Sephora Six - Fast & Furious Edition

So, I've been challenging myself to do a full-ish face in about six minutes.  Have not succeeded yet ‌😭‌‌😅‌, so I'm looking to BIC for some tips to get past the finish line.

I want to know six products, any category, you use to get that quick glam.  Bonus if it includes skincare.  Double bonus if you've timed yourself and it's less than 7 minutes (if you include skincare, 10-15 min).

Thank you @PDXXXX ! Maintaining brow shape definitely helps me a lot. Lipstick may be my favorite makeup item, but brows are the one thing I won’t leave home without (unless a fire or fast-moving zombies force an emergency evac). So I’ve gotten good at speed-filling my brows over the years. 😅

It's very soft glam.  I didn't have a powder, so technically this was a Sephora Right between the powder and tinted moisturizer, but it was subtle and very Mocha Mousse.  I think it took me 10 minutes.  A lot of finger blending happened.

The Tower 28 blush and Sephora Collection lip balm are newer to me. This may be the first week I've used them in a capsule. The blush took up most of the time - it's pigmented and a little goes a long way. I somehow forgot about that the morning I was getting ready so spent some time sheering it out 😂

I can keep my time down when I have fewer cheek products and am not doing much detail work when it comes to my eyes.

This week's theme with the Capsule Makeup Collection Challenge 2025 focused, in part, on the minimum number of products needed for a full (or nearly full) face. My capsule consisted of the following six product and I was able to consistently to get it all done in just under 4 minutes.

BUT then .. 

Near the end of the week, I was trying to see if I could even narrow that down even more. I was able to get down to just the two palettes. Not ideal but doable; in hindsight, I would have included mascara. And, in under 2 minutes - I could have shaved off a little more time but I needed to use an eyelash curler (one of my favorite beauty tools) to give my lashes and overall visage a more alert and awake look. Mascara would be ideal but if we're talking what I need at a minimum from this week's capsule, it would be these two palettes and a mascara.

 

To be fair, my skin was looking strangely clear this week. That's not a complaint at all, just making a point. That helped a lot with my makeup application going on more smoothly and quickly.

Complexion products 

• I used the first row and third row of shades. The first was my foundation and concealer - I just applied it to my butterfly zone - cheeks and across the nose - with some emphasis around the corner of my nose. I have an acne scar that is healing just below my lower lip on the right side and I applied some product there as well to minimize the dark spot.
• The second shade on the first row I used to conceal and brighten my under eyes. A little goes a long way.
• Bottom row - the first shade I used as eyeshadow and the second as brontour.

Cheek products

• The first product on the second row I used for blush.
• The last product in the last row, I used for my lip color.

DIOR Fall/Winter Ready-To-Wear Palette

• I topped my MUFE lip color with both glosses, the darker mauve/plum shade to add some depth and consistency to the MUFE color and the pink to add some more shine and sparkle
• The beige color I used to set my makeup and my eyeshadow - this helped a lot since I didn't use a primer. I noticed some slight creasing but when I pressed the powder over my lips, it helped to manage the oils that came through and kept the shadows from creasing. As for a powder to set my complexion makeup, holy moly!! This stuff is good. I was very impressed, so much so that I need to find out if it's a product within the permanent collection. If it is, it'll be making its way here sooner rather than later ... but maybe after I finish the pan in this palette. That's be a good milestone - I have other powders and setting spray and I can do without a full size of the powder until I've used this one up. That said, I will be digging through my stash to look for it while working on decluttering next month.  
• I think this palette is an antique - I feel like it goes further back than what vintage would encompass - 2011. I didn't start using this until summer 2024. It passed and continues to pass the sight, smell, touch, patch and wear tests. I'll rely on those factors along with the use-by-date / makeup expiration date as noted by the symbol on the box (12 months of opening) for my guide with this one. Let's see how much wear I can get from it through the summer.

I didn't do a stopwatch, but I have a 6-minute timer for some reason 🤷🏽‍♀️, I guess it was for this... This doesn't include brows, because I do them during skincare, but I did touch them up within six minutes.

Okay that seems like so many products, but I was rushing like heck 😂😭

I don’t think it’s ideal for everyday though. I was rushing so much that by the end of it my counter looked like this. As someone with OCD, this was a big no and took me like 5 minutes alone to clean up 😂. 

 

But somehow overall my makeup look seemed okay! I actually quite liked how it looked, except for the mascara 🕷️ iykyk 

P.S this is not ideal for some. I do not do a full face and I also have bangs, sooo I never put makeup on my forehead which is kinda cheating 😂. Lmk what you think, this was an exciting challenge!

Wow! 6 minutes?! That seems crazy but with the right stuff, possible. I have gotten good at doing my whole routine in about 15 minutes because I’m ALWAYS running behind. (Skincare 5 minutes and Makeup 10)

Not sure if I’m reliable though because I don’t put on a full face really ever, but here are some of my tips.

Skincare

Prioritize 2-3 of your favorite products, whether it’s just skin concerns, spf, etc. No time for anything fancy.

Serums like the Glow Recipe Dew Drops can be a primer AND skincare product, anything sticky if you get what I mean. 

Makeup

 A concealer with good coverage. I’ve made the mistake in the morning of wanting full coverage and grabbing my light coverage one because it’s my fave. It ended taking like 5 minutes because I had to keep building it up and adding more.

Depending on the coverage you want, either go with skin tint or foundation. Or even just use concealer and save some time. In my opinion, skin tint is faster. If you choose foundation, I’d choose one that’s either a stick or 100% non messy, because when we’re running late we’re not the most cautious.

The battle of bronzer or contour, just pick your fave. No need for both.

Blush- Anything that can blend super easily and not be too pigmented. Stick blushes that blend into your skin are the way to go. For example you don’t wanna ruin the look with Rare Beauty or milk and not be able to fix it in time. 

Highlighter. This can also double as a cute eye shadow if you get like a rosey or coppery one. 

No time to curl the lashes. Just apply any mascara and use the wand to curl your lashes as you go. I know a lot of you like to get it all over your eye lids and then clean it off, no time for that. Just do it in one.

And that’s it! It’s all my opinion, and it may not work for some. ❤️
