100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

It looks great. This is actually a great way to model colors and see them on different skin tones.

@snoflakefaerie Patina is a classic really. It should be in everyone’s collection imo!

When I first got it, I thought it was a boring color, but I have to say, it has become one of my favorite lipsticks to use when I want something, but nothing too crazy. I definitely prefer the shimmer version to the regular matte, but both are really beautiful. I agree it's a good one to have in any collection. @alexasteph

oh wow  what a great idea @snoflakefaerie ! I'm not sure how many lipsticks I have but it's for sure over 50 and probably more. this sounds really fun!!!

@Kim888 Even if you don’t have 100,  you should totally participate if you want to do a different lipstick everyday and go through your collection (that’s really the point of it). I’m a little daunted by the prospect of doing this, but I think it’ll be a lot of fun.

Oh, wow! I would love your haul! I have about 30 lipsticks and I wear them on a pretty regular rotation. What an amazing idea though!

@Freyabell About half of them are mini ones, so I’m only half crazy? I definitely feel more inclined to buy lipsticks when I can get multiple shades for the price of 1, which has lead to this over abundance of lippies. That’s awesome you regularly rotate through your stash; it’s the smart thing to do.

Ooh great idea! Now that it’s August this is a good transition period in to fall. We can see how our shade choices change as the weather starts to turn, while forcing us to shop our collections and remember what’s there. I’ll start my 100 days tomorrow since it’s the end of the day now.

Day 1: ColourPop Liquid Lipstick in Tulle

This looks much lighter in the tube, so I'm always surprised by how dark it is. Application is a little patchy, but it lasted probably 6-7 hours.

Your bright and nutrified. A good day lipstick. At night you can deepen the pigment (apply more of it liberally and use it to add definition to the lip borders, then more liner on your eyes, third take down your hair, style how you like (a down do), and then the look changes easy to bright and sultry.

The shade of that color works on either side of its spectrum for you.
