@sister13 Wow, you look so beautiful! I really like what I've tried from DM, but sometimes I don't feel like I know how to use some of her products because they are so versatile. This is very helpful! 🙂

@danielledanielle, I ordered individual brushes this time, including the no. 7. I don’t think 9 was in this order but depending on how these first few perform, I may slowly build my collection - so while my makeup collection is being whittled down, my brush collection is in a constant state of growth. Strategic growth and diversification. lol.Good call on holding onto Beautylish credits. I’m aiming to keep mine for the LNY 2025 brush (that I’ve just assumed they will have because why would we not keep the Chinese zodiac family together?) 😆 In large part because I’m contemplating a no buy for early next year. I know, I know. That’s months away and I should be focusing on my current no buy, of which I’m on Day 3 and going strong strong-ish … ummmm … going. Yes, going. 🙄😝

Tips for product reviews

Hello fellow Sephora lovers,While I can only speak for myself, I’m willing to bet other Sephora shoppers use the product reviews to help decide on products to purchase and leave more confused than they arrived. While everyone has their own experience and is entitled to their opinion/preferences, you are reviewing the product. I’ve noticed ratings are often skewed by issues unique to the individual that have little to do with product quality or only reviews one dealbreaker. So, below I’ve shared on 4 common examples. Please know I’m not attacking or criticizing anybody but trying to increase objective reviews to improve accuracy. Example 1: “The shade looked bad on me.”A colour matching error does not mean the product itself is bad. If someone selected or were recommended the wrong shade, when a better one was available, and you would buy it, then it doesn’t make sense to give the product a bad review for human error.examples that SHOULD be touched on in your review/score:”I have heard great things about this product, but after trying a couple different shades I could not find one that matched me. I’m disappointed by the limited range.””I bought this shade online based on similar purchases and recommendations. Despite being marketed as warm undertone, it definitely has a pink base and washed me out.” Example 2: “This product caused an allergic or adverse reaction/breakout/dryness.”While this should absolutely be included to give a heads up to people who are prone to such things, it doesn’t tell us why the product is responsible. - Allergic/adverse: while this definitely makes it a bad product for you, it does not make it a terrible 1 star product for the average shopper who likely won’t react. You should still give an accurate review of the objective features in addition to your experience. Your experience is still useful for those with chemical allergies and sensitive skin and yes, it doesn’t get 5 stars but a 1 star review for a problem unique to some skews results, especially if no false claims are made (eg/ “clean” or for sensitive skin). If it caused reactions for 25%+ of people it likely couldn’t have gone to market. -breakout/dryness: This should absolutely be included, but more detail and/or certainty is helpful to show that the product is to blame. If your skin was clear, similar products have not caused breakouts and especially if marketed as non comedogenic - then bad score is definitely warranted. However, if all similar products cause breakouts, your skin was already broken out and a bunch of makeup was put on top or there is a possibility there’s another reason then that should be accounted for. While you don’t need to share these details with the public, perhaps include it when formulating your score. Same goes for dryness.Examples that SHOULD be touched on in your review /score:- “Despite this product being marketed for sensitive skin, I had a reaction everywhere that the product was applied and it had a harsh chemical scent. Would not recommend for people with sensitive skin or chemical allergies.”-“After using this product I had a severe break out. Though I am acne prone, I have used similar products in the past that I did not have a problem with. I only purchase noncomedogenic products so this may be misleading.”-“This product dried out my skin more than others have in the past, even with regular moisturizer and a hydrating primer.” Example 3: “Product is clumpy/cakey/flaky, etc..”Again, this is useful information, but is it a bad product? These issues are just as likely to be a skin preparation or application issue rather than a product issue.examples that SHOULD be touched on in your review/score:-“This product is quite difficult to blend. I prepped my skin, used a silicone based primer and applied with a brush/beauty blender using my normal technique. After a couple attempts, it continued to flake.”-“This product starts to fade and transfer even with skin prep, primer and setting spray more than similar products I have tried. Example 4: One strike, you’re outI’m also a tough critic and have dealbreakers when it comes to a product, but when reviewing the product as a whole it is helpful to assess it that way. Does not liking the packaging or the scent really make it 1 star? Also, those things are preferences and not objectively bad things like false marketing, low quantity for price, ingredients, etc. Ultimately, you have the right to say an ugly package makes the product not worth buying but if you paid the money and took the time to try it, why not write about how it applied, how it looked, etc. to give a global overview.Again - this is not a call out or an attack but some things to consider.

@Nilzi @Have you checked your veins on your wrist? One of the quickest and the most common ways to determine your undertone is to check the insides of your wrist. If your veins appear blue or purple, you have a cool undertone. If they look green, you're warm. If you're having a hard time narrowing down between blue or green, you most likely have a neutral undertone.

Hi @MelGal93 - I layer powder blushes over NUDESTIX Nudies Cream Blush All-Over-Face Color on most days. The shade I think would complement the Dior best is probably Cherie.
