using multiple gift cards

I have multiple gift cards , one 10.00 and 7  more ar 5.00 each, total of 45.00 . when I try to pay for my order, i am only allowed to enter 2 gift cards, then it asks for a cc or other form of payment.  why cant i pay with my gift cards? I dont use cc.
