100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@blackkitty2014 Your lipstick collection is already so different from mine. I don't have a single lipstick from any of those brands but Tom Ford, and that was a gift from a BIC member. I think I have purposely stayed away from the super high end brands because I'm afraid of what will happen if I delve in to them....

I hear ya...Once I started buying higher end lipsticks I got obsessed. But, Revlon and L'Oreal are soooo good too. The Oil in Slick lipsticks by YSL are almost.....pretty close....to the L'oreal oil in lipsticks at CVS..  L'oreal and Revlon are my go to in drug store..believe it or not, I love Wet n Wild lipsticks too.  I been buying Wet n Wild for 30+ yrs..Its a good brand for the money...Lately, Im buying Giorgion Armani, Shiseido, the new powder matte lipsticks are nice...I been getting Guerlain, my new fav. Lancome, somd Estee Lauder, Lipstick Queen...just to name a few...whats sick is.....Im now obsessed with blush...dont get me started! Photo shows about 1/4 of my collection..On my vanity, those I wear most

@alexasteph  Bonne Bell Dr. Pepper Lip Smackers makes me nostalgic.  I loved it when I was younger ... who am I kidding?!  I love it NOW.  ❤️  Great choice!

@itsfi I know right?? I bought it for the nostalgia. And it’s actually Lip Smackers, I was wrong, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious! I had a Coca-Cola tube at one point too.

Yes, the Coca Cola one!  ❤️  Those lip smackers are amazing!  I must have worn the Dr. Pepper one for literally, years, before finally thinking to myself that I should probably try the soda on which it was based. The soda was a letdown for me but that Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker!!  ❤️ ❤️ <3 I still keep at least 2 - one to use and one as a backup!  LOL!

I wasn’t able to grab a pic, but for Day 1 I wore Nars Jungle Red. This is one of my favorite everyday reds! It feels like a “casual red,” if that makes sense? I can wear it with a jean jacket and sneakers (which I did today!) and it’s not too fancy or out of place. It’ll pull an outfit together and take you from lunchtime to the taphouse (which I also did today...).

It looks great. This is actually a great way to model colors and see them on different skin tones.

@snoflakefaerie Patina is a classic really. It should be in everyone’s collection imo!

When I first got it, I thought it was a boring color, but I have to say, it has become one of my favorite lipsticks to use when I want something, but nothing too crazy. I definitely prefer the shimmer version to the regular matte, but both are really beautiful. I agree it's a good one to have in any collection. @alexasteph
