100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Missed posting yesterday because I staying in bed as long as possible before going to work, but I snapped a picture in the car.

Pardon the zit on my chin. I like the idea of this color a lot, but it definitely settles in to lip lines. It also looks way more neon/white based IRL than it shows in this picture.

@snoflakefaerie Did you ever try an invisible lip liner ? I have one and stops lipsticks from bleeding! Maybe a lip primer can also help to avoid lipsticks settling in lip lines?

Ha I have both the UD and Bite ones, I just always forget to use them. I also didn't scrub my lips yesterday, which probably didn't help either. I should remember to do both next time I use the formula. @keana1

@snoflakefaerie I love bright pinks too, I just don’t pull them out much! I may today though. Maybe the formula isn’t working for you in that shade. Temptalia lists Smashbox Be Legendary Talk To Me as a 95% dupe, so that formula might work better. Of course, it’s the ONLY shade OOS right now!

Haha, you will probably see @alexasteph that I definitely don't need to add any more hot pinks to my collection. I think about 1/8 of all the lipsticks I have could be described as hot pink, magenta, or fuchsia. But your recommendation did prompt me to look at Temptalia for dupes, and it turns out I already have a 90% (Bite Kimchi) and an 85% (Colour Pop Tickler) dupe in my collection!

I think I might not like the studded kiss formula very much, in general. I have maybe 8-10 more shades in it, so I will pay attention to how I feel about the other colors.

@blackkitty2014 Your lipstick collection is already so different from mine. I don't have a single lipstick from any of those brands but Tom Ford, and that was a gift from a BIC member. I think I have purposely stayed away from the super high end brands because I'm afraid of what will happen if I delve in to them....

I hear ya...Once I started buying higher end lipsticks I got obsessed. But, Revlon and L'Oreal are soooo good too. The Oil in Slick lipsticks by YSL are almost.....pretty close....to the L'oreal oil in lipsticks at CVS..  L'oreal and Revlon are my go to in drug store..believe it or not, I love Wet n Wild lipsticks too.  I been buying Wet n Wild for 30+ yrs..Its a good brand for the money...Lately, Im buying Giorgion Armani, Shiseido, the new powder matte lipsticks are nice...I been getting Guerlain, my new fav. Lancome, somd Estee Lauder, Lipstick Queen...just to name a few...whats sick is.....Im now obsessed with blush...dont get me started! @itsfi I know right?? I bought it for the nostalgia. And it’s actually Lip Smackers, I was wrong, but that doesn’t make it any less delicious! I had a Coca-Cola tube at one point too.
