries or packages. Everybody has their own comfort level though.
@itscarin I went to their website and the way they broke it down was that it was like the milkman from day's past which is what led me to believe that they were taking the used bottles back and washing them for reuse (at least that's how it worked when you got milk delivered). So maybe I got it wrong, but that wasn't what I gathered from their article so now I'm not sure.
