Lisa Eldridge lipsticks

Wondering if the Lisa Eldridge lipsticks are worth hunting down? Thoughts?

😕 @TraceyEB . I’ll look for her video. I did try that with Midnight also, helps but its still quite dull purple and just not ideal. Decade is just plain horrible on me. Lol. Am sure others can do it but not me. And so patchy. Worst of bunch sadly. Will be good to hear what you think. You’re usually not as extreme as I am on my thoughts. lol 😆

@Sunnysmom, You should definitely return the ones you don't like and give Lisa E. feedback on them. I ordered Naya, a brown from Natasha Denons that didn't have any red in it, and it looks horrible on me. It's a milk chocolate shade that gathers in the lip lines and is patchy when reapplying. I tried mixing it with a bright orange but have decided to give it away. Definitely return Decade. Maybe Midnight would look better with a gloss over it...

@Sunnysmom, hmmm indeed. You could call customer service to see what your options are or maybe post to Sephora's trade group.

@Sunnysmom I got a bunch.  Watched them go out of stock with the reds then the pinks because I couldn't decide.  I got all but Myth yesterday - Myth was shipped separately and seems to have taken a side trip to another part of the country before coming to my state (??? according to the tracking information....).

I had a work event last night and got home late so didn't take a look.  Meant to grab one on my way out - even wore neutral makeup so which one didn't matter. Forgot...

I am really not thrilled with the Midnight shade based on your swatches.  So much wrong with it (hard color to wear for most, patchy, stiff looking).  Decade I would need to see on but the formula does seem to have issues. Sorry to hear that you are disappointed.  She did so well with releases one and two.  Tonight I will actually look at mine and tell you my thoughts.  When Myth returns from its vacation (if it isn't really just lost) I will let you know my thoughts on that one as well.

Yup @meganlisa you said it, the formula on the dark shades is not good. I hope Myth has only been on a mini holiday and shows up asap because I know you’ll like that one. And I’m sure any other red or pinks .☺️Will be good to hear your thoughts so I won’t think I’m too crazy. ( too...lol ) 🤗🥰

@Sunnysmom Can you believe I haven't even had time to take a look yet. Crazy.  Lisa E. did a video about making dark shades more wearable.  Maybe with this formula, that is what needs to be done (blot them on).

@Sunnysmom thx for posting.  Sorry to hear that.  I want Myth and Skyscraper Rose but i'm too slow and Myth sold out.  Well i have to wait until next batch then.

@Sunnysmom  That makes me a little sad! I actually didn't pick up Decade or Midnight specifically because I have very pigmented lips that tend to change the undertones of many lipsticks. Arm swatches never look quite like the lip swatches on me, cool tones pull warm and deep shades go EXTRA deep. I'm waiting on Myth, Muse, and Skyscraper Rose!

@MissPuff Well again don’t just go by me but I’m sad for at least those 2 shades  :(.  I know lip tones change all but just in terms of application and texture they remind me of the old Loreal matte release LE the other year. Yuk. You will love Myth and Skyscraper Rose and hoping Muse also. 🥰

@Sunnysmom  Hey. I am wearing Decade today and while I love the colour I agree that it is rather patchy on sadly 😞 This was my first experience with Lisa Eldridge and I am not sure I am loving the formula thus far sadly 😞

Hi @ChristalM .  I’m glad the color is pretty on you that’s a bonus at least. I thought maybe the patchy was from being cold etc from shipping but nope. The past releases were so much better. Did you get Midnight also did you say?

@Sunnysmom  Yeah I got the deep velvet set. Sadly I was expecting more from a set of 3 lipsticks that cost me 169 😞 I might see if I can sell this set. I only tried Decade.

Do you think they look similar to pics on her site / models etc? I feel like Myth is closest. Even first releases weren’t quite same to me tho I know computer screens etc. 🙂 Even Decade looks so different on her and other girls. I don’t get it. 😞

@Sunnysmom I have only tried Decade but it is def a cool shade on me! Which is nothing like the photos to me. It is pulling more mauve on me. Which is very odd...
