Awww, thank you @sister13! Going into the sale, I had a list of beauty categories that were off limit for purchase because my stash is already ... very healthy in certain categories. After this haul, I think I may need to expand "No shampoo and conditioner" to "No hair care products". 😆

Yes, I was on no buy for hair care (but especially dry shampoo) until the DAE one came out. That K18, though, rivals my HG of the IGK First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo 6.3 oz/ 288 mL ! @itsfi

Ahhhh, that DAE one @sister13! I picked up a promo gwp of it, which means no more dry shampoo purchases for me until I either run out of dry shampoo or the fall/holiday sale starts up. 😁 Because yes, I'm pretty sure I won't run out (or run low) on dry shampoo before that sale.

I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHAT YOUR THOUGHTS ARE ON THE CONTOUR STICK BECAUSE I LOVE IT @itsfi I do find that it's very easy to overblend but I concentrate it with a small contour brush right into the hollows and voila, magically shapes my potato face 🥔 🎩 🪄

@jaaayp, that's good to know about overblending. My potato face is making a note - it looks forward to being shaped. 🗒 Out of curiosity, which brush do you use with this one?

Omg @itsfi I can tell by your small profile picture that you don't have a potato face like I do! My potato 🥔 face needs contour, bronzer, and concealer (reverse contour) to get any shape 😂 I use an OG real technique contour brush (the orange one.. I dont think they even sell it anymore???) I concentrate/draw it on almost like.. dramatically then just blend out the edges with the same brush (i blend upwards at all times) and if I overblend, I just take like a drop stamp of concealer and correct it so it doesnt look muddy. I do like to set it with translucent powder (I barely tap to set since the contour is so emollient). I'm pretty oily so I find that there's no cast with setting with powder after like 2 seconds LOL

Ohhh, a Real Technique brush @jaaayp? I need to rummage through my older brushes; I could very well have that brush. Way back when, when they first started, RT made this foundation brush that was ... perfection for powder foundation, liquid foundation, all the foundations! At one point, they redesigned it a bit and while the tweaks were not super significant, it wasn't the same for me. Okay, making a mental note. As for my mug, there's definitely a potato quality to it - that profile pic is all about the angles, girl! 📷

Omg are we OGs?? I used to watch the creators on YouTube and when they first started showing prototypes on their channel, I was SO. EXCITED. I used to collect every set they released until I noticed that their rubber base started getting sticky AND like you mentioned, they started tweaking their brushes (cost saving...?) 🫠 I'm actually in the market for a new brush set @itsfi any good recs? I know sephora pro brushes were recommended so I'm considering those but hmm... 

Considering we are low/no buy, I'm sure I can go through my 500 brushes and start rediscovering my old brushes. Gotta shop my own stash! RIGHT @itsfi ??!?!?!?

We are so OG's @jaaayp ‌‌‌‌❣️ Ahhh, Sam and Nic Chapman and their YT channel! Yeah, those rubber bases were great until they weren't! It's like NARS - I know I've had a product too long when that rubber material starts feeling sticky.

Oh, I really like the Sephora Collection brushes. I think the quality and performance is there - I mix and match them with my Chikuhodo or other Japanese fude-style brushes when doing my makeup. I literally just had a conversation about brushes and Sephora Collection brushes in particular. Hold, please while I see if I can find that post ... 

Here we go - 

15 eyeshadow - I think I have 3 or 4 of these in my stash. The size is great for my hooded eyes and my small lid space.

18 eyeshadow - pencil shape - this one I like for depositing color on my outer v - it works well with my smaller lid space and the fine lines/wrinkles I have there. 

45 concealer - nice for laying down product. The tip is nice for blemishes though I prefer the Kevyn Aucoin (discontinued) one for more precision and detailing 

50 powder - I like this for all over setting powder

57 concealer - blending and buffing

64 foundation - Real Techniques had a couple of buffing and face brushes a few years back that I loved for applying foundation. This one isn’t a dupe but it’s not bad.

71 concealer - corner of nose, under eye - the shape and design of the tip is unique and super functional 

80 powder bronzer

88 cream bronzer 

99 blush 

Looks like I need brushes for highlight, contour, and lips to round out my SC Pro brush collection. Making a note.

YESSS @itsfi nars too. Definitely. I have some pallets where the covers start to crack too. Surprised considering... we pay so much $ for it! 

Wow. I sometimes forget how thorough your reviews/feedback/notes are. Thanks for sharing!! Imma rummage through my collections and really determine if I need new brushes.

Keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏼for you @lmaster! This collection has made its way to other distribution partners (vs exclusive to Diptyque) so there’s a good chance there  will be stock available. Last I saw, Nordstrom, Space NK, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus & Bluemercury carried all or part of the collection.

How long is your no buy? June? Or, any chance someone needs help picking out a Mother’s Day gift for you? 😉🎁
